What an amazing location, the backyard, docks, access to the sound, and the boats provided were perfect for our family reunion group. The house had everything we needed for a large group.

What an amazing location, the backyard, docks, access to the sound, and the boats provided were perfect for our family reunion group. The house had everything we needed for a large group.

Close to many activities and offers many that can be done right from this home from fishing to crabbing to going out on the water with one of their many, many available boating methods. Gorgeous sunsets and the house is fully stocked with anything you need (bring a hairdryer). On the days it has been rainy there was tons for our kids to do in the bottom level with all the games and such. The only downer has been having to carry all the sheets, pillowcase, towels, washcloths, and beach towels/gear in our luggage to travel with cross country. Made them quite heavier and required additional luggage which was burdensome when we were already carrying luggage for ourselves and our littlest ones. Overall, this property is absolutely wonderful and we feel lucky that we found it and we’re able to enjoy all that it and the area had to offer. Thank you, Stone family!

We spent the whole 4 days without a vehicle which turned out to be just fine. With bikes, kayaks, and great walking paths all around we filled every day without feeling trapped. The host is extremely responsive and the dock is ridiculously pretty-not to mention easy to find if you paddle really far out into the sound =). Great stay!

This property is 100% as advertised. Great time for the family with many activities inside and outside the house. The pier was amazing. The fishing was great as we caught plenty of large red drum right off the end of the pier. 5 Star property for sure

Beautiful long Easter Weekend at Sounds Perfect! Can't wait to visit again!

We were a group of 8 to include 2 boys. One who loves to fish and had a great time catching (and eating) crabs. The other loves the beach. So we had two very happy campers. The house is very comfortable. Lots of yard space and a long pier that gets you out into the water. We would love to go back.

House is clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The location on Kitty Hawk Bay is fantastic with incredible views. We spent most of our time on the awesome dock. Owner is great to work with!

We had a great visit to the OBX. The home was lovely. It was the perfect place to make family memories. There was plenty of space for everyone and lots to do. We spent hours on the dock crabbing, paddle boarding, kayaking and visiting with each other. The sunsets were amazing!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. Our family of 16 (8 adults, 8 kids) came together for the week. There was plenty of room inside for us without being on top of one another. The kids (3-13) had plenty of space to play and the older kids were able to find a quiet space to take a break when needed. The views are breathtaking, especially at daybreak and sunset. The oldest child was a little disappointed that we weren't right on the ocean, but that quickly changed when he realized how much more fun he could have in the bay than the ocean. The only downside was the size of the eating area in the kitchen. It's tight for 12 to be in there at once, but our youngest children finished their food quick, so we sat down when they got up (16 people all beginning a meal at the same time is not an easy thing to do any way). This home has everything as described and we would recommend it to anyone who asks. There are so many beautiful, creative touches in this house.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. Our family gathered from across the country and the house was a great place to reconnect. The deck overlooking the sound was a wonderful gathering spot and we enjoyed the water sports options in the sound as well. We will be back!

The house was awesome- large enough to accommodate all our family with room to spare. Loved the feeling of being in a home not just a rental- plenty of activities for all to enjoy. The weather was wonderful and enjoyed the beach. Would highly recommend this location- all arrangements were easy and very helpful to set up!

This is our 6th year returning to Sounds Perfect each May. The home was completing remodeled our first year and the owners have updated it every year since with amenities & water toys. Fishing is great in the spring too. We can't wait to return next year! So much to do yet we end up just hanging out at the end of the pier each evening!

We had our family of 5 joined by my aunt, grandmother (99 years old), mother, brother, and nephew. We all enjoyed the great layout and the kids loved the ground floor and bunk room. The kitchen is well equipped and laid out well for lots of people. We never felt like we were tripping over people or crowded. Had the weather been a bit more seasonable, we would have been able to enjoy more of the amenities offered for outdoor use. This house is really equipped well for water fun! 2 canoes, 4 paddle boards, at least 4 kayaks, crab traps, a longboard and a great dock. As it weather was a little disagreeable, we played yard games, walked/ran on the adjacent waterfront trail, and enjoyed the indoor games. The house has a great layout, but is starting to show its age in a few minor areas, nothing major though. The environment is harsh on the outer banks and can be a real challenge. The decks are great, and well furnished. The owner, Amy, was great and very responsive to any questions. Being a bike enthusiast, I noticed some of the bikes provided could use a little TLC. Some were not really ready for riding and would have needed work before taking out. We talked immediately of returning in August, but it looks booked, so we will have to plan for 2019!

This beautiful property was beyond our expectations! Our group of 13 came from Virginia, Georgia, and North Carolina. We are an active bunch and have the owners ever provided the fun amenities! The weather was a bit chilly to Paddle Board but we made good use of one of the canoes, the bikes, the outdoor games, the crab traps(although we didn't catch any) and the fire pit by the sound. The well equipped kitchen was great for preparing all our meals. We especially enjoyed the spacious, unique kitchen table the owners had personalized! This home has lots of space to spread out and get comfortable. The owner Amy was great to work with and easily reached if we had questions. My family all want to come back again to "Sounds Perfect"!
