The place was super clean with more space than we needed for the 10 in our family. I love that elevators weren’t necessary. I want to stay there again if I ever get our whole family together again.

This condo has the best view! It is very spacious and was perfect for our large family. The beds and couch were all very comfortable and x-large balcony for all to enjoy. We absolutely loved this condo and will stay again.

The unit was very good and Rick - owner was very helpful with an issue we were faced with the main door lock- very quick service with the locksmith. We enjoyed the hot tub, lazy river pools and Rick’s restaurant next door a few steps from our unit. Folks this is a very large unit and huge terrace !!

The property is perfect!! It is a great location from everything. You have boat rentals right next door, the beach, the pool, the lazy river, the Pier and Boardwalk and not far from the Harborwalk. We saw dolphins right off of our balcony. It was a great vacation and awesome place to stay.

We always stay oceanfront and it was the first time we stayed on the bay. It was an amazing place with lots of room & the balcony was huge, & there were amazing sunsets! Rick Restaurant next door was great too! We really enjoyed our stay & can’t wait to go back!!!

Property is just as described. Had a minor issue that Rick was able to address quickly and efficiently. Great communication and look forward to our next stay at Destin West!

We travel to Destin area at least once a year. This was by far our best experience.

Beautiful place to stay!

We had a great time. The pool area and proximity to the beach was great. We stayed in early Nov and there was often few if any people at the main pool area. The grounds are in great shape and the pools are heated at very nice/high tempatures. The unit is nice and updated. We really enjoyed it. The only two issues we had were the floors are dirty and your feet turn black quickly due to the owner not mopping the floors. In addition, he send us an email two days before we showed up saying various parts on the hot tub do not work due to damaged caused by a guest in March 2021 and he was fixing them ASAP ( we stayed in Nov 2021). Half the jets in the hot tub don't work, which was fine with us. Not a big deal. We just really hated that email 2 days before we showed up and it was not clear in the email what was all wrong with the hot tub ( we booked the place because of the private hot tub so we were about to try and cancel since he never disclosed the hot tub issues upfront). Fix the hot tub and mop the floors and it would be 5 stars, both seems like easy fixes especially for what he charges for cleaning/ nightly rate. With that said, we really had a great time and would recommend the unit.

it was everything I expected with a few minor housekeeping issues but plenty of room, great location, very updated with awesome private hot tub and huge lanai and the owner was very responsive and helpful...

4th trip to this unit and all have been a great experience.

Overall unit was in excellent condition. Ac worked well after we Cleaned the filter. Very nice unit.

We had a few issues when we arrived at the condo with a few items that didn’t work and some missing wash clothes and bath soap.

We had a great time and the property was perfect! Everyone had plenty of room to spread out in the condo and on the massive patio. We used the grill to fix a couple of meals and had a great time watching the boats and dolphins right off the patio in the bay. Rick is an excellent host and very responsive. I would highly recommend this property if you want to be close to everything, have plenty of room, and want an awesome view! We will be back for sure.

Everything was great except air wasn’t working on side of house by kitchen after two days. I should of called maintenance but we kept thinking it would start working.

We stayed here with our 6 children ages 11,9,7,5,3 and 1, and my parents. It was absolutely perfect for us! The room itself was amazing. So much space and plenty of beds/bathrooms for everyone! The kitchen was well stocked with supplies for the week. The patio is huge and is awesome to have! The kids could be outside but we’re still “contained”. The view was amazing-we even had a dolphin come within 100 feet of our porch one morning! We loved having our own private hot tub, too! The wagon in the garage was broke when we arrived-but we had someone deliver a brand new one to us. We loved the privacy of this unit. We were kind of in our own corner-but still just a short walk to the beach and the pool! If and when we return we definitely will try to stay at this unit again!

This condo had comfortable rooms and a great view of the bay. Steps away from the pool area and a 5 minute walk to the beach. I cant think of anything the place was lacking. Great place for a large family.

