The elevator was a definite plus for our age group:) The large porch and rocking chairs got a lot of use but would have liked an outdoor table and chairs to enjoy eating outside. It even got cooler and we used the fireplace 2 nights!! The large living area was perfect and the Kitchen was the best stocked with dishes, glasses and flatware of any home we have rented. The lower kitchen came in handy for those on that level. We also enjoyed the gazebo and sat on the beach with the provided chairs. The location was close to shopping and easy to get on the mainland and to Charleston. The staff at East Island Rentals were extremely helpful and accommodated all our extra requests. We would definitely recommend Sand Pit especially if you have a large group of different families.

I grew up on IOP so my Mom & I tell the family many stories of the island from the 1950s & 60s. This beach vacation house being only a few blocks away from our old home. Old memories are great but we are also now making many new memories to cherish! This house is wonderfully decorated and a comfortable home with a beautiful view of the beach! It is always clean with a great backyard for the grandkids to play games. I highly recommend the Sand Pit for your next beach visit! We’ll be back again next year as well!

Great home with all the amenities that you could want/need. The rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. Loved having drinks at the gazebo. Two big refrigerators is key with such a large group. Check-in is really annoying though. You have to go to the rental office (and DON'T go before 4), wait on someone to give you the key and then make your way to the house. It's almost 5 when you begin to get situated. Am curious as to why there isn't a keypad, remote entry. Despite that, the home is lovely.

Everything you could want with young children was included in this house . Kitchen equipped with everything you could need for meals. Very spacious living space. Beautiful view of the ocean from the porch. Will return often.

There are 5 couples (one time 6). Each bedroom is great. We wish you could get the pinball machine properly fixed. It has only worked one time. You should also make sure the printer works (it doesn't - no ink). But, all being said, it is a great place.

Reviewer Comments: 3000 Palm is an outstanding venue - our family has rented breach-front homes in IOP for many years and this home is the best we have ever rented - no pool (as advertised - not needed at Thanksgiving) but rest of features first in class - all 6 bedrooms with separate bathrooms, huge gathering area consisting of a well appointed living room (with lots of puzzles!) with a very nicely positioned fireplace + a 10 place dining table with extra chairs to seat 12 easily + an amazing kitchen with an inventory of dishes, cooking utensils, pots, pans and “spices” that would please a professional chef - screened porches with lots of rocking chairs & TWO Pawley’s Island hammocks - great downstairs (noisy) “playroom” with a pinball machine that drove some of the old folks crazy but was enjoyed by the grandkids of all ages - amazing board walk to beach with a lawn made for holiday flag football games - even had long range binoculars and a telescope on tripods - wait a minute, surely there was something to “complain” about: no ping pong table (had to dig hard to find something to comment on that was missing - Note: was not advertised as having one). If you want a worry free home without a pool, this is it, just ask how to turn off the sound on the pinball machine.

We stayed in this house for our daughter's wedding. What is not shown on the pictures is the fabulous double garage with remote door openers. We were able to park 5 cars and put all of the flowers, wedding decor, a golf cart, and other tables, etc and then close the doors! The elevator was a life saver and had my mother been able to come, the handicapped room would have been perfect for her. The front porch was a delight for morning coffee. After the wedding, the bride and groom stopped by the house to take pictures on the gazebo and beach. Two kitchens proved to be so helpful, especially for the parents of the baby. The house came fully equipped with everything we could imagine. The walk-in pantry and sizable laundry room gave extra room to store all we needed for this weekend. We want to come back and just relax. In fact, we left our beach chairs, so we will have to come back!!! Thank you to the owners who did a terrific job with this beautiful home!!

What an incredible home…especially for a large family! We felt so comfortable and enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful beach house! The kitchen is awesome and is so well stocked. Each bedroom having it’s own bathroom is a game changer and the extra living/kitchen space is an added bonus! The location is perfect and the gazebo and the walkway to the beach are great! The generous amount of towels provided was a nice surprise and the laundry room is wonderful! Having our family all together in a home we all enjoyed made for a really special vacation!

The walkway to the beach (where we spent every day) and gazebo with shower to rinse off made it easy for beach access. Having a full private shower and area to change in the garage area was great. The screened porches on both levels were a lovely place to sit and enjoy coffee or a drink, the view and the wonderful breeze. The layout is wonderful with living spaces on both levels as well. We had someone who is in a wheelchair and the master bathroom is TRULY accessible with a roll in shower and of course the elevator is a must. The kitchen was very well stocked which was really nice. The only negatives I will mention is that I felt the house could have been wiped down better given we are in a COVID environment. There was visible finger prints/dirt by the knobs on the kitchen/bath cabinets which i ended up wiping down. The cleaners were just finishing when we arrived at the house at 4:30pm. (checkin is supposed to start at 4pm). Also, when we arrived to pick up the keys they informed us that the AC on the living level was not working and they had called a contractor, acting a bit non-chalant about it. That was very disconcerting and it was quite warm for the first several hours of our stay, but fortunately someone arrived and fixed it that day. We had a wonderful week at 3000 Palm and would definitely return again. It was very convenient to stores and restaurant as well.
