Great location, easy walk to everything yet still far enough away so that it wasn't loud at night from the nightlife. Clean and well equiped. I liked the layout. Lots of storage, towels and blankets. My only negative is the bathrooms could use some tlc. The toilet seat was missing a bolt making every time we sat down a new adventure. It took 4 days to be repaired. The bathrooms are either water stained or haven't been deep cleaned in a while. Overall I would recommend

This VRBO was exactly what was stated online. It is the perfect place . So conveniently located to beach and for setting up tours. Not located right on the busy streets so quiet in the evening. Everything was in the VRBO . Plenty of towels, beach towels, hair dryer,kitchen was set up with every needed to cook meals. Super Markets nearby. There was no problem using US Dollars everywhere. Very nice beaches.

This is one of my favorite properties in Tamarindo. It is in the middle of everything and has access to everything Tamarindo has to offer. You are only a few steps from restaurants and bars, the supermarket, or the beach. In addition to having a great location, it has a great pool for those lazy days.

Location is good, refrigerator needs care or better yet a new one, it leaks. Master bedroom bed also needs improvement, better yet , change. Main negative issue is parking, Listing gives the impresión cars will be parked securely, actually you have to park in the parkway outside and car is watched by a guard outside. Not ideal , will not go back.

The place was great. The pictures do it no justice. It loons much better in person. Very spacious, comfortable beds and lots of towels, bedding and even an air mattress available. The decor was nice and the owner has a binder with lots of helpful info on different places to eat and do activities. The internet worked great and fast. The ac worked great as well in the entire place.The location was perfect. It was close to everything. Literally, less than a 5 minute walk to restaurants and stores. At night it was very quiet. Even though it has no elevator, it was not bad going to the 2nd floor. The only two flaws I found were that the lights in the house were not as bright and that the apartmentwas not ready when we arrived for check in. Other than that, I would highly recommend staying there. I would definitely book the place again.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in this spacious, clean, well appointed apartment. We were comfortable and appreciated the close proximity to the beach, the refreshing pool, and the security (although we felt safe and secure the entire time in Costa Rica). What a wonderful country with so much to offer. There is a market on Saturday just a couple minutes walk away and a super mercado just is also a very short walk away. We had no problem parking our car there, but really didn't need a car since everything is within walking distance. Enjoy your visit!

Everything was within easy walking distance. The pool was wonderful, morning, noon and evening. It had everything we needed.

The lovely photo of the pool is taken from the roof, it doesn't show the cracked and missing tiles around the pool which has black grime around it's edgest. This unit is old and well worn. We have used VBRO for years and wondered when we would rent a property not as pictured. this one was it.

This place was perfect for my wife and I and not a bad price. You’re a short 1-2min walk straight up from the beach and main strip of Tamarindo. It was really nice being tucked back behind the Diria resort as it was much quieter at night than being right in the main road.

The place was nice...relaxing balcony and community roof patio. Great pool with shade from the hot sun. Best location in town for restaurants and night life. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook and eat at home. Pura Vida!!!!

This condo was as advertised. We loved it! The drive from the Liberia Airport was comfortable. We arranged for the shuttle that was recommended by Brett and were so impressed by the driver. Check-in was easy and we felt safe the entire duration of our stay. Tamarindo is a friendly place! We were looking for a relaxing getaway and found it. The beach is SO CLOSE! It was an easy 5 minute walk. We were always impressed by the restaurants. There were so many to choose from. Some hidden gems were worth looking for. I can't really comment on the nightlife or shopping as we spent each day on the beach, but I'm quite sure Tamarindo has it all! The condo is air-conditioned with plenty of room for a family of 4. The king bed was extremely comfortable (but it did occasionally wake me up with it's squeaking). The twins beds were quite firm, but still afforded a good night's rest. The condo has a big kitchen equipped with many basic dishes, cutlery, and utensils. It was very tidy. Truly, the coffee pot was the most used appliance! You will love the variety of coffee that Tamarindo offers. The kitchen has a window that looks directly into the apartment next door. We simply hung a make-shift curtain to allow for privacy in the morning and evening. The condo provides beach and plush bath towels and has a washing machine in the unit. It was a huge convenience having that washing machine. It was also convenient having two bathrooms! Sitting on the balcony each morning with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, listening to the birds singing was a highlight of each day. #9 Balcones del Pacifico became our "home away from home". You will be sure to have a wonderful vacation staying at this condo!