And the hot tub by day 4 had a low water level and a sulfur smell. When the owner was notified, he stated that the hot tub was serviced inbetween guest stays and nothing would be done to rectify our concern. And in fact I was told not to run the jets because it might damage the hot tub. We had no resolution to this. Overall, Ft Walton Beach as a community is probably best described as a cheap version of Destin. Not a lot to do there. But the resort itself is decent

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Heron L-01 property. This place is so spacious. We all had plenty of room and it felt very cozy. The view of the bay was breathtaking, especially while in the hot tub. Communication with property owner was so easy too. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again for a future trip to Destin.

Very good, very nice condo , great view

My family of four (me, husband, children (ages 2 and 7)), my brother's family (him, his wife and children (ages 3 and 5)) and my parents all stayed in this condo together. It was absolutely perfect for all of us. Each couple had their own room and their was plenty of room to put the pack and play for the two little ones. We enjoyed the large deck and meeting spaces every morning and evening. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub on the deck for when they didn't have the energy to go to the pool or beach. The only downside to this condo was that it is quite a walk to the beach. However, totally doable and once we got one of the beach wagons, the trip was much more bearable. We are entirely satisified with our stay and would highly recommend it!

Incredible views! Large enough for 2-3 families. Accessible to bay and beach. Definitely will stay here again!

Perfectly located right on the waters edge with amazing views. Lots of beautiful birds to watch and we even had stingrays visit a few times. The white sandy beaches are a short walk and the crossover is situated right at the property. There are also some nice restaurants right across the street that have amazing views of the beach and water.The condo is spacious and nicely furnished. The beds are extremely comfortable to the point that I wanted to buy one. The kitchen had plenty of amenities from top quality GE appliances and a nice assortment of dishes, glasses, pots and pans and gadgets. The heated pools were very much appreciated since the weather was in the 50s and what a nice assortment of them to choose from. The patio is huge and there is plenty of seating and a grill for cooking. Just wish it had been warmer so that we could have enjoyed it more. It was very inviting though.I would definitely recommend this property. I would also recommend arriving in daylight. We arrived after dark and things got a bit tricky finding first the building with the lockbox with info and then finding the property where the condo was. Our door code did not work initially, but we were able to connect with agent who gave us a new one in a fairly short time. All in all I would definitely like to revisit this property.

We had a beautiful time at this gorgeous property!! So scenic and quiet this time of year. We were blessed to be together for the holiday that expresses how grateful we are for eachother. The condo had everything you would need to be away from home...and so very comfortable!

A little mixup at check in, but the owner responded very quickly and resolved all issues. He was great to work with. The unit was fabulous, just as advertised. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and it was cold, windy, and rainy so we only got to use the hot tub once and the grill not at all. The women of our group all enjoyed the lazy river and pools, the one time they were able to use them (due to weather). bridge over the highway makes getting to beach and exercise room really easy. Will definitely look for this unit next time we go to panhandle area. David

Our multi family Fall break was spent in this lovely unit. It had all the amenities and so much more room than we imagined. We were at Max occupancy with 12 and everyone had their own space. Not one complaint of being crowded. The kitchen is a dream as well as the master bedroom and bathroom. Highly recommend to any

We had a great week-beautiful property-we-ll be going back for Jan. and Feb. Only thing that would help during check-in is a map of the property. It is a couple of big buildings and we wandered around for a while before we found our rental.

This condo is AMAZING!! There is tons of room, so if you have a large family you will not be cramped at all. The balcony is huge and you have your own private hot tub, which we just turned down the heat, so even though it was 90+ degrees outside in the afternoon, getting in the tub felt like bath water and was still refreshing and you did not have to fight the people and kids at the pool. The garage is stocked with everything you need for a day at the beach also. Several Umbrellas, chairs, and carts plus toys for the kiddos if you need them. This saves you from having to haul all of that with you if you are driving. There is a short walk to the beach, but it's not bad and there is a bridge that goes across the highway (thank you Jesus because that traffic is horrendous!!). This is a corner unit, so it's very quiet..you don't hear people coming or going. The kitchen is to die for and has everything you need. Plenty of dishes, pots, pans, utensils...I've rented condos before that barely had anything to use...not the case here. Any questions I had were promptly answered by Rick and he communicated every detail with us in regards to check in, check out, etc. If you rent this condo, you will not be disappointed I can guarantee it!

It was a wonderful experience . We loved loved the location and the views of the bay . The hot tub was a lot of fun . We will be back !
