Stayed here for 3 nights. Property is clean and nicely decorated. If you are visiting Alameda (or the East Bay) and need a nice homebase for 2 adults this place is worth checking out. Communication was clear and responsive. I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Alameda.

This stay was as good as it gets for a VRBO rental. The house was *immaculate* in terms of cleanliness, and this may be my first VRBO trip where absolutely everything in the property was EIWO (everything in working order). It was a pleasure to work with the owner, and I look forward to coming back!

Fantastic apartment within walking distance of Park Street restaurants. We had a lovely getaway in this immaculate art deco apartment and returned relaxed and refreshed. We will definitely be back.

Spent this year’s annual girls weekend with two of my good friends in Alameda. This cute house is the perfect location to walk to local restaurants, and is an easy drive to Alameda Point and for a day in San Francisco.

We just returned from our stay and Margaret's home in Alameda. Beautifully appointed with all of the comforts of home. We stayed when there was unseasonably warmer weather, and the central AC worked very well to cool the home. The king sized bed was soft which we enjoyed, but those who prefer a firm mattress may not be as happy. Self check in and out was perfect, street parking a breeze and a quiet location we would highly recommend. Thank you Margaret!

This home is one of the nicest rentals we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Everything was top quality, from the kitchen appliances and cookware to the towels and bed linens. The king bed was very comfortable as was the sofa-bed as reported by our 12 year old grandson. We never had a problem finding a place to park on the street, and it was only a 7 minute walk downtown to the shops and restaurants. It was about 30 mins over the Bay Bridge to San Francisco, depending on traffic, and Margaret had given us a heads up about getting the Fastrak for the tolls which made the trips go smoothly. Margaret was excellent at communicating whenever we had a question and let us know when the WiFi was being repaired, which didn’t take long. We would most definitely stay at this rental again if we're in the Bay area. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet and a nice respite at the end of a day of sightseeing.

We could have checked in a little early because owner messaged us that the unit was ready. Upon arrival, we found the space was even nicer than described. The high quality interior seemed brand new, and everything was so comfortable and handy. I can’t name anything that could have been better. Bed, bedding, shower etc were first-rate. Appears smallish on the outside, but the interior was very roomy. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and spotting fairy gardens and Little Free Libraries. Plenty of coffee shops nearby for my needs. We also went to Ole’s for breakfast twice in four days. We will be back.

We had an absolutely lovely time. The property is beautiful and so close to everything on Park Street. We will definitely be coming back for another getaway as soon as we can.

Beautiful, comfortable property in a very convenient location. Easy walk to south shore beach or over to Park Street cafes and shops. Everything was as described. Lots of natural light. The kitchen counter was very suitable as a computer desk. Very comfortable bed. Great artwork! Excellent communication with host.

I can’t say enough great things about the property and the owners. It is so well kept, clean, and centrally located. It has everything you can think of for a comfortable stay. It’s easy to see why the calendar shows this property is often booked in advance. Will definitely book again when we visit Alameda again.

The art deco architecture and fittings are wonderful, but the flower garden and the bee hive in the tree hollow were what made this home really special.

The biggest draw for me though is the gorgeous garden surrounding the house...I woke up each day to a nice cup of coffee on the outside patio shaded by a fragrant plum tree. The neighborhood feels really safe and you are about a 5 minute walk from main street with restaurants and entertainment. Honestly just walking around this quaint little neighborhood is entertainment itself. I would definitely recommend this rental to a friend (actually I already have!)

This is our second stay at this beautiful space. It is so clean and comfortable and so close to so many things. Alameda is a lovely little city and has so much to offer. The yards in this neighborhood are just beautiful and we are so relaxed in this little corner of the city. Thank you for your hospitality!
