We have been coming to Beachhead since 1995, I wouldn’t even consider going to any other property , even if was cheaper. The location is the best, probably around 200 yards and you’re standing in the Gulf of Mexico. The other big plus is the giant swimming pool. The Condos are clean and sleep 6

Well, it was not fun entering our condo and noticing water coming from the ceiling on one of the restroom floors and having maintenance in our room and having to wait/slowdown our plans because of this. So we didn’t use the restroom with the twin beds because of the water coming out for the ceiling making everything wet, maintenance was not able to fix the problem during our stay and placed a huge bucket in the small restroom to collect the water. In addition, we weren’t able to open the door fully because it would get stuck on the floor. The other restroom with the queen bed would get stuck on the floor as well but was able to get it open all the way with some force. The tub in that restroom didn’t drain well, so each of us had to wait to use the shower so we didn’t have to stand in dirty water and the parking was a little tight for a truck. On a positive note, it was clean, good size condo for 4 people and it has a great view with a nice boardwalk to the beach. And every issue we had looks fixable but just didn’t expect these issues.

First the good. Beachhead Condos are right on the coast and an easy walk to the beach. Views from this unit's balcony are great. My wife didn't have to wait on us boys so we could meet her down on the beach when we were ready. Great views from everywhere on the property--especially the pool. The unit was a little disappointing. The areas that were updated seemed to be lower quality but ok. Some areas like parts of the master bath may be original from 1969. The shower drips and the shower head is only about 5 feet high so there was a lot of bending to shower. Bathrooms are small and need more storage options. Lots of closets but no dressers in the bedrooms. No TVs in bedrooms either. No beach equipment or beach towels provided. Pre-check in communications said no bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, or hair dryer is provided (What?). After finding a way to bring that stuff, it was provided (except the hair dryer). Bathroom door handle and door were coming off. Made maintenance request and it was fixed in hours. No digital lock so you have to pick up, drop off, and carry a physical key with you all the time. The parking spot for this unit only fits one car and is tight due to bulkheads from upgrades to other units. Love Beachhead but probably won't return to this specific unit.

Decent place to stay. Right on the beach. Wish you didn’t have to pick up the keys at a separate place. Maybe change to keypad entry? A few bugs but that’s expected near the water. Beds weren’t the most comfy but overall the stay was satisfactory. We would stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - we had one of the condos facing the water. Loved sitting on the deck day or night watching or hearing the ocean. Kitchen was reasonably well stocked with pots and pans. Comfortable bed.

We really enjoyed our time at Serene Seashell 508BH. The decorating is pleasant and cute. Wish the bathrooms were updated a little more, but honestly I'm there for the beach and the view. My children loved the heated pool.

This was our first time in 508BH, but it was lovely. Amazing views of the dunes and the beach and very comfortable beds. The grounds are well-kept and the pool is gorgeous. Highly recommend.

Our condo was very clean on the inside and just a short walk from the beach. Our only issue was the flooding of the parking area which was not pumped out, so it sat and remained stagnant for days after the rain. It ruined shoes, smelled terrible and there was no way to get in or out of our condo without walking through it. It could have easily been pumped out. If there has not been any recent rain in the area I would recommend staying here.

Great location
Our condo was very clean on the inside and just a short walk from the beach. Our only issue was the flooding of the parking area which was not pumped out, so it sat and remained stagnant for days after the rain. This was our fourth stay at Beachhead Condos though Port A Escapes, but the first stay at Serene Seashell 508BH. The service through Port A Escapes was terrific as expected; we received timely updates and instructions, and the app made everything simple. The location of Beachhead Condos in general is tough to beat. Serene Seashell has what has to be one of the very best gulf views in all of Port Aransas. We could see the sunrise, the condos' boardwalk, and nothing but water on about 150 degrees of the horizon. The kitchen is well-appointed, including a giant stock pot with strainer insert for a big seafood boil. The carpeted areas feel like they have memory foam pads. Super comfy. There is a playground for the kids (wear shoes, because there are also stickers!); the pool is heated and has a full swim day of 7 AM until midnight; there is a pool house with foosball, table tennis, air hockey, and a television; and there are plenty of picnic tables strewn across the property, as well as groups of tables in the pool area. My extended family enjoyed the common areas while retreating to our individual condos for quiet time (and, at present, to avoid potential COVID transmission).

The size of the unit was great. Location on Port A was great. Negatives: Both bathrooms need to be updated. Also the door locks would not lock; management company called a locksmith. The unit we stayed in was really nice, clean, and a great view. My only complaint is the Wifi. I made sure to find a place that had a view and wifi. I did not plan to work when I was there but it happens. It was really frustrating and I had to go outside, away from the unit in order to work.
The twin beds are kinda short or my kids are just long! Would I stay again, yes! I'll just make sure work doesn't interfere!!

Absolutely perfect for our family of four. Loved the fact that we were in the unit closest to the ocean, and on the top floor, so sitting on the balcony in the mornings and evenings were wonderful. Easy access to the beach, and it seemed to be not as crowded as other stretches of the beach. The room itself had clearly been updated, and was very clean. Only bad part was leaving!
