Absolutely beautiful home with amazing details from ceilings to statues and fixtures. Very clean and plenty of supplies. Manuel takes care of the grounds and pool daily so it’s always clean. The view from the patio and pool is amazing and we enjoyed that much better than the Tamarindo beach. The road is interesting but our car handled it fine and we had some good laughs when it got a little bumpy. There wasn’t a coffee machine and when I let them know someone showed up promptly with one. Very good service. Highly recommend

The house is in impeccable condition and furnished with great taste and attention to detail. The view from the terrace and the infinity pool to the beach and the sea is unique. The sunsets were fantastic. Checkin and checkout worked without any problems. We would come here again at any time.

Only house or hotel I've rented where the place is better than the pictures! Beautiful property, the view far better than presented. Fabulously decorated in Costa Rican style. As discussed in other reviews the last 200 yards of the drive is a steep dirt road, but we had zero challenges even when wet. Safe, has driveway gate and security alarm. highly responsive property manager. Conveniently located. Would stay here again.

We had a great week at the property and the view from the terrace is absolutely stunning. The uphill drive to the property is a little rough but it’s all worth it once you enter the room. The property is well maintained and we were pleasantly surprised by the mid week cleaning service. The only two slight flaws were: 1) the primary communication with the property manager was through emails and we wished they would have used vrbo messages more for convenience, 2) the hot water runs out quickly and it might be a problem for people who like taking hot and long showers. Other than that, everything couldn’t have been more perfect.

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed Casa Pipilacha! Getting up and down the hill and into town presented a unique set of challenges that we had not anticipated, but made for some interesting adventures! The house itself was incredible; pictures do not do it justice. Construction details throughout the home were luxurious, the floorplan was comfortable, and the view spectacular. A prior review referenced noise from the nearby hotel, and I have to say the music was off at 8:00 every night. Considering the property’s proximity to Tamarindo, I found this location to be very relaxing overall, so much so that we can’t wait to return. I could stay there forever! We also had a very good experience with the management company and housekeeper.

The house was beautiful with an amazing view we couldn’t get enough of! We didn’t realize how high up the home truly was so leaving required a taxi every time but was still worth it to wake up to the view everyday! We had some issues with the sound system and security system that took a while to resolve so I think clearer instructions for guests would be very helpful, but otherwise the property manager was helpful in addressing the issues.Would recommend and stay again!

We loved casa pipilacha!!! Beautiful house and beautiful view, very close to the beach.

We absolutely loved this house. We were a group of friends traveling for vacation, and we couldn’t have asked for a better house to explore tamarindo. The only negative aspect to the house is the hill it’s on. Golf carts can’t get up it and walking up is quite the workout. We spent quite a bit on taxis because of this. Otherwise, the house was amazing and the hosts were very communicative. Definitely recommend this house as long as you know what you’re getting into with the steep hill!

Our experience was Stellar! Perfect layout for two adult couples with two master suites at opposite ends of the house. The casita and pool were excellent! We spent the majority of our time on and in the pool area. It has one of the best views I have ever experienced from a private residence. One thing that MUST happen soon: please please trim the tops of the trees/bushes in front of the pool. It is currently blocking about 25% of that SPECTULAR view. Other than that easily fixed issue it rates a perfect 5/5. That’s the first perfect score I have ever given. I travel for a living. Bonus notes:DO NOT rent an electric golf cart to go to and from the house. The hill is too much for it. You need a car or for more fun rent a gas UTV. Fishing was great. Beaches great. Happy hours were great but the best view in town was at the house!! D

We were scheduled to stay at this beautiful home for four nights but only stayed for one due to pandemic and need to get home. The house was absolutely breathtaking. We hope to be fortunate enough to return some day.

This house is amazing. Watching the sunset everyday with a view of the ocean was just unreal.

This property is really something else. We found it ideal for 2 couples, as the bedrooms are located on the far ends of each side of the house giving you privacy if wanted. What sets this house apart is the STUNNING views of the coastline and nightly sunsets. We found ourselves daily awaiting the next masterpiece that would light up the sky and provide an hour or so of incredible views while we sipped cocktails from our own private infinity pool. The house is very secure with an automated security gate when you arrive and all of the amenities of back home (kitchen items, internet and TV) made us feel relaxed as we had everything we needed. The one thing I did want to point out to any potential renters is the need for a rental vehicle if you are staying here. The curvy and rocky (actually just loose gravel) road off the main street to this location is steep and not something you would want to walk up or down, especially at night. We wanted a vehicle as we were there to explore (we had 4wd as well which is a big plus), but I would definitely recommend you have your own transportation when staying here. Tricky to turn your vehicle around the first couple times parking at this house too. But overall, we loved it and would go here again in a second. Also, the property management team (RPM) has great recommendations for onsite services such as in house catering and massage services. This is a property not to be missed, and definitely was a private eden for us during our adventures in Tamarindo. Be sure it is in the mix of final options when you are selecting your vacation getaway, it is a great choice!!

We had a wonderful stay here at Casa Pipilacha. The house and it’s finishings are very unique. We had 4 teenagers and 2 adults, and found there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. My favorite part of the house I would have to say is the porch, so many beautiful moments there looking at either the sea, lightening storms or Pipilacha swarms! I can’t wait to come back!
