The location was perfect right across from the lake and park. The house was huge to accommodate our large family. We greatly enjoy the place as there was plenty of space for all.

We loved this getaway. The view of Lake Pepin is so pretty and the house was so spacious. Great neighborhood. Everything needed is walking distance.

Seven sisters and three sister-in-laws enjoyed a three night stay at this property. Appreciated that kitchen was equipped with plenty of pans, dishes and utensils as we like to cook. Table space was great for dinning and card playing. Definitely on our Go Back To list. Southern MN

This is my poker group's third visit to this lovely home in this wonderful town. The many beds and bathrooms really work well for our group of 7+. We adore all of the shops and boutiques downtown, eat and drink at all of the establishments, and even discovered the nail salon this time! The location of the home is within walking distance of downtown - excellent for quick (or long) shopping jaunts. The amenities of the home are top notch. We especially like how there is a table large enough for all of us to gather and play hold 'em as well as a large living room filled with comfy seating for all of us to watch movies by the fireplace. The owner is very easy to contact and has thoroughly provided things you will need. Highly recommend Chestnut House for any trips to Lake City!

Perfect spot for our annual girls weekend! Plenty of room for our group of 10. Could not beat the location right across the street from beautiful Lake Pepin. Lots of eagles and people watching, with many walking their dogs along the lake! Beautiful sunrises - such a bonus. Will definately return in the future.

Great location to wonderful downtown Lake City. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The home was beautiful , clean and spacious enough for us as a family to gather together comfortably and celebrate the Christmas holiday.

Second year staying here. Great place for large group - lots of sleeping space and space to spend time together. Lots to do nearby in RedWing and Wabasha as well as Frontenac State Park but just being together in the comfortable home overlooking Lake Pepin was the best part of the weekend!.

Spacious comfortable property that accommodates large groups. Traveled with 4 couples we each had our own full bath and were adjacent to the marina and downtown shops.

We absolutely love this property. Very comfortable beds and sleeping conditions. The view of Lake Pepin is awesome without any obstructions. We have been here three times and will be back next year. Love it.

Our pastors had an amazing and restful time away. The home was beyond their expectations, and they all came back adamant that they would book this again for another pastors' retreat or bring their ministry teams here for other retreats in a heartbeat. The home was clean, and the beds were very comfortable; everyone slept quite well. It truly was a fantastic stay!

Each year our group of 8 ladies takes a long fall weekend to renew our friendships, and share stories of our recent travel adventures or family events. It is a treasured time even when the weather is not good for being outdoors. This year was wet, windy & cold, but we stayed cozy by the fireplace with a glass of wine and good food. We also discovered Heidi's Huggamug Coffee Shop...BONUS!! We would come again and definitely recommend this spacious home to all.

10 family members from various states came together in Lake City for four days. Everyone had a great time. The location of Chestnut House is great.

This is the 3rd year in a row that our annual girl’s weekend have stayed in Lake City. This is a fabulous house for our 8 gals! The owners communicate quickly and the house manager is outstanding!! Thanks for another amazing stay in Lake City!

Ten 70+ ladies stayed 3 nights and loved the convenience, comfort, view, beds and location. It was as good as last year when the same 10 stayed and just had to return!

This house had a great location, wonderful view of the lake, close enough for walking to shops, marina, and of course along the lake. It was spacious so that we could spread out. There was a long table for plenty of seating for meals and comfortable sitting areas to gather indoors and outside. We found everything we needed. The owner was readily available by phone to quickly respond to a concern. For a group of women friends celebrating high school friendships and our 80th birthdays this house was what was needed. A big consideration was the five beds and baths on the main floor. The steps to the second floor are a bit steep and could be a challenge to some but there were enough of us that are still agile enough that this was not a problem for our group. The balcony off a second floor bedroom was a plus for quiet enjoyment of a view of the lake, boaters, eagles, pelicans, and for some the sunrise. We had a wonderful time. Thank you.

I’ve been to this place a couple different times with my in laws but this time with my siblings. We all had a great time plus sitting around the fire table in front of the lake was my favorite along with playing games on that big long table. Such fun!! Thank you!!

Great vacation home and location! Check in and out process was easy! Beautiful views. Front patio is a great place for people watching, catching up, and reconnecting. Highly recommend this home for larger groups!

Perfect location for family with small kids. Playground, splash pad and beach right across the street. Spacious home with room for 7 littles and 8 adults to spread out. Loved spread out sleeping areas and fenced in yard. Only suggestion would be blackout curtains. Rooms were very bright in morning and kids were up early. Will be back.

Perfect house for a large group right on the lake.

This property is well located and works wonderfully for a family vacation. Our adult children and small grandchildren joined us and the space worked out wonderfully for 9 of us. The splash pad and park across the street was very convenient for the little kids to enjoy. Well maintained home with a VERY responsive owner - Liane and a very responsive care taker - Lori.

The bedrooms and beds were good but because it was Water Skiing weekend, the bands right across the street played until midnight making it difficult for the young kids to get to sleep which made it difficult the next day with tired kids. Adults had difficulty sleeping as well. If not for it being Water ski weekend, I would have given this place 5 stars for all categories. In the future, it might be mentioned to people that this is a noisy weekend.

Wonderful view of lake and just across the street from park. Home had ample room for us (9 adults) , nice to have 4 bathrooms. Home was clean and was supplied with everything. Would recommend to anyone with large group! Thanks

Group of golfing buddies in town to play The Jewel and Lake City CC. Fantastic location with Huggamug right across the street, don't miss out on that gem, great coffee and breakfast option. Lake Pepin and a nice beach to relax and unwind also across the street. Would definitely make a return trip!

Spacious, clean, with every amenity. Beds were comfortable, plenty of linens, lots of room to spread out. Location across from the lake and close to a coffee shop was a real plus. Only one minor complaint - the lamps in the bedrooms need bulbs with higher wattage - reading in bed was difficult. We would definitely stay here again!

Our group of ladies had a fabulous stay and we'll definitely be coming back. The house was clean and suited our needs perfectly! Highly recommend a trip over to Villa Belleeza Winery on Pepin! It will not disappoint. All around 5 stars for our stay!
