Great piece of property right on the lake, cabin feel with comfortable beds and bathrooms, everything was stocked especially the kitchen, pack your bag with clothes, nothing else is needed, except you food.

It is always a gamble this time of year whether it'll be rain or shine. God decided rain this year. This made us stay inside most of the time. The main cabin had plenty of room for us 11. It was clean and quiet. The bunkhouse had spiders and we couldn't get the electric to work, so we stayed in the main cabin. The beds were soft but clean, although I would prefer an air matress next time as my back doesnt like soft. The remodeled areas were beautiful. A lot of wood for a lot of people with children and men to remember to care for. Seems a risky choice in a rental property. The pizza grill, ice machine, and smoker were closed for the season but we were able to use the BBQ and the oven inside. Town was but a short drive. The main showerheads held no water pressure making it difficult to rinse long hair. The washing machine didn't wash the Spartan mud away but probably works well for normal clothing. Curious what the ceiling tiles are made of. The TV is not new enough for streaming, with or without an HDMI cable or cast app. The blueray player is only new enough for regular Amazon prime, no added channels. It does not support Hulu or Netflix. I would recommend a newer TV or blue ray player as the internet worked well. Normally we would've been outside and not worried about the TV but again, weather did not permit that this time. Overall 4 out of 5. I would come back now that I know what to expect and I would plan a little better. Thank you for having us.

Our family had a great reunion here and absolutely loved the cabin! It felt like we could relax, be comfortable and make ourselves right at home. The view is incredible and we enjoyed using the canoe and launching our own kayaks from the rock beach. Thank you for a wonderful week of memories!

The weather was unseasonably cool and wet, but we had a very pleasant stay nonetheless. This family cabin has charm and the location is just fabulous.

Nice place large enough for our family, and it had everything we needed. We specifically wanted a place with a boat dock, so that was great. Conveniently close to town and the scenery was beautiful. We definitely hope to come back again.

Extended family came together to honor a deceased loved one and the cabin provided an excellent place to gather. The cabin is clean and very comfortable and allowed seven adults and a child to spend time together with ease. The newly renovated bathrooms in the main cabin are beautiful! We also enjoyed the beach area and the deck immensely. I would very much like to come back again next season. :-)

Great spot for our family vacation. The property offered many different sleeping areas which were perfect for our family of grandparents, kids, and grandchildren. Awesome beach area great for bonfires, rock throwing, and watching sunsets. Despite what the listing states it does have internet which was a bonus for those of us working from “home”. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy this cabin next year!

This was our second time staying at the Rognlien Family cabin. We really appreciate the gorgeous location RIGHT ON Flathead Lake and a ways OFF the highway. The house is stocked with all you need to cook and relax and enjoy yourselves. The boat house is full of goodies for the water-a bonus to the great property. Our kiddos also loved the new addition of the swings in the back yard this year! The cabin isn’t fancy, but totally comfortable and functional- A great value when comparing vacation properties. We plan to make trips here a family tradition. Thank you for sharing this haven with us.

The view from the deck and closeness to the water is one of the best. Most of the house, and guest house were comfortable. However, the bathrooms were outdated. The bedroom with attached bathroom was pretty bad. The toilet is low, in a corner and the floor is rotted. The shower is a single one and the door opens in. Only a child can use it. The outside is moldy. Until bathroom repairs are made, property cleaned up, railing on the steps fixed etc I wouldn’t return. We enjoyed being outside.

We had a great time in Montana. The location of house is almost perfect. Bigfork is a neat little town and has just about everythingy you would need. Glacier National Park is just 45 mins or so down the road as well. Very comfortable, non-pretensious house. Felt very comfortable there. The lake access is amazing and wonderful. The only issue we had was the smoke from the west coast fires. But of course, not the fault of anyone in Montana. Great time - would recommend.

Location of property is great. It would have been nice if there were pictures of the kitchen and living room on listing. We had a great stay.

Great spot on the lake. Beautiful scenery all around, lots of wildlife as well, foxes, deer, birds and even a bear up near the main road. House is nice and big enough for a large group like ours of 11 people over night and daytime visitors.

A cozy private house on the lake. Kitchen has all the amenities. We would definitely love to stay again!

