Incredible location and view. Great for stargazing. Worked well for us with two toddlers. Would love to stay again.

Beautiful, comfortable, well appointed,and relaxing. A short walk to the beach and you can walk from Blind beach to the Russian River.

Perfect location for a relaxing few days on the ocean. Dave and Megan were the best hosts we have ever encountered. The views from the house and wraparound deck can’t be beat. Definitely want to stay here again.

We enjoyed our time at Goat Rock very much. We felt so much at home but surrounded with nature, quiet and time for reflection. We were thankful that we could meet Megan who was at the house when we arrived a little early. She eagerly invited us in and gave us some tips about the home, property and nearby areas to visit. We slept very well. Had good exercise walking up and down the terrain, watching birds, ocean and our 4 legged faithful friend. We also enjoyed looking around the house and finding thoughtful treasures. The kitchen was a treat to cook in and probably the best layout of all places we have stayed as I could see the ocean from several vantage points. My husband really liked the newly redone shower. It is tasteful, roomy and has good water pressure. We did not avail ourselves of the many outdoor amenities on this trip so we will have more new things to do on our next visit to Goat Rock House. We stayed at the Goat Rock State Beach home from 2/19 -2/23/24. The house is located on a bluff overlooking the ocean and the view was unbelievable. The house was animal friendly and we brought our lab us. My husband is wheelchair user (sport chair) and he had room to maneuver around, but the hallway and entrance to bathroom and guest rooms were a bit tight. We knew that before we arrived, and worked it out. There was plenty of room to stretch out in the kitchen, dining area and large great room. Considering there was a raging storm when we arrived, the house stayed nice and quiet. The owner called us in the evening when we arrived to check on us, and explained the house had a whole house generator in case the power went out. The power did go out the next day, and the generator turned on within 30 seconds and worked like a charm for many hours. You never knew the power went out. We took some great walks up and down the main road and enjoyed the beach after the storm calmed down. The view was amazing, the sunsets were just breathtaking. Plenty of room for a family stay. Loved the wraparound deck and view from the windows. A perfect trip to just unwind and be still...

Wonderful location with spectacular views (and access) of Goat Rock and the surrounding coast line that just can't be beat anywhere else! Comfortable and relaxing home that is perfect for the family time we were looking for. Dave and Megan were extremely helpful and giving with their knowledge of the area, and the home itself. We had no complaints except maybe that we needed to stay one more day...

We chose to ring in the New Year at this lovely property. It was a perfect getaway for our family. The views are stunning both day and night, and when it was rainy or foggy, we just cozied up next to a warm fire. Although it can be chilly this time of year, it wasn’t too cold to go exploring. The trails were open and we were able to see so much with just a pair of binoculars….birds, boats, harbor seals, rock formations, etc. The house was comfortable for the six of us, very clean, and well stocked. The owners are so nice and provided a lot of good information about the park and surrounding area. We would love to stay here again!

Our family had a lovely relaxing mini break here. The location can't be beat and the hosts were very welcoming, informative and responsive. Highly recommend.

Myself and two besties enjoyed a nice long weekend at the fabulous Goat Rock property. Last year we were all at the beach for a memorial service for my uncle and when we drove by the property we thought it would be such a great place to stay! Lucky we found the home on VRBO and the rest was history. Megan was easy to communicate with and the house supplies all you need, including the most beautiful view of the ocean. So relaxing and comfortable. We cooked and BBQ’d and spent great quality time together. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay! We will return!

A wonderful place to stay, on the road to Goat Rock at the mouth of the Russian River. Even when cars are going by, one doesn't hear or notice them. Wonderful wood burning fireplace. Extremely comfortable. Panoramic ocean views on the west and south, woods on the north and east. Extraordinary sunsets. Cool if its hot inland, great access to nearby restaurants and shops, but feels utterly rural/seaside. Very comfortable great room living area, overlooking Goat and Arch Rock. Excellent barbecue. Hosts are great communicators, and have organized all the info anyone could need in a convenient notebook. We'll be back!

I just got back from the most amazing vacation at Goat Rock in Jenner, CA! My family and I stayed in a beautiful VRBO and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The property was absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views of the ocean and plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. But what really set this vacation apart was the incredible hospitality of the property owners, Dave and Megan. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were always available to answer any questions we had. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were part of their extended family. Overall, I can't recommend this VRBO enough. If you're looking for a peaceful and serene getaway with your loved ones, this is the perfect spot. And with Dave and Megan as your hosts, you're sure to have a truly unforgettable experience. Amazing views! Clean Windows! Comfortable beds and bedding! Great cookware! Well Stocked! Great Hosts! Dog friendly!!!

