Our stay at the first Canadian rotating house in North Rustico was fantastic and wonderful to hear a story about how Steve decided to built the rotating house. As it is described, we could see the Ocean from our home away from home (house only rotating during day time and you are on the Oceanside every other night. My husband even took a picture of the sunset from the backyard, which was beautiful! Not to mention the Atlantic beach is within 10 minutes walking distance, we went down a couple of times playing catch ball or baseball. We rented bikes from a shop next to the North Rustico harbor that bike to Cavendish beach on a bike path along the Ocean. If you are with children, I recommend clam digging that Steve and the local market owner told us, Google South Rustico Lions club or the farmers bank museum, you will see the Bay down the street from the farmers bank museum. Most touristic places are near or 30 minutes distances except Basin Head Provincial Park(1 hour 30 minutes from the house) but you must try when you have older kids(my son is 9 years and he enjoyed jumping off from the Wharf to the river and swimming to the Ocean. Waves at the Basin beach are the best and safe because of a long stretch of sand bar. The house has everything you need for cooking, lawn chairs, beach towels, even sand toys to borrow. There is a grocery store, Dorion fish market in a 2 minutes drive. Mussels from the fish market was really good and bigger than other restaurants. Overall, it was truly home away from home in PEI.

Stayed at Around the Sea for a week and had an incredible experience. The property is immaculate, the area is beautiful, and the hosts are very friendly. I hope to make this my go to place to stay every time I visit PEI. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Check in was flawless, property incredible, beach a hop and a skip away, lovely restaurants nearby, an awesome get-away, back to the condo for evening drinks on the deck..oh my...

Very easy no complaints what so ever

We went for a ladies staycation and had a great time. Great location and close to Cavendish as well. Modern decor, a 15 minute walk to a beautiful beach. NO mosquitoes :). And you can feel and see it rotate. Ate at the Blue Mussel restaurant, very close and was very good. 4 condos/units on bottom, lots of space on deck.

Our family really enjoyed our staycation in the rotating condo! I thought the novelty of the rotating aspect would be short-lived, but it held the interest of our young daughter (and ourselves!) during our entire 2-night stay. We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach for both the gorgeous views and the 20-minute walking loop from the condo down to the beach and back. The kitchen had everything we needed, although a few extra dish cloths, towels, and maybe some paper towels would have been useful to bring along as we like to spend a lot of time cooking! We also really enjoyed the tour of the basement and learn about how the rotating mechanism worked. Thanks for the great stay!

The property and location was lovely. Steve, the host was kind and very accommodating. It was very relaxing and a beautiful view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back at some point.

Beautiful accommodations with very modern feel to it. The fact that it rotates makes it very unique and it gives you the 360 degree view of the property and surroundings!

We feel the unit was very nice in and of itself, but there were a few things that we feel could be improved upon. The shower, while beautiful and clean was clearly not designed with shorter people in mind. The shelves were too high to be of any use. There was only one light working above the island, the clock was without a battery (not a really big issue, but it is a really big clock). Because of the design of the building, guests were to get to and from their units by walking on the grass, so as not to disturb other guests., and not on the deck itself. Because of this, the grass should be kept short, to avoid wet feet by walking to and from the parking area. If you are looking for a nice, private getaway, this isn’t really the place to go. As the house turns, the surrounding are stunning when viewing the ocean side, otherwise you have the view of a subdivision.

Our stay with Steve at his rotating condo overlooking the water was awesome. Steve gave us some great suggestions on things to see and do in the area. The condo was very clean, comfortable and well appointed!

"Around the Sea" is outstanding accomodation for a visit of any length. While unique as the circular property rotates the suites are well laid out, fully furnished and tastefully done. The bed is very comfortable with excellent bedding and the bathroom is large, first class and outfitted with quality materials. The owners are always available to respond to questions. If staying for a length of time you need to consider off-site laundry as the suite does not have a washer/dryer. The residence is close to good restaurants,coop grocery store,gas station and anything else you would need. A first class accomodation and if back in this area of PEI it would be our first place to stay.

We all had a great time. We will stay here another time. Steve greeted us, as soon as we arrived. We enjoyed the lovely gift basket with local homemade goods. The accommodations were very nice with a million dollar view!!!

We stayed at the rotating house with our friends. We each rented our own condo. On arrival we were immediately met by our host, Steve. He was extremely thoughtful in giving us tips on restaurants and touring the island. He also provided us with things needed such as lobster pot and tools. He ensured that everyone got their fair share of the beautiful water views. The ability of the home to rotate is truly fascinating.The condo was definitely 5 star with all amenities. It was immaculately clean. The location is excellent. Very quiet and a close walk to a lovely beach. Restaurants, grocery, bakery and an amazing fish store are within walking distance. We rarely return to the same place but will make an exception with this home. We would love to take our family in the near future.

From the moment we arrived we knew why we had returned. It is a very cosy and well equipped suite. We appreciated the Welcome Basket filled with Island delights. The King size bed was just what we needed for a good nights sleep after busy days enjoying the Island. Being close to beach was great. We have enjoyed staying here in late November when the snow was blowing and also now in the Spring when ice was still around the coves, the suite was always cosy to come back too. Steve is a responsible host and ensures that you have everything you need. We look forward to returning some time soon

Everything was just as advertised - clean, modern and wonderful! Steve and his family are the perfect hosts - friendly and helpful! Large windows to enjoy the ever changing view. The very comfortable king bed was perfect for getting a good night's sleep. Twenty minute walk on the boardwalk to Doiron's Fish Market to buy fresh lobster and seafood to take home and enjoy. Can't say enough good things about this property and our stay there. Welcome basket was full of local delights.

Our stay at the Rotating House was great! The suites are brand new, spotless, and equipped with everything that you need! Steve was an outstanding host. He greeted us when we arrived and had lots of great information and suggestions of what to see and do during our stay. He even gave us his cell number so that we could text him if we had any questions while we were out and about during the day. I have booked through VRBO several times and this was by far the best experience that I've had. Everything exceeded my expectations and I would recommend the Rotating House to anyone visiting Canada's beautiful east coast!

My husband and I loved this place, with its guaranteed view of the red cliffs, its modern decor, handy kitchen, luxurious shower, and fascinating engineering and architecture. Steve is a wonderful host. The place is as described and I would certainly recommend it.

The units are spacious and modern, the views are spectacular, and the village of North Rustico is a lovely. Steve was a gracious host and very attentive to our needs.

I spent a week at the rotating house in PEI and I thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of my stay. My hosts, Steve and Stephanie, are truly amazing and very welcoming. On the first day, they welcomed us with a basket of yummy goodies. Throughout my stay, they would send me emails on different festivals happening in PEI and they were always available lest something was lacking. The cottage is well worth every single penny!!! It's very comfortable, clean and luxurious! I would definitely stay at the rotating house the next time I visit PEI!

Dear Steve, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Around the Sea". You gave us many helpful tips on how to get the most out of our first visit to PEI. The easy access to the beach was a bonus, especially having a lifeguard right there. We would highly recommend (and already have) your condo to anyone interested in staying in PEI.
