This property was perfect for our group which ranged from infant to adults. There was plenty to do outside and having the beach/dock so close was comforting for the older kids to play and adults to keep an eye on them. We were rarely inside as there was so much to do outside!

Excellent experience. The property was well maintained and very well appointed with everything needed for enjoying the lake and surroundings such as hot tub, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. also proximity to stores and town made it a convenient location. Would definitely return.

There were four families and it was a perfect spot and plenty of room for all.

There were 18 of us, our annual vacation with our kids and grandchildren. We usually head to the Florida beaches but wanted something different. This was a beautiful home and we had so much to do there that we never had to leave for other entertainment. I believe we like the lake in place of the busy beach. We had one of the best family vacations. All 20 of us, all ages, from 4- 66 had something to do: Fishing, boating, or just plain relaxing. Great place with so much to do. Definitely recommended to stay at.

The house was perfect for our family reunion for our daughter’s graduation from Auburn University. The sunsets were amazing as well as all the outdoor space for our family to relax and play games together. The house had everything you could possibly need as well as all the lake toys (kayaks…etc).

I can't say enough great things. The host was quick to respond at the smallest questions. Very helpful and friendly. I've been burned by past rentals so now I over pack extra things we might need. I could have left half of it at home. The pace place has everything you could need and more. The listing only mentions a fraction of what's included! The kitchen is fully stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. And so much extra space to store your food and personal items. It even had some snacks already stocked (and we added to the community pantry when we left to share the love). The big living room with double sectional sofas makes a great family gathering area. But honestly we stayed outside the whole time. It was a little chilly at times but that was remedied by the giant propane heaters and gas fire place and huge fire pit with PLENTY of comfy chairs (BRING FIRE WOOD!!) Fun yard games like yard Yahtzee, tetherball, Cornhole, volleyball. Kayaks and paddle boards so everyone can enjoy the water without a boat rental. No detail has been left out. The small things that I appreciated the most were PLENTY of trash cans and waste bins all over the house including outdoors. A mini fridge upstairs and a second full size fridge and kitchen in the outside boat house. So much comfy seating at every turn. This place feels like home and I love it. I also frequent lake Martin and really loved the detailed section in the book about goat island and all the goats names and info. So sweet.

Great property with everything you’ll need for a perfect vacation! The kayaks, boat floats, dock, beach, paddle boat, and porches were all a big hit. The layout of the house was perfect for our family. Lovely Lake Martin vacation home near Dadeville.

This was our second family trip to Lake Martin. This location is perfect and the sunset is incredible. The house was beautiful and comfortable for our large family(8 children and 5 adults). The house had so many extra amenities to enjoy. The odor area is very spacious. The sand, swim area, swing set, and water toys were such a hit with the children. The homeowner was very easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We made many wonderful family memories and hope to come back to this home!

The Pace Place was a family friendly house with lots of room to spread out and relax. The outdoor amenities were amazing and safe. We loved the TREX dock and furniture, no splinters! Water sports from morning ‘til night were a favorite on beautiful Lake Martin. Our grandchildren had a blast! The adults enjoyed the fire pit, plentiful seating outdoors, great fans, hot tub & kayaks. Lots of memories for all.

We had 18 people in our party. Everyone had a really great time. The property is plenty big enough to handle a big crowd. Mr. Pace was very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. Any question we had he was very prompt with answers. Looking forward to renting the property again.

This property is amazing. I took a group of high senior girls for my daughters birthday! From the moment of arrival, everything was perfect. The owners have thought of everything. Hot tub and kayaks were a huge hit with the girls. The fire pit was a lot of fun to do s’mores, and sitting on the top level of the dock provided beautiful sunset views as well as star gazing at night. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out, yet cozy enough to feel like everyone is together. The owners have thought of everything. Foosball, corn hole, volleyball, and the list goes on. We never left our entire stay except to go to the grocery store and to kayak around the lake. And we never wanted to! It’s in a wonderful neighborhood, lots of yard space, a boat launch and spectacular views. Just can’t say enough good things! The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. We will most definitely be back!

