Great place to stay . Just wish we had a little more privacy and cold temperatures up on the pool . To cold unless it’s 90 degrees outside

The house was amazing with breathtaking views in every direction. The house was very clean and spacious. It was centrally located on Maui, so convenient to anywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks in Maui, thanks in large part to the quality of our accommodations. With a wonderful in-ground pool and easy beach access, this place is fantastic! While mostly perfect, there were a couple of very minor issues during our stay, and management was right on top of them. Things were taken care of same day. We look forward to returning to Maui and hope Halama Hale House will be available then. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This property is well maintained by highly competent people. When the power went out during a storm, there were already flashlights in each of the bedrooms. Home had all the amenities and was extremely well organized. The CB team was very responsive and thorough. The Internet was solid. Property is walking distance to food and shopping. Marvelous variety of wildlife on the property, including a mascot dove that would visit us each day. I also recommend you visit nearby 808 Wellness for an excellent massage by Mary. Miso Phat sushi is across the street and go a little early because they are popular, for good reason.

First, check in was simple and dealing with the Coldwell Banker team was easy. They were responsive, friendly, and got back to me quickly when issues came up. The house is in a great location, has a very picturesque yard that's lined with palm trees and has easy access to a beach. It's a great place to watch the sunset. Parking and access are easy. However, I didn't feel like our stay was worth what we paid, which was over $3k per night. There were a number of items around the house that wouldn't require much investment to fix. At that price, it's a luxury property and things are definitely missing the mark. - Not enough hooks in the bathrooms for towels so you throw them on the floor and they need to be washed. There was 1 hook in a bathroom that is supposed to service 8 people. Also, there are 2 bathrooms in a house that sleeps 14. - Bedroom doors do not lock for privacy. The lock on the half bath downstairs is also broken and doesn't latch so people can walk in on you in the bathroom (and this happened!) - Shades in the master bedroom were broken- Kitchen dining seats 4. Outside seats 8. Living room seats 6. House sleeps 14. There is not nearly enough room to comfortably seat people if even half of the group wants to eat inside or watch a movie together- The seating in the living room wasn't very comfortable- Toaster was broken (they replaced it next day). Outlet in kitchen didn't work. Blender was old - buttons stick and it couldn't crush ice. Dishwasher child lock was on. Ice maker wasn't on so we didn't have any ice on arrival. Shelves in the fridge were broken. - There was very little to store any cooked food in. They also only left salt/pepper in the kitchen and no other condiments like oil or cooking spray. I loved the property, but it needs some investment and maintenance to justify such a high cost.

The view and beach access are superb. The house was well stocked with kitchen utensils and tableware. There were enough beds for everyone. The key issues were airflow and A/C. While asking us not to run the units until nighttime did not allow for a cool stay, we did try to follow that. However, with people taking naps and a baby requiring a different sleep schedule it was impossible to be comfortable inside unless the air condition was running in the bedrooms. Only one of the 4 A/C units worked consistently. It took about 2 hours to properly cool a room down once they were turned on. We did try to contact management but because of traveling and activities could not arrange a maintenance visit. Also, the fans in the living room were so wobbly and noisy we were afraid they were going to fall on our heads. The ones in the kitchen cannot be adjusted so they barely functioned. The lighting was dim in living area and kitchen. Do not plan to play games or do puzzles. Not all windows had screens and after trying to cool the house off, our little 1 year old grandson actually stepped on a bee that was in his room! We took out the garbage daily and cleaned the counters. There were still ants in the kitchen, two of the bedrooms and a cockroach in the bathroom. One shower had no water pressure and one was so small you could not open the shower door without flooding the whole bathroom when entering. Directions for entry were not clear or concise and we were not provided with an entry code for the actual property. It took 15 minutes of walking around and finally calling to actually get the code for the gate to the house. Overall, we still had a wonderful time (It’s Hawaii and we were together!) and loved the yard and pool area. We realize the house is not equipped with all modern conveniences but for the price we paid we expected a more comfortable experience. As much as we loved being by the ocean and beach, we could not recommend this location without disclaimers.

Shade from palm trees and the covered patio made for protected (from sunburns) outdoor lounging Lots of beach towels, lawn chairs, water and lawn games. Also felt very secure in gated community. Kitchen well equipped with plates, glasses and flatware. So enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

There are turtles swimming only a few feet off the shoreline. There are tons a lawn games to entertain kids and adults of all ages.

We enjoyed the amenities - the pool, all the utensils and equipment in the kitchen, the barbecuer, the washer and dryer, laundry soap, and TV. But for the price we pay, we expected that the basic supplies of shampoo, conditioner, and bar soaps should at least be included. We stayed at a house on Orca Island in Washington with complete with quality shampoo, conditioner and locations available for our use. Also, the kids found that the bathroom downstairs did not have hot water. The burner on the right stove does not light properly and gave a big boom once and just smelled of gas on two other occasions. One of the barbecue igniter is not working, the third one from the left. Two rooms were dusty. We would have appreciated if a vacuum cleaner and a mop was left on site so that we could clean up the place ourselves. With young children, going in and out of the house, keeping it clean is easier with the right tools. Two rooms were dusty.

We loved it from the open cupboards on one side of the kitchen to the well-sealed old hardwood floors on the upper two floors. The main lanai, which was covered, had a big family-sized table where we enjoyed our meals and the view. The expansive palm covered property was a beautiful foreground for the rosy orange Maui sunsets and the sandy beach where we could collect shells and coral. We walked the beach with coffee in hand, swam and paddle-boarded beyond dozens of times and then rinsed off in the lovely, warm outdoor shower. The pool was a perfect size and a nice place for a different kind of refreshing dip. Our 5 little people loved looking for the little geckos off the back lanai overlooking the scented gardens. They had many hours of searching fun. Homeowners Shelly and Steve have made their home so family friendly we hated to say goodbye, but we have take away oodles of fantastic and restorative family memories.

We played badminton, volleyball, softball, frisbee and the kids ran and played rag etc. then the beach was so amazing. Like you Gas your own private beach. We saw a turtle several times resting up on the sand. The entire atmosphere was perfect and the trip of a lifetime.

Location, location, location! This property is ideally situated with a wonderful grassy area that leads right into an accessible beach and ocean entrance - ideal for an easygoing family vacation. We were a short drive to Wailea and other sandier beaches, which we really enjoyed! Lots of space in the dining, living and outdoor areas for the family to be together for meals and downtime. The bathrooms and bedrooms are somewhat basic, but worked for our needs and had no issues! Anthony is the groundskeeper and is friendly and responsive. The CB Island team was great with communication!

Great location for turtle viewing all day and. Easy access to take paddle boards out in the morning. Close to grocery stores and food trucks, great restaurants nearby.

The house was charming, clean and well stocked. It met our needs perfectly as each of the main bedrooms had a bathroom for each of our 3 families plus a room for kids. The pool was great. Loved dining outside. Perfect grassy area before the ocean that had a sandy beach. Nightly viewing of sea turtles coming on shore to rest! Great memories.

Sunset and morning setting moon provided mesmerizing vistas across the ocean.

One suggestion: We would have appreciated a greater assortment of cooking supplies as things as basic as a sheet pan and casserole dish were not stocked.
