It was a great place. Everything was clean, and up to date. It had everything I needed in the kitchen to cook, and a nice big back yard, bigger than the photos suggest. I saw one of Brevard's famous white squirrels there! The one small hiccup we had was handled quickly and professionally by the owner. The one puzzling thing, is that this was advertised as a 3 bedroom, but the third bedroom was locked when we arrived. A sign said that it was available for an additional charge. We only needed one bedroom, so it was no problem, but if you go here with a larger group, ask if the third bedroom will be locked or not. We were never told ahead of time that the third bedroom would be locked, so I felt like this was a bait and switch. Also, although there were two full bathrooms, they were both inside the door of two different bedrooms. In other words, two bedrooms were suites with their own bathrooms, but there were no other bathrooms in the house. It wasn't a problem for me, but it would be weird if we had a larger group, and someone was using that third bedroom.

Jan was so nice and communicated with us well! She filled up the bird feeder prior to our stay and we were able to see 2 white squirrels!! It was little touches like this that made our trip perfect! There was plenty of room for our family of 3. We were able to walk into town which was awesome to not have to fight looking for parking! Would definitely stay here again! Also, Jan was accommodating to our schedule and allowed us to check in about 3 hours early! It was such a treat!

Like I said, the state was absolutely excellent. I know I put it in the wrong place but such as life tell Jan thank you very much.

Great location, great communication, lots of space, dated, but clean. Kitchen had everything needed. Small TV screens, Dish satellite didn’t offer good choice channel options. Beautiful backyard. Manager even left us home grown tomatoes from her garden!

Nice house in lovely neighborhood walking distance to retail shops ,restaurants, coffee shops. Property is well maintained .

My family just had a wonderful stay in this house. The house had everything we needed and the location is excellent. We had some rainy days which made me really appreciate having a comfortable, cozy house that was close to everything when the rain stopped. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Jan's house since it was walkable to downtown Brevard. That was important to me as I was a vendor at the White Squirrel Festival. The house was also across from a wooded area where I spotted my first and only white squirrel! The house is very spacious which we enjoyed. No problems with anything at all. We recommend staying here!

The house was immaculate, the owner has taken a lot of steps to make guests comfortable. From amenities provided to the comfortable furnishings. She also gave us tips to attract the well known “Brevard White Squirrels “ to the back yard. Also beautiful birds were abundant. We’ll be back.

I would like to keep this place a secret! My wife and I stayed here and its so close to downtown we could walk everywhere and its centrally located in some of the best hikes and waterfalls in the area. The owners were very attentive and responsive. It was immaculately clean. The only thing I could add is "shhhhhh - don't tell anyone, I want it to be my spot!"

As always, we had a great time with no problems.

The house was clean and had the best-stocked kitchen I've seen at a VRBO! Jan was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. So close to town too. We will definitely book here again!

Very comfortable clean home with 3 bedrooms, 2 are with ensuites. Large well-equipped kitchen, screened porch, and deck/patio. Easy walk to downtown Brevard shops. The owner is an accomplished artist, kind and knowledgeable of the area and galleries.

Working with Jan was a pleasure. The house is spacious and well maintained.

What a gem only a short walk to downtown and a short drive to great hiking. Communication was excellent throughout and if anything the pictures do not do the house justice. Only wish that we had been able to stay longer! Will definitely visit again.

This was my second stay at Jan Lees vrbo. This home is in an excellent location, and incredibly clean. The house is comfortable and has everything you need for a visit to Brevard. Jan is always quick to answer any questions, and on hand if there is an emergency (locked myself out :( ). Wonderful stay as usual.

Very comfortable house two blocks from downtown shops and restaurants. Convenient to DuPont Forest, Pisgah Forest, and Blue Ridge Parkway. Owner very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this property.

Great location, plenty of space, and a screened-in porch too. Not too far a drive to lovely hikes to waterfalls. There's a cool toy store downtown our kids loved and Dolly's ice cream by Pisgah is wonderful.

My husband, our friends, and I loved this property and our host, Jan. Pleasantly surprised by the spacious house, and yard, in a lovely quaint neighborhood so close to downtown Brevard, and the blue ridge mountains. Saturday market was fun and just steps away from house at corner church parking lot. Jan is wonderful, attentive and a great communicator. House was clean, comfortable, spacious, and had everything needed. Especially enjoyed screened porch overlooking big private yard with large trees. Within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Great farmer's market across the street on Saturday morning. Short drive to lots of great hiking. House was very spacious and clean. I highly recommend!

What a fantastic gem of a find! This lovely home was perfect for our stay. Located half a block off of main street we could walk to all the restaurants and shopping. Pisgah National Forest was a 10 minute. The house is beautifully furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch and deck and spotted a white squirrel and deer. The owner Jan was a great communicator. We loved our stay and hated to leave. As soon as we returned home we booked another stay for the fall. Thank you Jan for everything.

Jan is a fantastic host, communication was excellent, check in was a breeze. The location is wonderful. Quiet neighborhood yet great walking distance to downtown. Saturday farmers market is just a few steps out the door! The home was one of the cleanest VRBO's I've ever stayed at. Furniture is clean and new, comfortable beds. Great backyard to sit and watch the birds and bunnies with a cup of coffee. Jan Lee went above and beyond to welcome us, even checking in after a very long drive back to New York. Looking forward to returning, will definitely rent this home again.

Great place to stay

This home is truly special. Spacious layout, yet feels cozy. Both bedrooms are large and have private bathrooms. We enjoyed the deck and the pretty backyard. Location is wonderful. Just a short walk to downtown Brevard. Home does need some TLC--fresh paint, a deep cleaning (including the furniture), and operational blinds throughout. The two chairs in the den should be replaced. The cushions are shot. With these improvements, we would absolutely rate the house 5 stars.

WiFi can be a problem in the mountains, but in Jan's house the WiFi was great the whole time. We had a wonderful two weeks at this house. It was an easy two block walk to downtown Brevard and to two parks if you have children. The owner, Jan, was very helpful and easy to work with. The house has great living areas and the kitchen is expansive and well stocked with good cooking utensils. We enjoyed the screened porch and deck overlooking the large back yard. We will definitely stay here again.

The location was convenient for walking to town for shopping and restaurants. It is also great for a short drive to hiking and biking at Pisgah and DuPont state forest. The house was fantastic with plenty of space to relax with multiple living spaces to read or watch TV. We stayed in and cooked on one of the rainy days and the kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to make a great meal. I also liked the detail of a small nook with a tea pot and herbal tea for relaxing before bed. We truly enjoyed staying this house!
