Our stay at Custer Camp was wonderful. The grounds were beautiful and the home is equally nice.The fishing pond was a huge hit and provided many hours of entertainment for our teenage son.

Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property - the amenities (pool table, pond/fishing, and firepit), location and cleanliness. It was always a sanctuary to retreat to after busy days of seeing the sights around the Black Hills. We will definitely stay again on future visits.

Such a relaxing stay in a beautiful area. The property and home is absolutely beautiful. 30 minute drive or so to Rapid City which has restaurants and grocery stores. The hosts were terrific and available if needed, and the bottle of wine upon arrival was such a thoughtful addition to an overall great stay!

The host was a pleasure to be around, and the place is beautiful. It was a great location to use as a home base and see all of the attractions in the Black Hills. We will try to get back to this location soon.

This VRBO stands apart of others places I have stayed because of the kindness of the hosts. They are so friendly and let us have access to their 41 acre property that included a pond full of fishes. They even provide the fishing poles and some bait. To top things off Margaret brought us fresh baked brownies. This is a definite recommend for families.

Couldn't have asked for a better property, location, or hosts! From the property, Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore 45-60min drive, Wonderland Cave 5-min, Rapid City 40-45min, Spearfish about an hour. Beautiful drives too - Very curvy, hilly but truly remarkable countryside. If you're coming out for the hiking, ask them about nearby Rock Maze - Fun, unique and devoid of other people. Owners were absolutely splendid, friendly and accommodating. They were available for providing recommendations and happy to have us and our 10 and 6 year old running around their truly gigantic property, but stayed out of our way and easy to maintain privacy. When we did see them, they were a pleasure to be around. The unit is the first floor built into a hillside and completely separate from the owner's unit on the 2nd floor. Separate bedroom and kitchen, bath includes jetted tub, separate shower and toilet areas. Appliances and finishes were all updated, modern, clean, and lots of attention to detail for making you feel at home, but still maintains lots of charm with décor. Trout pond is yours to enjoy and includes a large covered seating area - About a 2-min walk down the hill from the unit. Outdoor hot tub very clean and modern. Hammock, outdoor seating adjacent to unit, gas grills, etc. Lovely birds singing and visiting the feeders, but very quiet and serene at night. Dog and three cats on property are friendly but will leave you alone if you want too. You won't be disappointed!

This property was much better than expected. The listing pictures were on-point and the accommodations were comfortable and spotless. The pool table was great, and the fishing pond was outstanding. The natural surroundings were beautiful. The owners were wonderful people, and we would love to repeat a stay with them.

Margaret and Derito were amazing hosts! It was very private but they were there if needed. They even left us a bottle of wine and made brownies! This was a great place to stay with a family of all ages. The place was as nice as it looked online, the pond was super fun for my young kids, and the hosts’ hospitality was truly great! They cooked up the fish my son caught and made treats for my kids which was above and beyond. Highly recommended place for a family with kids.

We feel blessed to be able to share such a beautiful location and home. The Bocelli’s are truly the salt of the earth. From the moment we met we were treated like family. They are not intrusive in anyway but are there whenever you need them. The description of the property is spot on. The cleanliness was impeccable. Communication was flawless, and Margaret went above and beyond to work with us through some changing schedules. The quiet of nature surrounds this place with deer and elk visits daily. The trout pond was exciting to fish and Derito was so gracious to smoke one for us. It was outstanding!! We love the decor, and a well-stocked kitchen. The bathroom was spacious, the pool table was a bonus, and thankfully a much appreciated washer and dryer. The bedroom is truly that, a room full of beds! The mattress was comfortable, with enough room to change if you needed privacy. I have booked many VRBOs, but have never had one that had a private “high end” grill and a smoker available to use. They also provided a great outdoor sitting and dining space. The hot tub looked clean and awesome although we didn’t partake. Property is close to anything you want to see in the Black Hills, but really it was just as exciting to get back to enjoy nature. Custer Camp is truly the place to be. If you are looking for a place to call home for your vacation, book early, you will not regret it.

Owners were very friendly. Derito greeted us upon check-in and made us feel welcome and right at home. Cabin was very clean and modern. Stay was excellent. Place was fantastic. Can't wait to come back!!!

My husband and I both run businesses and just need a short getaway. We were there in February and didn't spend much time outside but we didn't care because the apartment was lovely. Margaret & Derito are such a delight.

This was such a lovely place, beautiful surroundings, the accommodations were perfect and so we’ll appointed to give you cozy mountain cabin feel. We loved fishing in the trout pond and enjoyed delicious smoked trout for dinner one night!

You will be hard pressed to find a listing with owners as amazing as this one. Margaret and Derito are truly wonderful people. Our stay was perfect from the moment we arrived to the time we sadly had to leave. We all wanted to stay longer! Fantastic views, lots of wildlife, excellent hosts, and the prefect home made our weekend unforgettable. We will be back!

It's a bit remote but the property is gorgeous. Cabin is very comfortable. The things worth noting, there was a bottle of wine awaiting us when we checked in, we were brought tiramisu, the shower and water pressure were amazing, the beds were wonderful........overall it was a great stay.

Property was not exclusive. Had people upstairs. Fortunately there were just 2 of us, 8 people should not sleep in one room.

We had a great time in South Dakota. The property was exactly as described, clean and beautiful!

What wonderful property and owners, we didn't want to leave. The house was beautiful as was the property (for taking walks) the patio right outside the doors, the pond with a lounging area was awesome! And the hotub, it was the cleanest and nicest one I have ever been in. The house was spotlessly clean and organized. The bedroom is larger than in the pictures and all the bunkbeds were queens, it slept 5 of us and we were very comfortable. The bathroom was awesome and we really appreciated the huge hottub towels they provided!!!

We had a wonderful stay! Such relaxing accommodations and the hosts are amazing. Kids got a hug kick out of the trout pond. Feeding them was just as much fun as catching one. Just sitting outside listening to the river they created next to the cabin made me never want to leave. If we come back to the hills definitely know we're we will stay!!

What a neat place that is perfectly maintained and cleaned. Great owners. Nice amenities. relatively small for our family of 6 but worked just fine. Trout pond is full of fish. Would recommend to most anyone.

We absolutely loved the Trout Pond VRBO! It was exactly what our family needed to start our mornings and end our days after seeing the sites. The hosts welcomed us like family. We especially loved the trout pond, hot tub, hammock, jaccuzi tub and pool table. It was the perfect vacation spot to come home to for our family.

This was the most beautiful location that a person could ask for. The property owners were just Fabulous. A person could not ask for more.

We loved staying in Nemo. Margaret and her husband were great hosts. The location was perfect and we had all the comforts of home . We were able to go all over western SD and return to a quiet location. We will definitely look up this location again if we can return to SD.