This is the perfect cabin for a truly relaxed vacation on beautiful Flathead Lake. Cabin has EVERYTHING one could possibly need to enjoy their time in this fantastic place! Lake views are amazing! Cabin is spacious and clean and only minutes from Bigfork. This is truly someone's home and should be appreciated that way. Only complaint is a little confusion about WiFi and TV in the description of the property. There is great WiFi but no TV reception to go with the TV, only a DVD player. Looking forward to returning!

There was WiFi after all. The photos don't do it justice. The deck and lake view are spectacular! Perfect place to unwind and entertain.

If you like staying in a rustic, old fashioned cabin at the lake, this it it! We had a wonderful time celebrating our 35th Anniversary with all our grown kids. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels for everyone. Plenty of room relaxing indoors on the leather couches, nice patio area, or amazing sunsets by the dock and fire pit. The only downfall is the bunkhouse: no heat and is only big enough for children.

Came for a girls weekend away. This place was perfect. We spent a lot of time on the dock and back deck. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. Very comfortable. Would stay again!

When I was a kid this lake was populated by simple, basic little cabins (the better ones had indoor plumbing) - and it was heaven. Since then Flathead has filled up with giant houses and lawns. To me, this cabin is a perfect lake experience - laid back, unfussy and comfy, with everything you need. (The kitchen is great.) The cabin is rustic, but solid and functional. It sits discreetly in the natural environment, which I love because I don't see the point of spending time in some high maintenance property that looks like it was moved in from the suburbs. I'm trying to get away from the suburbs! You feel close to nature here, and birds and squirrels and deer love to visit. If you are looking for a place where you can get back to basics and enjoy nature, then this is for you. The Lutheran campers can get pretty noisy, but it's hard to be mad at them because they're happy noises, and it's fun to watch them jumping off the diving platform. This is one of the first places I've stayed where there wasn't a giant manual of do's and don't's, and I appreciated it! Everything was easy to figure out. All in all a lovely place. The views are incredible. The lake is glorious. Many thanks to the Rognlien family for sharing!

Very comfortable home for a family get-away. Lots of room inside, well stocked kitchen, great access to the water, fire pit and huge deck with lots of seating. We had a great time.

The grounds are over grown and unkempt all though there are new out door furniture the old is still there making the place look trashy.The place needs to be scraped and painted on the outside and the electricity in the bathroom in the guest house doesn't work as well as several outlets in the main house.Carpet stains, tore screen doors and apparent damage from an animal being left in a bathroom.If you are like me these things will make you uncomfortable and the urge to spend the weekend trimming trees, scraping, painting,fixing the damaged ceilings, shampooing carpets ect. The Bible camp next door is in full swing and the 10 pm sing along is more of a shout along. The things I DID appreciate, The kitchen is stocked with a great selection of pots and pans to feed a large group. (There were 7 of us) The dock would be wonderful (if you can handle little kids squealing). The fire pit is wonderful but again the area needs attention. The 3 full sets of patio furniture (crammed on the patio) is over kill in my opinion. Instructions on how to run the TV would have been handy. The board games were the best part of this property! In the end we were able to spend time with our adult children over a long weekend and that is what we were there to do. This is a lovely area and with a bit of attention I believe it would be a nice place to stay. Best of luck to this family.

Stayed here with a bunch of girlfriends. The cabin was very well supplied with all the amenities and kitchen equipment. There could be some updating with lighting and showers. Enjoyed using the chairs outside on the patio and down by the lake. The extra cabin was a great place for three in the group. We will definitely consider returning again next year. We loved staying on the lake, it was a little chilly and rained most days but still very peaceful. The main house has everything you could need in the kitchen. It is an older place, but it is charming.we very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

We stayed at the cabin for the 2018 Spartan. Communication was a breeze and the home was as described. We had a great time unplugging and enjoying the deck and lake. We are outside because there was plenty of space for everyone. The fire and the lake was amazing. A return trip to the Flathead Valley is in our future.

We really enjoyed our stay at this classic cabin. It is equipped with virtually anything you need in the kitchen and three grills, gas, charcoal, and a cool old brick hand built outdoor grill. The cabin has extensive outside decking with all the seating you need and plenty of chairs down by the lake front. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for all eight of us. We didn't even use the outside bunkhouse. Thanks for a great stay and we'll be back!
