Beautiful and quiet location on the water and close to gas station and store if needed. Hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had. Definitely a great first experience using VRBO and visiting Toledo Bend.

Beautiful, quiet location. Well equipped with everything you need both inside and out from grill to firepit, towels, kitchen utensils, fish cleaning area, kayaks, washer/dryer, coffee pot and more. Made it easy to move home to home for the week. We remembered reading that there were paddleboards online and were slightly disappointed there were only 4 kayaks so this may have been an update/change in the listing at some point but it didn't ruin our trip. Given the remote location, owner requires you to take trash with you to a local dump spot. We tried to do this within their opening hours and they were closed. Thankfully the owner was flexible with us to leave the trash behind since there was zero room in our car with luggage and 5 kids. Only minor complain was cleanliness of the cabin. Under drawers, beds etc needed some attention. We know it's hard to maintain cleanliness in a remote location like this with all the bugs etc that fly in the second you open the door at night so we didn't expect perfection but perhaps a little more attention to some of those neglected areas would be good.

We had a fantastic time!! Everything was immaculate. Loved the back porch with the rocking chairs and the amazing view! The host was great at communicating. We are definitely looking to make another trip! Loved everything about the house and location.

We love this place! This is our second stay at Holy Toledo & we cannot wait to return! It's an older home but has been renovated & is beautifully decorated. It is located in a small cove but the lake is visible from the deck & the dock. The use of their four kayaks is such a great addition. We take them just out the cove, to a small point to hang out or stay inside the cove and fish. CM2 guide service is great with young adults! We highly recommend them. The kitchen is stocked with most everything you need. The beds are comfy & window coverings make it nice & dark just in case you want to sleep in. BBQ pit was prefect for grilling fajita beef. Fire pit was prefect for roasting smores! Our boys learned how to clean fish at the fish cleaning station. It is a great addition. You can't go wrong staying here! It was such a relaxing vacation with beautiful views. My Heaven on Earth!

This was an adorable house that you can tell they pay special attention to details. It was clean and the location was perfect for our families Mother's Day weekend. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks again for sharing your lovely little slice of heaven. My kids can't quit talking about how much fun they had and when we will get to come back.

We had a great stay. The place was very clean and well kept. The back porch and dock was perfect. We spent the whole weekend fishing, kayaking, and relaxing outside. Definitely want to stay here again.

My pre-trip experience with the host was exceptional. Rainy weather conditions conflicted with the scheduled days we had reserved. The host was gracious enough to move our reservations one day without additional charges and allowed us to successfully enjoy our fishing trip with great weather! The cabin is very functional as everything worked well, comfortable and well decorated. We were a bit disappointed in the lack cleanliness upon arrival (dirty floors and beds) and the fact that all trash generated during your stay had to leave with you - not even a dumpster in the area. Overall experience was good, but for the price, there are other cabins in the area that should be considered.

Great location and great house.

We loved the location on the lake! There are other houses really close but not intrusive. The property feels very much like you’re in a much northern state which I loved. The house is well equipped and maintained and the renter was more than helpful. We will be back for sure!

Enjoyed a quiet few days before the Thanksgiving family chaos! The fish weren’t biting but it was cold and windy. Still had fun throwing the line in the water. We loved the fire pit. Will be back when it warms up!

Was a nice weekend getaway

We had a great weekend at the property! The weather was beautiful and with Fall approaching, the leaves are beginning to turn colors. Absolutely gorgeous!

Water level was low so access to swimming was limited. Very small cove but clean an nice house. Would recommend to 4 people or less.

My family and I only got to enjoy this place for 3 short days but in that short stay we sure made some unforgettable memories that were made possible by the location and amenities.

Fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and lots of laughter.

This was my first time booking a Vrbo & coming to Toledo Bend & I couldn’t have picked a better place! Mrs. Emily is the sweetest person. Everything you see in the pictures is exactly how it looks in person, if not better. It’s located close to a boat launch and near other coves to go fishing down. Overall, would book this place again!

Went for just a few nights. Cottage was spacious. Dock was peaceful especially watching sunsets. The cove that it was on was clean and water suitable for swimming and fishing. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay!

Wonderful home and property! John and I enjoyed our stay and hope to return again. Highly recommend to any couple or family as this place is geared to all with lots of fun to be had!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Holy Toledo! It’s clean, cute, and makes the perfect weekend getaway for relaxing weekend. Hosts are great! We’ll be back next year!

The cottage lake house decor is very cute and made for a relaxing atmosphere! However, there were a few things we weren’t comfortable with and the owner was very kind and quick to handle any needs. The interior of the cottage was fairly clean. The windows were quite dirty.. spider webs and the outside of the window were mildewed. Seemed like the cottage needed spring cleaning. One shower floor was cracked. Owner said it wasn’t leaking but we weren’t comfortable using it. The other bathroom had a strong sewage smell. The owner had someone to repair the sewage tank pump right after I spoke to her. The cottage is quite aways from town and the roads were in need of repair. Therefore we didn’t make any quick trips to the store or restaurants.
