Let’s face it, if you’re looking at this spot you only care about the location. The house served our needs but more importantly what made this ideal was the beach access and having a spot to veg out in our own space. The house provided all the amenities we needed (towels, fridge, dishwasher, range, very comfortable beds, etc) and close proximity to great restaurants and grocery stores. The screened in porch was great for unwinding at night. Stop scrolling and reserve this house.

Our group of college girlfriends (now 70 years old!) loved this house and the beach. It was comfortable and well equipped and had plenty of room for all of us. It is not a new house but very comfortable - and the beach is right out the screened porch! So easy. Our host Maurita was great - she met us and answered any questions or problems that we had. We recommend this house for a laid back visit - perfect for families and old friends.

Where to start. This ended up being the most amazing location I could have asked for. I booked this beach house for my kiddos spring break. I wasn’t 100% sure on the location but wanted something in a more quiet area. I’m typically not a fan of the overcrowded beach scene. I can’t say enough about the wonderful location. The beach is incredibly close. It is basically in your back yard. This is an older home as stated in previous reviews. This was not an issue for us. It was extremely cozy for our family. We all felt right at home the moment we walked in. The rooms are decorated perfectly. My kids and I loved looking at all the shells they have out for decor. The screened in porch was great for meals. The upstairs balcony porch was even better. Opening the sliding door to the bedroom upstairs and hearing/seeing the ocean was so relaxing. The outdoor shower area was perfectly located to the side of the house for easy beach cleanup. The neighborhood was very quiet and extremely nice. We saw a few passerbys exercising on the beach but overall we had the beach to ourselves. My kids and I found tons of shark teeth. They were very excited about that. The kitchen is loaded with just about all you need to cook meals. There was also a keurig which we appreciated. There are grocery stores and restaurants close by. We absolutely will be staying again. My kids and I hardly wanted to leave. Thank you Marita for being such a wonderful accommodating host. You made the experience even better!

GREAT LOCATION!!! There's nothing better than opening the back door and seeing the ocean. We enjoyed our time at Marita's Ponte Vedre Beach home. We don't like big crowds but we wanted to go to the beach for Spring Break. It's like we had our own private beach. All the other beach goers have to use a public entrance to the beach and since the only way for us to get to the ocean was through our private backyard, we had the place to ourselves. Marita was very attentive during the booking process and upon our arrival. She graciously made adjustments to our schedule to accomodate a last minute change. I read all the reviews before booking. They were accurate and gave me a clear picture of what I was getting. Yes, it's an older home but it is very cozy. The sofas are super comfy and great for napping. We took 2 day trips to St Augustine while we were there. Our family has been going to O'Steen's restaurant for 40 years. Best fried shrimp in the country. Homemade side casseroles and homemade pies. I was able to run off the extra calories on the beach. We got good weather for 2 of the days we were there and we made the most of it. The other "indoor" days were perfect since the NCAA D1 National Wrestling Championships was on (all our kids wrestle), we were able to watch the whole tournament. There's no better location than this home. All the benefits of the beach and a great upscale neighborhood without the crowds. I highly recommend this home. Marita, thanks for the hospitality.

Great stay

We would return again and again. Marita is a wonderful property manager and was available whenever we needed her. The house is so comfortable and RIGHT on the ocean. It's fully equipped and the balcony/screened porch is the icing on a magical place!

The folks managing the property were extremely helpful and friendly. I said I liked coffee and that I had a Keurig machine that I really liked. When we arrived they had bought one and a large tray of K-Cups! They thought that is a good idea well just get one!

We had such a wonderful time staying on this property. The neighborhood was beautiful and the access to the beach was right there! It was like they took a New England beach house and placed it in Florida. The weather and water were perfect and we basically had the whole beach to ourselves!

Everyone in our group was simply astounded with the location and the house itself. Marita went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect for us!! I would give the overall experience 11 stars but they only allow 5!!! :D Thank you, Marita, again for all of the little details that helped to make our family vacation one we wil never forget!

We have rented in Ponte Vedra every year for our annual family trip. This was our first time renting this house, and the renters went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! We had a welcome card, fresh roses, wine, waters and soda cold in the fridge, and it was very clean with plenty of room to enjoy each other. The location was perfect, with our own private walkway straight to the beach in our backyard. We will definitely rent this house again. 5 stars!

We were a group of friends looking for relaxation and beauty. Rental offered a gorgeous view of ocean on the top deck where we spent every morning and evening. Any problems with unit were addressed instantly. Marita is great to work with!

Location: You are RIGHT ON THE OCEAN. You cannot get a closer waterfront property. Driveway parking for 2 cars. House is located about 5 minutes from Jacksonville Beach and 50 minutes from historic/downtown St. Augustine. Property: Yes, this is an older home but it is FANTASTIC. The pictures do not do it justice. We all said, "WOW!" when we walked in. It is pleasantly decorated, clean, well-stocked with towels and linens. Spacious. The master bedroom is on the main with another small single bedroom off the house by the garage. The rest of the bedrooms are upstairs. We had 7 and were all very comfortable. Bathrooms; Yes, they are old. My kids had never seen an old bathtub before, but THEY ARE CLEAN, and the water pressure is PHENOMENAL!!!! If you are disabled, it is important to note that all of the bathrooms have tub/shower combos and require you to step over a bathtub side. There ARE rails in the master bathroom. Nice touch: a box of soap provided in each bathroom. Kitchen: Everything you need. I thought it was a nice touch that Marita provides a few beverages in the fridge upon your arrival. Kitchen is pretty large. Dining room table is HUGE. Very nice for meals and for game nights. Everyone fits. TV/WIFI/STREAMING: There is a TV in the living room and one in the upstairs bedroom. There are not TVs in the other bedrooms. We LIKE and APPRECIATE this, but not everyone does. Wifi was easy to connect to. Streaming was available - just bring your account number or an Apple Box/Fire Stick. LAUNDRY: Massive washing machine and dryer. And again, nice little added touch of providing laundry baskets. It's little things that make certain properties stand out from the others. CHECK-IN: Our only hiccup. I didn't receive the check-in packet from VRBO so there was a small delay getting checked in. I do not think this was a property fault but a VRBO glitch. CHECK-OUT: They do ask that you wash all towels and all linens before you check-out. Also, put all dishes in the dishwasher and start a cycle before you leave. CONVENIENCE: This home is as convenient to everything as you could possibly get. It is in an area where you can easily order in or go out to a multitude of restaurants. MOST EXCITING PART: Finding shark teeth on the beach and a dead shark washed up on the shore overnight. Very exciting for the kids. Ha! OVERALL: We loved the property. Book it. You will be glad you did.

Older house with an amazing view. The house was nicely furnished but the beds are on the small size. We really enjoyed our stay with extended family and the house easily accommodated our group with 7 adults and 3 small children.
