Each summer we rent a house in Tahoe with two other families for two weeks. We have kids who do a day camp in Tahoe together. This is the best house we have rented to date. It was very well situated for three families as there were lots of separate areas to maximize privacy and facilitate different activities happening simultaneously. I have never rented a better-appointed house, especially in these COVID times where you can hardly find salt and pepper in a rental property. The real stand-out though was the host who was so communicative, kind and very generous when we had a bit of a damage snafu and just generally throughout our stay. I hope we get to stay at this property again as I only have wonderful things to say about it.

We had a wonderful time staying in your beautiful home. Everything was so well equipped and thought out. The layout of the house was perfect, and the outside areas were great. We really enjoyed the front porch area. Definitely a great house for large groups! We felt extremely at home in your home! What a wonderful time just relaxing and recharging!!!

Our family really enjoyed staying in this house. Plenty of room and rooms for each of us and the kids loved the bunk room! The location with the walking and biking trails out the front door was awesome and the amenities were great! Richard was really quick to respond with any questions we had. Great Trip! Great House!

It speaks volumes that I should be packing up to go home right now, and instead I am procrastinating and writing VRBO reviews. The fact is, WE DONT WANT TO LEAVE! This house is a wonderful home base for a trip to Tahoe. The location is fantastic - a short drive to Northstar and Squaw, so close to tons of hiking trails, not far from Kings Beach, and just a quick hop from adorable downtown Truckee. It’s in a quiet, cute neighborhood. The house itself is great. Everything is super high quality- nice thick towels, lovely fluffy pillows and comforters, even the throw blanket on the couch makes you want to just snuggle up. The kitchen is well stocked, and we had everything we needed to cook several great meals. The hot tub is, in my opinion, a huge plus, as there is nothing as relaxing as coming from a day of skiing to soak in the hot tub with a glass of wine, surrounded by snow and trees and silence. My only recommendation before renting is: Be sure you understand the layout of the house. The bedroom over the garage is quite separate from the rest of the bedrooms. This worked perfectly for our teenage daughter, who felt like she had her own little apartment, and it would work well for two families if the grownups wanted a little separation. But I’d hesitate to put little kids up there, because they’re a long way from the rest of the house...Like I said, it worked perfectly for us! Overall, we had an amazing trip and cannot wait to come back.

Perfect location in Tahoe-Donner and great lay-out of house for privacy of different couples/families. Nice to have 3 different areas to gather, converse, watch TV and play games. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Richard is very good to work with and super responsive to our requests. The home is very clean and well-equipped. We had 8 people staying here and it works very well, with room for privacy and great gathering spaces. The kids enjoyed it as much as the adults did. The location is perfect for skiing and exploring the charming town of Truckee. We will be back!!

This house has just what you need for a relaxing vacation. Plenty of room for larger groups yet still feels cozy. Well equipped kitchen & laundry a plus. Secluded backyard with hot tub & bbq. Quiet street close to trailhead. Owner very accessible. Use of Tahoe Donner amenities offers something for everyone. Tree in the middle of the driveway was a bit tricky.

This house was fabulous! There were 3 families, and we had plenty of room. We loved the town of Truckee, and spent time on Donner lake, it was pretty warm in the house during the day, but opened the windows at night and cooled off pretty quick. Richard was wonderful to work with and we would book again. My husband and I have a MotorHome and Richard was kind enough to let us park in the driveway while we enjoyed the house with our kids and grands. Thanks again for sharing your house with us!! We have stayed here multiple times. It is a very well appointed home with everything one would need. The only negative is that the mattresses are a bit softer than we are used to and wish that the queen bed in one of the bedrooms was a king bed. Neither of which would prevent us from staying here again. The owners have kept this house up very well and were extremely accommodating. LOVE it!

We had a wonderful stay here. Home is beautiful and large enough for three families to spread out. Loved the kids play room with foosball table and games. Close to many activities including Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe, and downtown Truckee. Trail right behind the house leading to a beautiful overlook. We will definitely be back!

This place has it all. Very nice atmosphere. The hot tubs is great after a day in the slopes.

Found our new favorite rental! Ideal location with added bonus of trailhead right across the street. Hot tub just what you need after a long hike. Layout great for multiple family members. Richard was a pleasure to deal with - very attentive and quick to answer any questions. We'll definitely be back next year.

We were very pleased with this house. The house easily accommodated our group of nine without feeling crowded. The furnishings/decor are lovely and the house is well stocked. The owner, Richard, is great. I highly recommend this house.

When we walked in we were so thrilled with the overall spaciousness of this beautiful home. Top quality appliances and furniture, very well taken care of down to the last detail. The house was well stocked and we did not want for anything since all was supplied and the deck and hot tub were a big hit. There is no doubt we cannot wait to return to this lovely home.

We had a great experience at this home. We had four adults & five kids. The house is big and very nice - the nicest home in Tahoe we've ever stayed in. Kitchen is well stocked and everything is comfortable. The two master bedrooms are nice for two families. I think the home is big enough for 3 families actually . . . there were 3 living areas!

We had multiple familes stay at this amazing home. Perfect in size so that you can have both privacy and family gatherings. Well appointed kitchen (even had a sifter for powdered sugar treats!) and very comfy beds. We ended up having to cut our vacay short because of ominous winter weather reports, but Richard was very helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. Totally took advantage of the hot tub in the snow : )

The location is great as it is about a 7 min drive from downtown and close to the grocery store Safeway. The neighborhood is nice and the cabin was beautiful! Modern furniture and we loved how there were separate living/play areas around the house. Would definitely stay here again!

This house is beautifully decorated and really comfortable for several families to enjoy together. The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you would need! In the summer, the upstairs rooms can get hot, but they are equipped with fans. We loved our stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home! The house exceeded our expectations and we had everything we needed to have the perfect vacation. There was plenty of room to spread out inside the home and the backyard spa made recovery from our outdoor excursions that much easier! This property is truly exceptional. The pictures on Home Away do not do it justice. The furnishing/amenities are also great. The only negative is that the level of cleanliness does not match the quality of the property and furnishings as well as the fee paid for the stay.

Comfortable, functional, spacious home for six adults and two or three children which is conveniently located relative to Truckee and popular local ski areas and Lake Tahoe. This home met our expectations and more. Would consider renting again if I were planning for a group of four to six adults and three or four kids.

Beautiful home for entertaining! Great layout for multi-generational group. We had 8 adults and one baby and there was plenty of space for us to all hang out together as well as apart. Only one bedroom on the ground floor so may not be well suited for some groups. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.