The trip starts out with feeling of being taken care of. Dave and Megan have a well supplied kitchen, comfortable beds, and little touches here and there that make for a wonderful stay. And the location is simply spectacular. A great launching spot for a variety of activities and perfect for just hanging out and watching the ocean. We had great time and hope to return.

The views of the ocean do not get any better from this home, which is why we spent so much time hanging out on the deck and soaking up the Pacific coast/ocean. Goat Rock is a wonderful place and the proximity of this home to the amazing beaches at Goat Rock (short walk down the road) is a bonus! I cannot say enough how wonder Dave and Megan (home owners) are - very accommodating, easy to work with and they went above and beyond in ensuring me and my family had a wonderful experience. We love our stay at this house overlooking beautiful coastal scenery. Owners are great and easy to communicate with.

Enjoyed our stay. The bedroom is on the small size. If you are in a wheel chair or use as walker, you might have problems. The only other thought is bring an extension cord if you need electrical medical equipment (like CPAP), the bed rooms do not have electrical outlets on every wall. We do not have mobility problems yet. I understand the attraction is the view/location not the bedroom. We do require electrical power for our CPAP therapy.

We had a marvelous time in this clean, comfortable, and beautifully situated house. Dave and Meehan were very helpful. We look forward to returning!

The house was super clean and cozy, with all the small comforts of home. The location is overlooking the Pacific where huge rocks and waves create an ongoing soothing sound. The weather was varied and we loved the shift from the sunny days to fog so thick you couldn't see the water. The fog, trees, hills and wildflowers created an other-worldly environment. To get on the sandy beach is a bit of a walk, but a short drive along the coast gives so many opportunities for walks on trails and picnic areas. We loved the birds and the huge trees. There were many visitors to the Goat Rock Park but we were never disturbed by them and always felt safe. We would definitely come back. The local towns were fun, especially the Country Store in Duncan and a trip to the Armstrong Redwood Forest, only 1/2 hour drive away, was powerful and delightful!

House is very well stocked with everything you need to cook and relax with friends. Hiking nearby is epic.

My family and I stayed 3 nights and absolutely loved this property! The house is so cozy and cute with a wrap around deck for lots of outside enjoyment. The view was amazing and the location was close to hiking and had easy beach access. Not only that, but Dave and Megan added so many little touches that it felt like a home away from home. They were the best hosts who thought of absolutely everything to make your stay comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

Our family of five (two parents plus three teenage boys) stayed in this house for a long weekend. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. The house is just as advertised -- set in a park overlooking the wild pacific ocean. There were plenty of trails leading from near the house to occupy our time. We had hoped to go kayaking in Jenner, but were stymied by the rain (torrential rain!). However, we still hiked in the park and spent a lot of time in this lovely and cozy house playing board games and eating tasty meals. There is a giant wraparound couch in the living room where we could all sprawl and read while watching the weather through the big windows. There was room enough for all of is -- and the teenagers are not small! The kitchen is remarkably well outfitted for its size. The beds were comfortable. The deck looks amazing, however, due to the rain we didn't get the chance to use it. The hosts were super helpful about directions and road closures and any thing else we may have needed. We are looking forward to going back again soon -- and maybe get some better weather.

As many reviewers have already stated, you can't beat the ocean side location. This is the prefect place to kick back, relax, and getaway from everyday life. However, if you are a work from home kind of person you will have trouble with zoom calls or video as there is no high speed internet. They do have satellite internet but it is slow. If you are not familiar with this area, there is a long stretch of shoreline with no cell service and this property falls into that area. Nothing to do with the host, the hills along the ocean block cell service. Cottage does have a land line phone that guests can use at no cost. Don't let this stop you, the location alone is worth the visit. We had a great time hanging out at the cottage and exploring the area!

First of all the location "if" you love the ocean cannot be beat maybe anywhere on the pacific coast line, really. It is breathtaking. the house was just what we needed, very homy and comfortable, even a heated toilet seat, what more could you want? Beds were very comfortable, pillows were great, the vibe was just what i needed for turning 70. Enjoy

The location, amenity, and owners are amazing. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Owners are friendly and very helpful; communication prior check-in was clear and straight forward. After check in they helped us over the phone to make our cell phones working – instructions were written in welcome letter, it was us who missed them. House located at fantastic ocean place and has everything needed and much more unexpected extras. We would recommend staying there big time and we be back for sure.

The location is beyond belief in its beauty. We were here for a “bomb cyclone” and the owners were really prepared and proactive. We had no disruptions in our stay. Owners also provided extensive helpful tips on the home, neighborhood, and restaurants. We will return!

We are a beach/ocean loving family and even in the house we are enjoying it's wonder and beauty. The view from all over the living, kitchen, dining areas is all ocean! We had everything we needed for our meals and extra treats too. Couldn't ask for anything better
