The house was right on the sound. We were able to sit on the deck every day and watch the world go around. The best was watching the dolphins. I was even able to sit under the covered deck portion when the rain came through. It was a great house, filled with all your needs - good kitchen, good family room, and a good way to decompress. This is our third time staying here, and always enjoyed it.

Had an amazing time here with my wife, toddler, and in-laws. The owner Terrell was very communicative throughout the initial process, and the house was very well set up with lots of great information. Everything from the kitchen to the laundry to the outdoor areas were very thoughtfully put together. Fantastic views in a very nice boating community with great common areas including a pool, gym, and grills. What really set this property apart was the support and service from Terrell; we had several special requests come up to help keep our toddler comfortable and accommodate some specific needs, and he went completely above and beyond to help. This was easily the best experience we've had (and vacations have certainly gotten more challenging with a little one), and we can't wait to come back here regularly.

This was my first visit to the Outerbank area and not only was this waterfront home in a good location, sort of half way if you want to drive down all the way to Hatteras Island, but also close to Nags Head and Kitty Hawk areas - though to me they were way too commercial. Coquina Beach and Pea Island down south were less crowded and had better beaches. But also dealing with the owner Terrel was very smooth. He was very responsive and helpful with any suggestions or questions you may have had. Again beautiful home facing the water in a well secured community! What else do you need???

This was our first time staying in Manteo. We typically stay much more south in Salvo. Pirate's Cove was very convenient to shopping and a cute safe neighborhood for the kids to explore. The deck and picnic table out back were very nice to enjoy dinner outside and the dock over the water was fun to crab and fish off of (even though we didn't catch anything!). The kitchen was well equipped with what we needed to cook our meals each day. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

I cannot say enough good things about this place - the location is great, the beds are comfortable, and the property owner is great to work with. My family stayed here for a week. We really enjoyed the pool & fishing/crabbing on the pier. The house is very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!

We loved the house and layout! Overall it was clean and neat. The dock was a joy for the kids! Hours of fun fishing and hunting crabs. Baby items available were very helpful. Ceiling fans in all rooms. Swimming pool was the best!! Just a short ride from the house. Neighborhood was friendly and well-manicured. Very safe. We loved it! Owner very responsive and helpful to us!

Light, bright, open, airy home with great views in a secure location. Loved watching the sun rise from this home. Great location for exploring the beaches and historic sites in the area. House is well-equipped and clean.

Property is in a great location with close proximity to beach, restaurants and shops. Nice, quiet neighborhood. House accommodates a family of 5 nicely and sits on Roanoke Sound with a slip (Almost wish I owned a boat!).

With 3 young, active boys in tow, we needed a break.With gorgeous views, easy access to facilities, and a plethora of ideas within reach, we were able to relax in a safe, fun environment at this house. By day, we fished right outside, rode bikes in the quiet neighborhood, picked up fresh seafood from one of the places recommended in the house's "Welcome" documents, and took walks to the playground or gym. At night we played games that we found in the game room, put together puzzles, watched a rocket launch from Wallop's Island from the large deck out back, watched movies & found an Alexa, which, if you ask "Tell us a fairy tale", keeps kids rapt. There's a Wii, but we don't know how to use that stuff.This nurse still went around with sanitizer out of habit, but we had no concerns about cleanliness, security, or safety. Many thanks to the owners for opening their pristine home for others to enjoy.

We booked this property for a family vacation with our 5 children. It is located in a wonderful neighborhood with a pool, sand volleyball, basketball courts and more. We all felt very safe and the neighbors were inviting. The home was cozy, beds comfy and overall very inviting with beautiful views of the ocean! The owner was responsive and the home was clean. We would absolutely book this property again!

Comfortable clean waterfront home in great gated community. Well equipped with quality furnishings and kitchen utensils. Enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the dock. Close to Manteo waterfront, Lost Colony, and Nags Head. Easy and scenic drive to lighthouses and Wright Brothers Memorial. A perfect choice for an Outer Banks vacation.

Had a fabulous week at this property and from the very moment of booking to our departure everything was professionally organised by the owner - we would defiantly recommend and would not hesitate in returning.. ideal for trips out, fishing from the dock, kayaking, boating, renting a golf cart and driving around to the onsite bar and restaurant- wildlife galore with dolphins in the bay and beautiful sunsets..

We spent a fun long weekend celebrating our granddaughter's wedding. The home is spacious, and the views are grand. We loved catching crabs on the dock with the kids and taking long walks around the neighborhood and on the boardwalk. The pool and playground were fun for the children. Afternoons on the deck were amazing.

The house and location were perfect for us. It is also well maintained and offered all of the amenities we would expect with this type of rental property. We hope to rent it again.

What a wonderful stay in Manteo! This house was absolutely beautiful and right on the sound. Rarely left the back deck, sat and watched the sound, the boat traffic, and enjoyed the sunsets. The house was very comfortable and had a large kitchen and master bedroom. The neighborhood was very nice and a great place to walk in the evenings. It was quiet, even though you are close to your neighbors. Location was great to shopping, eating, and the Cape Hatteras beaches. My husband and I needed to rejuvenate and this was the place to go. The owner was extremely easy to work with and gave good instructions. Will definitely go back!

This is one of the best VRBO vacation homes that my family has stayed in. This house has so much room in it to spread out with 2 families. The house was very clean, and not cluttered. The kitchen is well stocked for you to cook any meal you wish. The views off the deck every moring watching the sunrise was breathtaking. My boys and my father spent a lot of time fishing right off the dock and had a blast. They caught a variety of fish. A little bit of everything. We caught and cooked about 30 blue crabs that were caught right off the dock. The home is conveniently located close to restaurants, beaches and shopping. The neighborhood is prestigious. A great restaurant right on the property. We rented a golf cart for the week to ride around the neighborhood, and it was fun to ride to the marina every afternoon to see some of the big fish that the fisherman would bring back from off shore fishing. The owner of the home is very quick to respond to any questions you may have. We will defiantly rent again on our next trip to the outerbanks. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

This is the sixth time we have stayed in this house when we come to the OBX every May. It is clean and comfortable, has plenty of room, and a great view of Roanoke Sound. It is in a gated development which is quiet and secure. Being in the middle of the OBX it is a convenient base for trips North to Corolla and South to Ocracoke. And of course all the conveniences of Manteo and Nags Head are a 5 minute drive away. We'll be back next May.

What an outstanding place to stay! Beautiful home inside and out. Very quiet area, and ideally located for accessing the beach areas of Nags Head, etc, Roanoke Island, and Alligator River NWR. Simply outstanding in every way! I would stay here again any time I'm in that area!

Wonderfully comfortable and located in a secure and quiet area that is close to all the activities that you would want at the beach including some of the best seafood available on the Outer Banks.

The house was beauty and perfect for our family. Plenty of space, not over decorated or cluttered! We loved the deck over looking the water, the dock was perfect for our boys, and the game system was a hit for them as well. It was very clean and I loved the fact that we didn't have to pack linens and towels! Overall we love the pirates cove community and the house was a big hit with our family. We will definitely recommend and be returning!
