Thank you for a lovely welcome cheese, the cleanest home and the best stocked kitchen w toolls, spices, cookware and coffee. The hot tub was amazing for post hikes! Hope to return sooner rather than later!

Traveled to Point Reyes area with long time friends and my daughter. We found the house so welcoming. We spent quality time in conversation, sharing simple meals and playing cards. By day we discovered surrounding vistas, walks and food. Great stay, so peaceful.

So enjoyable, great location and sparkling clean. We loved hiking in the area, returning to your hot tub in the evening and being able to walk into town for a coffee or dinner.

This was such a lovely place-clean, beautifully decorated with everything we needed. The host was responsive and helpful when we had questions. Walking distance to Pt. Reyes Station. Really enjoyed our stay.

We can always depend on the Lavender Cottage as a lovely place to stay in Point Reyes Station. It was only 2 of us this trip, however there is ample room for another couple to share the cottage. And a desk that is large enough to do puzzling together! We love being able to get up early and go to Tomales Point to see the Elk before the crowds push them further out from sight. Also ate at the new Station House Cafe and Hog Island and both were delicious! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful property, Eileen and Martin!

Every detail is anticipated, the furnishings are elegant, the kitchen is stocked to an exactly standard, the garden is serene, and the location is perfect within Point Reyes Village. Easy communication with the owner whose instructions are helpful and anticipate every question. This is our 4th or 5th stay and we highly recommend.

Gorgeous and impeccably maintained cottage. Pretty gardens, comfortable bed, cozy sitting rooms, well appointed kitchen. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Walked a couple of blocks to the delicious bakery in the morning, and to restaurants and shops in the afternoon. Great home base for hiking and exploring the area. Hope to return!

Lavender House was a delightful spot for home base for our family of five (kids 13, 10, 7) to explore the area over our recent Fall Break. Eileen and Martin offered many wonderful recommendations for restaurants and activities that we might enjoy. Communication was easy and they had a binder that included everything we may need to know about the home right at our fingertips. The beds were so comfortable and the home included anything that we may need to make our stay comfortable (fluffy towels, plenty of paper products, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, etc). We enjoyed preparing several meals at home and found nothing lacking in the kitchen. The brie and crackers that welcomed us when we arrived were a lovely surprise. The outdoor space is beautiful. It was a perfect spot to enjoy coffee in the mornings or an evening pre-dinner drink. Our children were grateful for some space to move about as well. The home was an easy walk to several restaurants and bakeries, as well as a small grocery store and a farmer market on Saturday morning. We would most definitely stay here again and are glad that Eileen and Martin share their space with visitors to the area!

One of the best appointed places we have stayed in. Kitchen had everything we needed. Even the knives were sharp! Lovely hot tub with robes provided. Overall, an excellent experience. Travelers should be forewarned that the host requires a $500.00 refundable check to be left on the property in case of damage.

This cottage has to be the best vrbo experience I've ever had. It was better than the pictures! It was beyond clean too. The beds were comfortable, the decor was homey, the kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need, the binder had information clearly written to answer any questions you might have and several highlights of the area. The property was private and beautifully landscaped. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our visit. My grandson thought it would be a perfect place for me to live!!

Eileen’s home is spacious and well equipped, with comfortable beds and a lovely outdoor patio. It is very conveniently situated to allow all that Point Reyes has to offer.

Lavender house is an absolutely lovely getaway. The backyard is a special retreat and the house has everything you need. It’s a magical place we return to year after year.

Our stay was for a wedding weekend in the area and it was delightful from the place (cozy chic) to communication both before and during our stay. My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this attractive and comfortable home in Point Reyes. The gardens in the front and back of the home were thoughtfully designed with flowering native plants that attracted a wide array of birds, including California Quail, CA.Towhee and Spotted Towhee. It was lovely just to sit on the back patio with a cup of tea, a good book from Point Reyes Books, (the wonderful,very well curated local bookstore) and the cool ocean breezes. We look forward to returning again!

We have been staying at Lavender Cottage with our family for years. We love the location (walking distance to the little town of Point Reyes Station), the cleanliness of the home, and the charming little backyard with a table for summer meals and a hot tub. Eileen and Martin are the consummate hosts - they really have thought of everything their guests might need for a comfortable stay. With hikes and beaches and good food nearby we never run out of things to do. There's a great little grocery store (Palace Market) nearby - you'll pay a little extra for the convenience but the quality of the groceries is tops and the Lavender Cottage kitchen is fully stocked and ready for cooking.

The Lavender Cottage surpassed all expectations. It was tastefully decorated, thoughtfully stocked and impressively clean.

Terrific location for exploring the Pt Reyes area. Also two minute walk into town. Rental was clean and well appointed.

Our stay was magnificent! The home was clean and had all the comforts of home! The location was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This is our second time staying at Lavender Cottage and we loved coming back to a comfortable, kept and inviting space. My kids call it "hot tub city". We enjoy exploring and returning to our favorite Bovine Bakery and local area shops as well as dining al fresco in the backyard and deck. Eileen is a great hostess and communicated all we needed to know to get settled in.

This old house is spotlessly maintained and comfortably furnished. The gardens in front and back are lovely. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided, from the kitchen with its good selection of cookware and basic food items for cooking, to a large and thoughtful selection of books ranging from novels, to works of philosophy to excellent guidebooks about local history, flora and fauna. (Plus some good DVDs!) All this in a quiet location and a very short walk to Point Reyes Station's small but interesting (3 blocks long) shopping district. Our host was always available to answer questions and provide information on where to go and what to see in this gorgeous region of coastal California.
