Great location and excellent host

Wonderful property, excellent communication with everything necessary for a great stay provided! Pretty great to leave the restaurant right across the street at night and in one minute you’re relaxing for the night in your place.

This is a great condo, even better than advertised. It’s tastefully decorated, fully equipped, extremely comfortable, and superbly located. Donna is a great host, and responded promptly to our two queries. First, the halyard for reserving beach chairs was missing, and second a remote for bedroom tv was missing (not a problem since we don’t watch tv in bed; we just wanted to let her know). One caveat: if like us you’re used to cooking with gas, you might want to do what we do and bring an electric frying pan. The oven and broiler are first rate, but that electric cooktop is a pain. What’s better than advertised is the location. An excellent supermarket is minutes away, and even better, a good French restaurant, Miquel’s, is a block away. (Avoid the house salad, order the Caesar; everything else is really good. Ask for Brendon to wait on you.) Across the street is an oyster house with fabulous fresh oysters and clam chowder. There’s also a liquor store, a small grocery, a post office and UPS, and a 7/11. A fabulous condo. You won’t find better.

Donna was great. The location was perfect and the apartment was as advertised. Would definitely stay again.

I can’t say enough about the house of the sun. The rooms, the access, the pool. This was a great stay that sold my wife on siesta key forever. Donna was so nice and easy to work with. She gave us all of the best details on how to get about and made checking in and out so simple. We also had two other of her rentals through other family members and she took just as great care of them. We can’t thank her enough for letting us enjoy our vacation in her little slice of heaven

The complex is very well managed and is on a nice, quieter stretch of beach. Several restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. The apartment was comfortable,kitchen well equipped, and owner was very responsive and accomodating.

The condo is as described. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. The air conditioning along with ceiling fans made it very comfortable. The location is great. Steps from the beach. Donna is a wonderful host. Responds quickly to questions and provided suggestions on where to go and things to do. The condo is equipped with everything you would possibly need. We hope to return!

Thank you Donna for the wonderful stay! Clean condo. Ideal location. Easy communication. I’ve stayed at a few different places in Siesta Key, and House of the Sun is our favorite. We flew down so we had to come with just a few necessities. The condo had extras for us that we greatly appreciated: box fans for the bedrooms, cooler to pack our lunches and drinks, towels for the pool, etc. We will be coming back! My only complaint would be regarding the umbrella rental at the beach - I feel like they needed to be a little more spread out, but that is nothing that would keep us from coming back! BOOK IT!

This unit has easy access to the gulf, right in front of the building, and a small pool with lots of chairs. Very comfortable for the four of us and easy walk to a few grocery items, alcohol, three restaurants, and a small drugstore.

We loved this Vrbo at House of Sun. It was very clean and well maintained. Donna was an awesome host. We would definitely book this Vrbo with Donna again. Thank you Donna!

Very nice location. Clean, well stocked and decorated condo. Sand is absolutely white and powdery. As described 100 ft to the beach. Would stay again.

My 15 year old daughter and I go to a beach vacation once a year. This condo was perfect for us. The security of the building was very good as you only have access to inside the halls with the key fob for your condo. The condo is equipped with everything you need to cook and feel at home. It’s steps from a nice pool and the white beach sand. The complimentary beach loungers are nice too. The restaurants and bars are right across the street if your feeling social too. Highly recommend this condo!!! We will be back!

House of the Sun was amazing. We loved the Condo, the area, and the owners. Donna was so easy to communicate with and the condo was super clean. She went above and beyond to make our stay amazing.

Beautiful accommodations and a fantastic location just steps away from both the beach and restaurants and shops. One very minimal glitch on arrival that was resolved immediately and cheerfully by our host. The condo itself was in excellent condition and fully equipped to accommodate our needs. There are some bars with music right across the street and even though our unit was located close to them, the music could only be faintly heard even on the balcony. Even at that, the music shut down by 10:30 each night. Siesta Key for itself is fairly upscale and the demographics for the most part are pretty mild compared to many other beach towns. That said there are plenty of things to do in the greater Sarasota area. A wonderful three weeks and would not hesitate to recommend a stay at House of the Sun .

Enjoyed the location and easy access. Pool was great. Beach chairs(2)provided. Only bummer was no view of the water from balcony. We are booked for next year!

I’ve been coming to seista key beach for some time and love everything about it. I’ve never had ANY issues with condos I’ve stayed in the past. I tend to stay in sea shell resort, however they were booked since it was a last min trip. I chose this unit for the location. The whole experience was a disaster from the beginning of the booking process till now. I’m being charge for a broken dining room chair that was NOT caused by us (80.00 btw) upon getting to the unit , after I had to email the property owner again on how to get in the unit, I noticed all the rules they have posted on everything! You could not touch the Ac has to be at 72 or it will freeze up and I would be responsible for repairs ! That’s just awful having to worry if it just happens to break your responsible. And the unit is all windows gets pretty warm in there and you can’t turn it down. Also the drawers that hold silverware was gross old dried up food and food stuck to sliver. I felt I had to clean everything before we used it. The DUST is gross on the ceiling hanging, the pictures etc . Also the bathroom vent was hanging and black mold all over!! I will never stay in this unit again nor would I recommend it to anyone!!! Bad bad bad!!!

Really enjoyed our stay. It was the best stocked place we have stayed in. I brought a ton of things like extra paper towels and toilet paper, salt, pepper ect and this unit does not waste what others leave behind,they had it all. Thank you and would definitely book again.

Condo was very well kept and clean with everything you would need for a beach vacation. Location is across from tiki bar with live music nightly. Short drive to the villages. Would come back again and stay!! Host was great with communication.

Loved the location of House of the Sun. Donna was great and made our trip to unit 201 on Siesta Key a great long weekend getaway. Unit was well equipped with everything needed for our stay. Hope to return in the near future.

Donna's property at the House of Sun was accurately described, pristinely clean, and well stocked with the comforts of home. There are zero steps to access the private pool or beach and the private chairs and affordable umbrella rental made for easy beach days! The location cannot be beat as you can walk across the street for a meal, drink, coffee, and more. And you have a front row seat to the most gorgeous sunsets in the US. We can't wait to return!

201 at The House of Sun was perfect for our vacation and exactly as described. We plan to return.

We had a wonderful time & will definitely be back. There are plenty of stores & restaurants in walking distance. The beach is gorgeous! They provide 2 beach chairs per unit & some umbrellas. This unit also had extra chairs & sand toys. The pool had floats & plenty of seating. This unit doesn’t have a beach view, but it’s big & has comfy lounge chairs. The owner was very responsive & easy to work with.