We did enjoy our stay at the property and the only thing I would say is it needed a little bit more cleaning. I don't know how long is has been since the owner has been there but the only problem was the showers. The shower liners and showers themselves needed a good cleaning. It wouldn't hurt to replace the shower liners since they were very much in need to be replaced. I believe the water there in Tamarindo is hard since all the calcium build-up. But knowing this the showers could have been given some extra scrubbing. The condo grounds are very well taken care of and while we were there they were doing lots of outside painting and caring of the property. The men were fun to watch and were not intrusive at all. The property is in a great location, really couldn't be better unless you wanted right on the beach.Grocery store and some restaurants maybe a minute away. Just a great location.There is a lady, if you go right out of the gate, on the corner on the main street that sells home made food out of the back of her truck for less than $4.00. Can't be beat. Most of the restaurants are outside and in the heat its sometime too much. We did have a great time and would recomed this condo once the shower curtains are changed.

This home was amazing! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped and included some spices, which was perfect for us since we cooked most of the time. The master bedroom was very cozy and comfortable. The location is perfect! Everything was within walking distance. The beach and the main road was only a block away. We were surrounded by so many restaurants and souvenir stores. We mainly ate at Pura Vegan which was only a 2 minute walk. Our stay in this condo was perfect! I 100% would recommend this place!

My family had a fantastic vacation in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We could not have asked for anything else regarding our stay and the specific unit #9 in Balcones de Pacifico. The unit was clean and inviting and had plenty of room for our family of 4 (two adults and two kids). The location is right in the center of town, so you could not ask for a better location. We were literally minutes from all of the restaurants, beaches and shops. There was a mini grocery stores located approx. 100 yards away with all of the essentials, which we frequented often!! When not at the beach, the kids absolutely loved the pool as it was a great place to relax away from the crowds at the beach and still enjoy the amazing weather (even had spots in the shade). Brett, the owner, was great to deal with and provided us all of the information to make this one of our best family vacations to date! Thanks Brett. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Overall, great location. Tamarindo beach and all the restaurants are within short walking distance. There are 3 grocery stores in the area. The first one literally 3 minutes away. Emperial grocery store within 6 min and one more the most expansive further away but still within walking distance. I gave 4 stars because the internet connection was poor. If you rely on internet for work or school you cannot use free wifi provided. A/C in the main bedroom was not working properly. It worked great in the living room/kitchen and second bedroom, but not in the master bedroom. The bed in the master bedroom was squeaking. It wakes you up at night. Overall it was a good place for the price we paid.

Perfect location as just minutes from beach, restaurants, & Shopping. We spent a month at this condo and felt we had everything nice and close including the supermarket. The condo was spacious and clean. We were very impressed with the care taken to ensure the pool was always clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, met wonderful people from the other units and was very impressed with the care, ground maintenance, & security provided. We received good value for our money & would certainly recommend for rental. To the owners - I would recommend blackout curtains on patio doors to minimize heat from the sun and reduce overall electric cost from air conditioner. A win/win for all. Great stay!

The condo was as advertised. The location was great. It was a short walk to the main street or to the beach. The pool area was good to relax at after a day exploring the area.

The condo was clean and roomy. It was pretty well provisioned but we had to buy toiletry and soap items. I can’t say enough about the location! Breaking Bread is just down the road with fresh croissants and warm bread and great coffee and you are just two blocks from everything. The pool was too cold for me but my husband was in it every day. The only recommendation I would make is that there be two sets of keys left. It was difficult having to co-ordinate our activities so we could both access the keys. Leaving the key to the door in the lockbox is good for the door but doesn’t get you in the gate. Other than that, it was perfect for us.

