This house was exactly what we were looking for. It is located on a quiet street, had an abundant of beds/bed rooms, and more than enough space for almost a dozen people to not feel cramped. The house, especially the bathrooms were clean, and filled with fresh/never opened knick knacks that friends may have forgotten to bring. Our hosts were readily available to answer any questions we had leading up to, or during our stay. One piece of advice to guests. We were always able to get an Uber where we were going, but wait times can be long, prepare for such in advance!! Thank you!

I rented this house for my sisters bachelorette weekend. This ended up being the perfect house for a large group of girls. The house is gorgeous and spacious with so much to do. The hosts are quick to respond with any questions and are extremely helpful. They supply you with everything you need at the house. The private lake was amazing and we enjoyed using the paddle boat to cruise around the lake. I highly recommend staying here. My whole group had a blast.

It is well-maintained, full of amenities and entertainments, and perfectly suited for a reunion of friends, bachelor party, or other get together. The thing that truly sets this property apart, however, is the attentiveness and responsiveness of the host. Masha is wonderful and goes out of her way to make every phase of the rental process run smoothly. Check-in and check-out were easy, with flexible arrival and departure times to meet the group's needs. Masha thoroughly inspected the property before the group's arrival to make sure that everything was ready for the visit, leaving a gift for the guest of honor and offering courtesy firewood for the fire pit. Later, she even found a wallet that one guest had lost outside the property and mailed it back free of charge. I cannot recommend this property enough. 5 stars!

My friends and I had a great long weekend in the Poconos. The house was large and spacious, with a lot of options for activities. The house could have been a bit cleaner, but the overall experience was good.

Well equipped place on a very good location

This was the second time my group and I booked Masha’s home because we enjoyed it so much the first time. Black Bear House was one of, if not the best VRBO experiences I have ever had. The place is absolutely stunning. The pictures look great, but it doesn't do justice compared to in person! The interior is beautiful with high ceilings and our group really appreciated the large open area for everyone to hang out. The layout is perfect and we loved the room set up and appreciated the linens and amenities provided! Oversized wrap around deck with many seating areas. Outdoor area is simply amazing: HUGE lawn that we utilized as our cricket field and our croquet field and our soccer field etc. Almost forgot the best part - we were allowed to put a TENT for our teens to sleep at. The fire pit is a great spot to sit and relax at night or really any time! The instructions were simple yet detailed. Every question we had along the way Masha was quick to respond and was always a pleasure to speak with. The location is also close to several hiking spots that we enjoyed! We couldn't have asked for a better location, we had privacy but was also convenient if we needed to go to the store. Overall a great experience. 10/10! Would definitely book again!

This place is AMAZING! Honestly it is even bigger than it looks on the photos (HUGE deck & HUGE resort-like grounds included). The living room is massive. There are really big windows too so it fills with the natural light during the day and you can see the stars/moon at night. I had a surprise birthday gathering for my girlfriend and our close friends and everyone was raving how awesome the place was. Masha was a great host and was quick to answer any questions we had. The property is on a main road so it is accessible and super easy to find but it still feel very secluded because its surrounded by trees. Lots of PRIVACY. Very FUN property to stay at! This was the best Pocono trip our friends have had!

Absolutely loved this modern yet rustic chalet with a mid-century vibe. It's even nicer than the pictures. There's a large great room that's perfect for everyone. The owners are incredibly kind, helpful and very responsive. The house had nice little touches and everything you could possibly need. Would recommend and stay here again.

My roommates and I rented this space out for a long weekend. The cabin is gorgeous, it's full of everything we needed. The skiing nearby is great and we had a great time playing pool, shooting darts, and making dinner. Masha handled the communications with us and make sure we knew everything and had everything we needed. We'd absolutely rent it again - totally recommend.

We had a great stay. The house was beautiful. Perfect size for all 10 of us. Very clean. Owners made sure you had all the amenities you could possibly need. Location was good for skiing and skirmish. Great fire pit. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic time and well worth the money. Hosts were very accomadating and generous to any of our needs and wants. Hopefully will be returning in a year for another bachelor. 10 out of 10 for sure and I would recommend this house for any body that would like a great stay in the area.

If you are looking for opportunities to make memories and to have fun with family and/or friends, the Black Bear House and it’s welcoming and attentive hosts offer you a beautiful and well-equipped property to be your home away from home! Our family, including our grandchildren and our children and their spouses, were all very sorry to have to leave after a six day visit as we thoroughly enjoyed the house’s many amenities (too numerous to outline) as well as the community lake ( a short 1/2 block from the house), the yard’s great hammock and lawn for croquet (provided), and the many beautiful hiking trails and the unique Boulder Field in nearby Hickory Run State Park. We felt like we had all the “comforts of home” available to us within the house during our stay to entertain ourselves (pool, darts, games, puzzles, and internet connections) and we enjoyed preparing and sharing meals together both indoors and outdoors ... always finding the utensils and basic supplies we needed to do so. I could go on, but suffice it to say I am doubtful there could be more welcoming hosts and we hope to return one day for round two of our great family vacation in PA❣️
