A lovely cottage! The bed, linens, towels all were of excellent quality. The kitchen well stocked for light cooking. Small details such as seat cushions for the deck bench and chairs/umbrella all were appreciated. The small deck was mostly shaded during this time of year which was so nice for sitting outside at various times of the day enjoying the peaceful marina. Hugh responded very quickly (and with humor!) when needed! A wonderful experience!

From the moment I stepped onto the property, I was greeted by a stunning view of the harbor and the charming coastal atmosphere that enveloped the area. outdoor spaces that truly stole the show. The location of the property overlooking the harbor was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the serene surroundings. You can spend countless hours watching the boats go by and marveling at the beauty of the sunset painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. The location couldn't have been better for exploring all that Bald Head Island has to offer. One of the highlights of my stay was the sense of peace and tranquility that permeated the air. It was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, allowing me to truly unwind and recharge. I can't recommend Carolina Moonshine @ BHI highly enough. It's the perfect destination for anyone seeking a coastal retreat with unparalleled views and endless opportunities for adventure. Many thanks to the hosts for providing such a wonderful experience!

We loved this gorgeous home! My husband and I drove our boat and rented a slip- since this home is right on the marina- we could keep an eye on our boat from the house. Great location, golf cart a huge plus. Property owner was helpful and easy to work with. 10/10, great stay!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway. The location is very convienent to the ferry and local shops/restaurants. The golf cart could use some maintenance, especially on the brakes but it was functional for what we needed. Overall, a nice relaxing weekend - we would recommend.

My husband and I were in town over NYE's weekend for a dear friend's wedding. This location right at the Marina was perfect! It's so close to the ferry that you don't have to worry about a tram service - it's just a quick little walk. We also had dinner at Jules the first night, and that was also within walking distance. The golf cart that's included with the rental came in handy the rest of the weekend, getting to and from all of the wedding festivities. In addition to the location being perfect, the bed, pillows, and linens were so comfy we found it hard to get out of bed! It exceeded expectations on all levels - including our gracious host.

Our stay was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We walked in with wide eyes and smiles as the unit is beautiful! Exactly what we needed, comfy bed, kitchenette was perfect, excellent fridge, great little deck to sit outdoors for morning coffee and breakfast, afternoon glasses of wine, while watching boats come and go. Place was spotless, including the bathroom. Plenty of towels, including beach towels. Beach chairs were a plus, golf cart gets you wherever you want to go. However, location-location-location, situated on the marina, you can walk to restaurants, beaches, and the lighthouse is not far for a nice, long stroll. ( or the golf cart gets you there in minutes). Met the owner, who is a pleasure. Great communication from booking to our stay. Loved our too-short visit. It was relaxing, weather was good to us, days on the beach, nights on the marina. 5+ stars for our little getaway!

Wonderful location with excellent views and ambiance

The Carolina Moonshine cottage is ideally situated in the BHI Marina with seemingly a purpose-built location for sunsets! It is smartly furnished with ocean/sea-side decor and the Owner is extremely accessible and accommodating. One at-large issue will unfortunately exist for any and all guests here, however: having to leave it!!!

I do not have enough words to describe my stay. The owner was so quick to respond and super understanding. I will be coming back here again for sure! Thank you so much!

Truly we couldn’t have asked for more! The harbor view, the central location, the amenities included with the stay, and the wonderful host - you couldn’t pick a better place to stay if you tried! We will absolutely be back!

Great spot fir a weekend getaway.

This was a great property for a couples get away. Property owner was very responsive and check in and out was super easy. Having an available golf cart for our use was a big plus.

Beautiful “tiny house” just perfect for two. Nicely decorated and outfitted. Very convenient to the marina area and a short golf cart ride to nice restaurants, beaches and golf. Wonderful host.

My wife and I booked this last minute trip to BHI. Location of cottage was great!! We live overlooking the marina and walking dist ace to coffee shop, restaurants, bike rentals, etc.

This location and the convenience cannot be beat, great few days at Bald Head. We will be back!