Nine of us rented this house for a girls trip. We had a fantastic time! LOVE this house! Steven (the owner) is very nice and makes sure you are happy when you arrive. Tons of things to do - fire pit, kayaks, dock with second floor, two porches for sitting or dining, swings, and hot tub. Great bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and an additional carriage house for more folks. The kitchen is downstairs when you walk in which is super convenient. We will definitely rent here again!

The house suited us perfectly! There was enough space for everyone to be very comfortable. Steve was very responsive to any of our needs. The beach and sand was my granddaughter's favorite part. What a great place!

Had a great time, this was our 2nd time at the pace place! Enjoyed the lake and loved the new additions of the hot tub cover lift, table a chairs and we used a few of the rafts! Everyone had a great time and everyone was able to spread out and enjoy some down time.

This property has everything you could ask for. Lots of room and everything you could think of to have fun. If you do not have a good time here, it's your own fault.

Visited with our daughter and her roommates! Had an amazing time and home is everything pictured and more. We enjoyed all the water toys, hot tub and ended our days by the fire pit! Will definitely be back.

The Pace Place was exactly what my family and I were looking for. We have started spending New Years together at a getaway location to avoid cleaning up our Christmas decorations. ;). There are 8 adults (4 couples) and 3 kiddos (8, 7 & 3.5), and this place had plenty of room for all of us. For each couple to have their own bathroom was a huge plus compared to past accommodations. No one had to "draw the short straw" when it came to bedrooms, they were all very comfortable! The owner was very well prepared for the forgetful traveler or chef. Even though we pack thoroughly for cooking items and toiletries, they had you covered if something was forgotten. Just to be clear, don't forget to pack your steak and wine, you will not find that in the fridge, hehe:) The kitchen and the bathrooms were well stocked though. The owner was also readily available via text or phone if we needed anything. Communication was superb! Everything was very clean and tidy. The layout of the living room was great for 8 adults and 3 kiddos with room to spare. If you have a moment of "what was I thinking?! Coming here with all these people and for overnights??!!!!", well, the Pace Place has you covered with plenty of places to slip away for a moment of peace. The seating on the deck over the water is fabulous! The back porch area with chairs to lounge in, a hot tub, and heaters for colder months was great. The upstairs balcony doubles as a great place for morning devotions and evening nightcaps ("Thank you Jesus for my family"). :) Cocktails around the bonfire all together was our favorite. The lack of light pollution makes the Pace Place a wonderful spot for stargazing! Dip your toes into the white Gulf Shores sand that has been landscaped into the area around the lake and see how many constellations you can find! The yard can be well lit at night if you have little ones or dogs to keep an eye on. I suggest flashlights for the kiddos after dark, but the edge of the lake is well outlined for parents and kids to keep a watch. Overall, I have to say the sunsets were our favorite. Just a moment to reflect on our blessings and honestly feel small in the big world around us. It was such a relaxing and refreshing stay for our family. The Pace place is an awesome place to stay. There’s plenty of room and lots of amenities that you won’t get elsewhere. Our only concern In staying here was that the AC was locked at 69 degrees which would normally not be a problem, but with the fall air, the Upstairs would get stuffy feeling at night and just made a few of us uncomfortable. However, Steven did do his best to accommodate us by letting us turn it down to 65. I would definitely stay here again, just not when the temp outside is cool and humidity is high. All in all, if you want a great place to stay with beautiful sunset views and you aren’t picky on being cool at night, stay at the Pace Place!

Pace Place is fabulous. Everything is in great condition. It is decorated beautifully. The kitchen is well-stocked and it's great that everyone leaves their extras so if you forgot something or run out, chances are there is some extra in the cupboard. The layout works great because you don't feel like everyone is stuck in one room - the two separate eating areas really works well. The "bunk house" is a treat - especially for teenagers. You can give them some food, their phones, and a little privacy (when they are not on the lake). The dock is in great shape, and the second story gives you a good view. The dock location works really well - you are in a protected little cove, but you can tube and wakeboard on the big bay area right outside the cove. The best of both worlds. The beach and fire pit give you plenty of things to do. 3 trash cans was a bonus and so was the gas AND charcoal combo grill. Finally, the grocery store is nice and close (that's something you don't always find on Lake Martin). We had a great time and would definitely return!!!

Great house. We had an extended family get together for the weekend and this worked out perfectly. We had 4 families with 10 people total and it was plenty spacious. A great house!!