Nice condo and very convenient location.

We stayed at Balcones for an extended period of time in late July and early August and the stay was AWESOME! If I could give it 10 stars I would. The location was ideal. You can walk to everything Tamarindo has to offer. The pool was great. The grounds are very well cared for. The 24 hour security provides a piece of mind. The owner was a pleasure to work with and he has hired a fabulous property manager (Maria) to attend to any on sight items which for us was none! The condo is extra spacious and if you are looking for a place to spread out in Tamarindo look no further.

It is right in the middle of everything. We chose not to get a car and it worked out perfectly. There are shuttles if you want to go to other beaches, but we enjoyed the beach, surf and sunsets in Tamarindo. There are so many restaurants and shops nearby and the beach is right down the street. The condo is a perfect size for one or two couples. We had 2 couples and each had our own bedroom one with queen size bed & the other had 2 twin beds. The bedrooms had plenty of hanging and drawers space to unpack. There are plenty of beach towels and bath towels along with extra bed sheets. The bathrooms and showers were spacious. The kitchen was nice to have. We made several meals at the condo. I am not a cook, but all the basics I needed are there and the market is right down the street. We did pick up some paper towels and plastic cups. We didn’t watch a lot of TV (everything was in Spanish except HBO) but there is WI-FI so you can watch Netflix on the TV. The gate was open when we first arrived so I was able to go get the key to the condo out of the lockbox beside the door. After that, we keep the condo key in the lockbox and carried the gate key with us. Maria the property manager stopped by and checked on us. I had her cell and texted her a few times and she was very helpful with any questions I had. There is a washing machine in the condo and the dryer is downstairs for your use. There are 2 lounge beach chairs in the condo we took to the beach one day or you can rent chairs and umbrella for $15 a day. The property is well maintained. The grounds keeper was out there every day, cleaning the pool, trimming the bushes, etc. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the pool, but the pool was nice to cool off in later in the day and there is an outdoor shower to rinse off after coming back from the beach. The condo was clean, safe and worked out perfectly for our vacation. Pura Vita!

This condo was great for our stay in Tamarindo. It was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning and wifi worked well and was very quiet which led to some great sleeping after long days at the beach. Condo is in a great location a block away from the beach and equally as close to multiple great dining options. Added bonus was the pool which was a nice change of pace to relax and cool off in. We mostly spent time on the beach, but there are many tour options if you get bored of the beach. We will mostly definitely return!

Very pleased with the condo at Balcones Del Pacifico.Very clean,with all of the amenities, the property is very well maintained and safe.The pool was much appreciated due to the temperature.I would recommend it for any family.Everything is a five to ten minute walk to the beach,the stores,and restaurants.An enjoyable stay.

Wish there were more chairs by the pool. It was secure, quiet, and close to everything. The local agent was very responsive to questions. We would stay there again.

this place was perfect for us. my friends and i went on a surf trip and wanted to stay in tamarindo. so balcones de pacifico was exactly what we were looking for. access to the condo was extremely easy. it has a little parking lot which has 24 hour guard watching over the gate and cars. so if you have a rental car you dont have to worry about vandalism or theft while its parked here. as for the place itself, its fully air conditioned, has a functional kitchen if you decide you want to make meals for yourself, and is just off the main road that goes through tamarindo.. if you go right it takes you the best restaurant in town (patagonia) and a nice little shaded beach access point. if you go left it takes you to a slew of fun bars, supermarket, a bank, and other restaurants as well... all within walking distance. tamarindo has everything you would want.. beautiful beaches with sunsets, great food, cool souvenir stores, and fun nightlife. if you are looking to travel and see some cool beaches and stuff go to playa avellanas, playa marbella, and playa grande. also a really cool waterfall about an hour away called llanos de cortes. if you have any qiestion or concerns, the property manager and the owner had a pretty fast response time via email. no issues. i only have one negative. as someone that lives wrinkle free, i did not see an iron. but other than that i would definitely come back. i hope your stay was as pleasant as mine.
