House was great, awesome location...everything you need to cook...we had a great vacation

Very good experience

Property was nice, needs a few upgrades with furniture. Everything was clean and had anything you could possibly need for cooking. Pool area was very nice. Having beach chairs were a plus also. Overall, it was a great place and we would definitely stay there again.

Excellent home for large family. Steps to the beach. Great neighborhood. Should have came with a golf cart for this price and it would have been perfect. I hope they add this feature!!!! We love this house and you will too.

Overall, my family enjoyed our vacation at Sterling Stay. There was plenty of room, location was good & the kitchen was equipped with plenty of kitchenware. I would suggest adding extra bath towels & washcloths to avoid doing laundry every other day. A couple of the king size mattresses we thought were hard but I guess that is personal preference. Overall, we had a really good vacation at Sterling Stay.

Great location

We had a good experience with the rental company, Sugar Palm. Very responsive. Ice maker did not work the entire stay. There were no extra bath or kitchen towels. Property is in a nice neighborhood but it was sold with “private beach access.” However that only included one small public access and the beachfront properties had the entire area roped off

Drain in the guest house in the shower was a little slow to drain out. Dryer stopped working towards middle of week.

We loved the location. We were steps away from the beach. It was no need for a golf cart to go to the beach. The private pool was much needed because we had some rainy days but when it wasn’t raining we were able to get at least 3 hours each day in the pool. The house had everything we needed to prepare whatever meal or snack we had in mind.

Excellent location, Just 2-3 minute walk to the beach. Very well maintained house with all the amenities and heated pool that kids loved. Would stay again in future.

Location of the property was outstanding. Just a few steps out the door and to the beach in about 100 yards walking distance. Property was satisfactory - furniture was very cheap. Grill was excessively rusty and was unusable. Closet that housed beach chairs and toys was a total mess - everything was just thrown in to it randomly. Chairs were either too rusty to use or broken. Had to go buy our own beach chairs. Pool was cloudy and dirty at arrival. Other than those things, everything else was satisafactory. Location of property was so good that everything else could be overlooked. Restaurants and entertainment in close proximity made for a vacation full of great memories !

Took the family up to Destin for a quick get away. Property was great. How was exceptionally clean and had everything that anyone would need. 3 minute walk and you're on the beach. Private pool was great and deck area were awesome as well. Only thing is Destin and its beaches are crowded as heck, but that is not a knock on the property itself.

Home is very nice. Location is great with easy access to beach. The house has no soundproofing. 3rd floor viewing allows viewing of back of condos in front of beach. Shrubs are excessively overgrown. There’s an outdoor shower, but you can’t access it because of the jungle.

Everything was wonderful except for the limited space on the beach. The condos set up their umbrellas on the public space and reserved their space as well.

The property management team was great to work with and the house was as described - looking forward to our return in 2021

Sterling Stay was great! Very clean and well maintained and only a very short walk to the beach. We had 3 families (14 people) and each of us had plenty of space. The outdoor space is amazing. We had no issues at all throughout the week, and any communication we did have was quickly responded to and very professional. Very close to amenities. Heated pool was such a treat!

The home was beautiful!

Great location, just blocks from stores and restaurants and an easy walk to the beach. The house was very spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, silverware and cooking dishes. We totally enjoyed the pool and deck area everyday. It was a plus to have all the items we could use for the beach, chairs, toys, ice chest and chart. I do think that larger TV's in the bedrooms would be great since we had a mix of adults and children and not everyone wanted to watch the same shows. I also suggested to the rental agency that it was would be nice if unopened food items could be left for donation to a local shelter instead of throwing it all out when we departed. Otherwise our trip was awesome. Would definitely recommend Destin for its beautiful beaches and clear aqua water. The owners and agency that manage this property were great to work with and always responded promptly.

Thiis property was perfect! Close to the beach, cozy and the pool was perfect!

Sterling Stay was perfect for our family of 11. The home was beautifully appointed and the kitchen was well equipped. The home was less than a half mile from Publix.The pool area was a perfect get away from the crowded public beach access thanks to the restricted private beach access which went woefully under utilized. Follow the owners recommendations to arrive early to set up for the day - we found it necessary to get down to the beach before 6am in order to get a ocean front seat.