Great property. Good location in the area and not to far from the big water. Great for simply relaxing and letting the world go by at it's own pace.

We rented Pace Place in order to bring 14 family members together on Lake Martin, where our grandparents had a place years ago. The Pace Place became the center of the magic for a week, and it was perfect. We had sixteen people from four families, and it fit us all very comfortably. Besides the serenity the place provided, we had everything we needed, from pots and pans, to nice, new appliances, to comfortable beds. It also had a perfect little beach spot where you could watch the kids swimming, or watch the sublime sunsets. I cannot say enough about The Pace Place. The owner was responsive and kind, and wonderful to work with, and he has thought of every detail. We enjoyed the kayaks and peddle boats that were available with the house. He even “has a guy” for rentals of boats or paddleboards, or whatever you need. We will absolutely come back!

This was a Great Lake place for my family to enjoy a long weekend. There was 3 families with 7 adults and 4 children. The outside dock, yard, and little beach area was well maintained and equipped with a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, fire pit, grill, and a nice outside porch. The inside of the house had a large master suite, 2 king bedrooms with a set of bunk beds in each and a nice bath for each bedroom. The large kitchen was fairly well equipped. The 4th bedroom was very small with no closet and no room to even put a suitcase on the floor. There was a powder room for this bedroom to use but no shower. They have a bunk house that we didn't use but it looked nice. Overall it was a very nice place and the owner was extremely attentive and helpful to us.

14 family members (11 adults, 3 kids) were very comfortable and the beach swim area was a big hit. Also, covered boat slip was a bonus as we brought our bass boat and fished a lot! Owner Steven was great communicator and made our stay enjoyable. Neighbor "Chief Charles" (retired fire chief) was a joy to talk to and brought us fresh vegetables from his garden. Home was well decorated, comfortable and wifi throughout. You won't be disappointed if you rent this 5 star.

This place is beautiful!! The extra bedrooms are set up just alike (which is perfect for families) with plenty of space! The master is beautiful! The family room had plenty of seating for those rainy days! The beach are is perfect and obviously the lake is beautiful!!! We loved the Pace Place!!

Lots of waterfront, a little beach for great swimming, pier for great fishing and boating. Owners are super nice and responsive to any issue. Look forward to staying there again!

The pictures don't do this beautiful home and amazing lake front property justice. The grounds are level which appears to be unusual as there are no stairs or difficult terrain to get from the house to the water. This is a bonus for people w/ mobility challenges & small children! The front door opens to a large tiled entry that is perfect for overflow storage. We kept our dogs there worry free using a gate we found in the utility room. There is a small nautical themed bedroom downstairs which can use the large utility room for storing belongings (equipped with racks for hanging clothes & built in benching for luggage) that won't fit in that bedroom due to its size. There is a 1/2 bath downstairs. The kitchen bar & two dining areas amply seat large groups for meals. The rest of the bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. There is a magnificent master suite & bathroom & private deck w/ patio set & umbrella w/stunning views! The two other bedrooms have king beds & bunk sets that include a 3rd single pull out potentially sleeping a family of 5. They each have large walk-in closets, full bathrooms & flat screened TVs and are adorably decorated (my granddaughter’s fav was the Mermaid room!). The beds are very comfortable. There is a loft with pull out sofa couch and large TV for relax time. The detached suite can sleep another family (mini kitchen, couch w/TV & full bathroom. Owner provides a paddle boat, 2 kayaks & lots of outdoor seating. Bonus is a private sandy beach, fire pit area, dock & boat launch ramp. We had great fun on the paddle boat but never used the kayaks since we rented a pontoon boat. Lake Martin is gorgeous and this spot in particular is quiet and peaceful out of the path of weekend jet ski runners and power boats yet you can still see and hear the activity. Once the sun sets over Smith Mountain (beautiful!) the seawall and dock light up and a fish attracting green light comes on located at the end of the dock. We had fun watching the fish and the kids enjoyed the feeding frenzy when they tossed in pieces of bread. To wrap this up, the owner is amazing and responded immediately to small things that came up during our stay. It is immediately obvious that their house is an expression of who they are and their attention to detail. We appreciated staying in a place that they’ve lovingly made to feel like a home away from home for their guests. Thank you Steve & Natasha, we will be back!
