We celebrated Thanksgiving at this beautiful home in Breckenridge. Beautiful area and view. Home was perfect for our family… spacious kitchen, wonderful gathering areas and a number of bedrooms spaced perfectly for our family.

The house, the host, the location...all were perfect for our annual Thanksgiving family friend ski trip. The layout of the home is perfect for multiple families and multiple age groups.

Our stay at this Breckenridge property was perfect. The space, location, amenities, everything was above and beyond. Thanks Steve!

We had 14 people for a family reunion and this house worked extremely well for our gathering. We particularly liked the fact we could all spread out when we were not together and that the house had a nice central location next to the village of Breckenridge and the trail network. Host was very accommodating and communicative. This is a very quiet neighborhood and the house has a lot of space around it.

The house was beautiful, well stocked and well maintained. Steve met us on our arrival and gave us a tour. You do need to adjust the windows and blinds or the bedrooms will get hot. We had no issues or complaints. We went horseback riding, swimming, ice skating, hiking and shopping. You will need a hat and lots of sunscreen.

Steve’s home is amazing! So much space to spread out and suited all of our needs. Close and very easy to get to the mountain every morning for skiing. We will definitely stay here again!

Steve has a special place in Breck. We've been coming as a group for our annual ski trip since 2017, and this was by far the best property we've rented. There was plenty of space for our group to spread out. Everything was very clean - kitchen well stocked and great for cooking. Steve was incredibly kind and communicative during the whole stay. We would absolutely stay here again and I highly recommend this property!

The property was exactly what we wanted - impressive and no surprises.

This property works perfect for a family gathering. Two main living areas, large kitchen, - well stocked, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. I can't say anything negative about this property. If you have an extended family gathering, this is the place for you. Owner was very easy to communicate with and responsive to questions. Can't go wrong with this property.

This home far exceeded our expectations for our annual family vacation. (7 adults) Pulling into the driveway the home was impressive. The rooms and furnishings were warm and inviting. The kitchen was well appointed and we had everything we needed by way of utensils/equipment. There was adequate privacy as needed but great spaces for all of us to be together. The living room fireplace and view were special. Also, the area where the Highlands is located is flat out beautiful with picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. Also the location of the home was in easy driving distance to shops and restaurants. The owner of this property Steve was easy to contact and super responsive to our inquiries. BOTTOM LINE…. great house, great location, great vacation! We would definitely choose “The Highlands” for our stays in the future.

Awesome home with plenty of room for our 5 couples. Wonderful kitchen setup for cooking with plenty of counter space. Would rent the home again!!!

Had a great time in Breckenridge. House was amazing with plenty of space for everyone, incredible mountain views and located in a beautiful neighborhood. House is fully stocked so no need to bring anything but food. Great golf course in the neighborhood so my only regret is I did not bring my clubs. Lots to do in the area... Fly Fishing, Rafting and of course the quaint town of Breckenridge. We had dinner at 5th Ave Grill in Frisco and would highly recommend that as well.

Fantastic. Steve was great and answered all our questions. House was well equipped and had everything we needed for our group of 12. All our guests had a wonderful time. Bedrooms were lovely. Kitchen was a dream to cook in and ample dishes for 12 guests. Beautiful setting and easy to get to town. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Steve

Had a great family vacation for my 50th birthday. House was perfect for the 12 of us. Great location on a mountain with wildlife (moose). It is a little worn & dated but that didn’t bother us. Host was responsive with communication and left us alone to enjoy our stay. Highly recommended.

House? More like a castle. Everything in the description was spot on. If you are a cook, the kitchen setup took a little time to get used too but it was fully stocked to include spices, flour, sugar….. Steve greeted us when we arrived and explained the setup in detail. Great host. If the property were only on free shuttle route. Driving back and forth was tough with all the traffic. Would definitely recommend and rent again.

Great location for hitting all the ski resorts, especially Breckenridge and Keystone. Radiant heating made the below zero temperature outside unnoticeable. Enough private bedrooms for four couples and two singles. Recommend!

Nice Property

Highlands Retreat was just as pictured. More than enough room for our group of 10. Bedrooms are spacious and baths very nice. The kitchen was well stocked (although one has to search for items as it is not well organized) but that is to be expected with a vacation rental. We were able to find everything we needed. Steve is a wonderful host - quick to respond to questions. Although we had no problems while there I am sure he would have been quick to respond. A big shout out to Steve for accommodating part of our party after their flight schedule went haywire. Steve went above and beyond the call of duty. Really appreciated his thoughtfulness. The only thing I would complain about was the dishwasher which seemed to lack cleaning power. I left a note for Steve about it so I imagine it is probably taken care of. The property is in a lovely location with spectacular views. It is not within walking distance of Breckenridge so one has to either drive or catch a shuttle. In fact, I would highly recommend becoming very familiar with the various shuttles to make your commute into town a thousand times easier. we had a great experience and I would definitely recommend Highlands Retreat. One last thing, there are lots of hiking trails within easy walking distance from the house. Thanks Steve for all your kindness.

We had 4 couples and 6 teenage kids. The layout of the rooms was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone to gather as well as plenty of privacy. Steve was a pleasure to work with as well. Every year with this group of friends we get a large house in the mountains for skiing and one on the beach. We’ve done this for years so we have stayed at a lot of large vrbo homes. We all agreed this was absolutely one of the best! We would highly recommend staying here.

Our family stayed for a week and it felt like a hallmark movie with the beautiful mountains and lights on trees everywhere. Breckinridge is a beautiful place. We enjoyed skiing and just hanging out together. The house was perfect!

My family and friends were so please with the home and the location.. We will definitely book this home again once we return to Colorado..

We are lucky to be able to rent this property for our family Thanksgiving trip so I hate to complain but as a business owner I want to share this with the owner/host of this property. This location has room for 14 or more to sleep so figure: 1 garage spot when you have a 3 car garage is not enough. 1 oven is not enough For $40 you can get a new toaster For the same $40 you can either sharpen the knives or buy new ones. We "crushed" a lime trying to cut it. For $100, you can get some towels considering the home Water pressure in the showers was horrible You had a broken window and left a sticky saying sorry for not fixing in time. Fix it! The Hot Tub did not get to 100° The pillows were horrible as were the pillow cases and sheets. Very rough. We had one mixing bowl and really the kitchen utensils need sprucing up as well. The TV in the downstairs was great but seating for only 5 whereas the TV in the main room by the fireplace is small and did not get the same access as the one downstairs. Speaking of fireplaces, there was one in the room my wife and I stayed in but we were directed by a note NOT to use it. That said, as I look at the pictures we took we had a great time in a place that easily accommodated our 11 people, 17 for Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you for allowing us to share this review with you. A little "love" will go a long way for the next guests.

Beautiful and large home to stay in for a family of 10…and there were still multiple beds open and available for more people to sleep in! 10 minutes from Main Street. Friendly host

This is an absolutely beautiful home, just a few minutes from downtown Breckenridge. Everything you could possibly need is there, and Steve is so friendly, welcoming and easy to work with. Everyone in our party, couples and singles, appreciated having their own bedroom and bath. I can't think of anything I would have asked for, this was a luxe retreat. We even had several visits from a moose! Will definitely stay here again the next time we need a mountain getaway.