This house is awesome. Equipped with everything needed, lots of room, and the pool was a life saver for the littles.

I’ll begin by saying booking was very easy, my questions were answered quickly and the check in and check out information was very clearly written. Sterling Stay was clean, well stocked with every kitchen item one could think of, even an assortment of spices, and very comfortable for our family of 12 (8 adults and 4 children). With two small children and the pool in the back yard it was comforting having an alarm on the doors. Lots and lots of pool and beach toys along with a cart and wagon. We loved the convenience of the location. One block from the beach, less than a mile to a grocery store and an outdoor mall and a short drive to Walmart. We will definitely recommend Sterling Stay to our friends and will book next time we are in Destin.

This is our second trip to Sterling Stay - the first was in 2011 and the memories from that trip were fantastic so we were looking forward to a great adventure. The home is massive and very well kept. The changes to the pool deck since our last visit are amazing and the upgraded gas grill is awesome. We were there when tropical depression Alberto came ashore so we had a couple of days of rain and we were able to make the best of it with the nice home and spent time on the front porch watching the wind and rain (would have been great if part of the structure of the pool deck was covered in order to view things from that beautiful vantage point rather than looking at cars and trashcans in the driveway). We did have a few issues - first the door alarms leading to the pool from the main house and the cabana were both problematic, second the doorbell malfunctioned one morning at 6 a.m. and started ringing constantly, the pool filtration system had trouble keeping the water clear and at one point totally clogged - we had indicated to the management company early in the stay that the water was less than ideal with no action taken, but when we reported the filter had clogged they got the maintenance company out quickly and third all the rooms that face the front of the house which had doors leading outside had mini blinds inside the windows and blocked very little of the sunrise - so it was up and at 'em for everyone in those rooms around 5:30 a.m. - I'd suggest if you want to sleep in, bring a sleepmask. We were a little surprised the interior furnishings were for the most part identical to the way it was 7 years ago (the big screen TV in the family room was a nice upgrade and the cushions on the sofa have been re-covered), but the furnishings are getting a little tired from use and could use a "refresh". All - in - all we had another great visit and would consider Sterling Stay for a return visit - the few issues and the beginnings of a tired interior furnishing trend just keep us from giving a full 5 stars. As an aside - the continuing debate in the Destin area regarding the condos on the beach snobbish attitude of "it's our beach you can't use it" combined with the recent Florida legislation that seems to give them more standing for their views will likely cause us to consider other destinations in the future.

Clean, beautiful home. Pool area & cabana exceptional. Bedroom TV's were very small. Do not choose this place UNLESS you will keep a clean spotless home. We loved it & would like to return sometime in the future. Janet & Chris were great to deal with, always responding to email & phone calls. They are very professional.

I spent a lot of time researching to find the perfect house for our family, and what sold me on this home was the outdoor patio. We had 6 adults, 3 children, and 2 Jack Russells, so I knew that when we were at the house we would spend the majority of our time outdoors. The space had an incredible layout with 3 separate tables to gather around, and lots of railings to hang out our towels to dry. The kids (5, 7, and 9) loved the pool and it kept them entertained while the adults enjoyed playing family games, talking, and preparing food on the grill. As for the house - I brought some extra kitchen items that usually aren't available, or because there were so many of us there's never enough, but this place had EVERYTHING and I never had to unpack my own supplies. There was plenty of space for everyone and the pictures are exactly what the house looked like (i.e. no editing to make it look bigger or hide anything). The beach was just a short walk to the end of the block and they had a wagon and several carts to carry beach chairs, beach toys, umbrellas - all supplied by the owners. The location was perfect - restaurants, shopping, and even a gas station/convenience store/Domino's pizza right there before you leave the subdivision. There really aren't enough words to describe how much we enjoyed our family vacation - we made some memories to last a lifetime. Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to us!!

Love the layout of the house. 3 King bedrooms all with their own bath is great with several families staying. The house is really nice, kept up and clean. The location to beach access is great as its only a few houses away. Would highly recommend Sterling Stay. I only had one question about the house when I was there and it was answered within seconds with a text message. Book process and communication was easy and consistent. We will be back next year! thank you.
