Home was lovely. Not far from beach or shopping. Kathleen is the best.

If you’re looking for a 3 bed 2 bath in Hatteras this place is great. Very nice neighborhood, outdoor equipment included, canal front and spacious common areas were my favorite aspects. The house was super clean and the kitchen has everything you need. And the host was great with communication, even sending weather alerts ahead of our trip. 10/10.

Really enjoyed the house. Great view and quiet neighborhood. Super clean. The house had brand new appliances. Would definitely stay here again.

I only gave 4 stars for accuracy of online listing because the house was nicer than we expected based on some of the photographs. I think the listing doesn’t totally do it justice. The house was very clean, and well maintained.

Great location, beautiful house, nice owner who is very easy to communicate

Just like it was the first time we stayed there in 1998

This property is located on a quiet and charming residential area, with direct access to the Sound. We made use of the kayaks and enjoyed some paddling at sunset and sunrise. The kitchen has everything we needed as we cooked all our meals. Well-stocked supermarkets are only 15 or 20 minutes away and very reasonably priced. The only downside is that the closest beaches are several miles away and a car is necessary to get there. Finally, the owner is incredibly friendly and shows genuine interest in her guests enjoying their stay, as if we were family or friends!

Exactly what we wanted! The house was set up perfectly. Plenty of room. Great location. Comfortable and great views.

We had a great and relaxing time here. We kayaked, rode bikes and enjoyed visiting lighthouses in the area. We also took some nice sunset walks along the beach. This is a great location if you want to enjoy some true peace and quiet. Can't wait to come back !

Loved the house! It is a great place for a quiet get away. Was wishing we had a boat the whole time! Hopefully, next time.

Our family had a wonderful time at Turning Point. There was something for everyone to do. We especially enjoyed the kayaks. The house was large enough to accommodate our extended family, yet cozy enough for us to enjoy each other. Fishing off the dock kept the kids busy. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit the OBX without paying an arm and a leg.

This home was terrific and Katherine was very easy to work with. The house is on stilts so not a good choice for disabled or people with difficulty with many stairs BUT that is true of virtually all Outerbanks homes. This house is well located and very clean and well maintained. It’s in a terrific location with easy access to water and exploring the national seashore and sound. It is a great house for two couples and four kids with plenty of room for all. Neighborhood is very nice for walking as well. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to all the birds and watching all the activity along the canal. We recommend this home as a great spot on Hatteras Special note: we were a bit disappointed that no soap, dishwashing, sponges, laundry detergent or cleaning products were included so be sure to purchase them or bring along. Also, we bought towels rather than rent from Shore Details since bath towels washcloths and hand towels are not included either. Enjoy

My family of 4 had a completely relaxing, chill summer vacation on Hatteras Island. Turning Point was our home base and was exactly what we were looking for. We have two teenagers, and the house was plenty big enough to give them each their own space. It was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed, including a great collection of Outer Banks books. I loved the porches and spent quite a few hours on them reading, and we ate our dinners on the screened porch. We rode bikes in the neighborhood, paddled on the canals, ate ice cream in Buxton. But of course, the beach was the real draw. We just loved the miles and miles of wide sandy beaches and big ocean waves.
