This cabin was perfect for us! We loved that it was from the '40s but completely renovated with modern and stylish kitchen and bathrooms. The old fireplace and chimney gave it charm! The deck is fabulous, perfect for breakfast, happy hour, and any other time. Highly recommend.

We were two couples in town for the weekend and had a blast. Highlands is a great town and this cabin was the perfect home base for all our activities

It was perfect. The location could not have been better, it's withing walking distance to town. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. David responded immediately Loved everything about it.

Upon arrival you’re greeted by a very welcoming neighborhood and large parking area for the house. Everything inside the house is very intentional and we were happily greeted by a nice welcome note and bottle of wine! They supply anything you would ever need for your stay. It’s odd to say but they supply the “right” amount of things without stuffing the house with too much stuff. We were looking forward to the amazing outdoor space and fire pit but unfortunately we were there during the Countywide burn ban so we settled for the interior fireplace which was just as cozy and inviting. Thanks for a great stay!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Highlands cottage and we can’t recommend it enough. The kitchen was well appointed with all the cookware one would need, the outdoors was stocked with wood for the fire pit and the deck had a smart TV to watch all the college football we could want. There was even a nicely printed book with home instructions, sightseeing info and photos of the surrounding area. A lot of thought was put into making guests feel at home and it was greatly appreciated. If we’re ever in the area again, we would definitely stay at the Highland’s cottage and highly recommend it to others too.

Stayed at this house for four nights while in town for a wedding. Location could not have been better, had everything we needed and then some.
Loved the open kitchen and living area, amazing deck, fire pit, and little stream. Beds were comfortable and with plenty of pillows for us and our two guests.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great place to stay in Highlands. So glad we found it.

We had an excellent stay in Jighlands. The house was exceptionally clean and well furnished. The kitchen was very well stocked with 2 types of coffee makers and coffee. Each of the two bedrooms was comfortable and well furnished. Each had its own bathroom. Every light switch was labeled. The house is very comfortably furnished, and the covered deck is very comfortable. In short, this was an exceptionally good stay.

The place we stayed was perfect. Everything was as advertised, and we had all we needed. The most difficult item was figuring out how to open the bear proof garbage can, but we eventually figured that out. Our host was most responsive on a couple of questions. This was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay.

We loved our stay in this Highlands cottage. All the amenities we needed. Loved the back porch. It was perfect for relaxing, morning coffee and watching the afternoon rain. Convenient to great lunch and dinner spots. The fire pit was perfect for dessert s’mores. Would love to come back!

This was a very comfortable lodging for 2 couples with very nice sitting and dining areas inside and outside. The kitchen was remarkable well-equipped whic was a peasure for our chefs! The fire pit with plenty of wood available made for yet another pleasant spot! We highly recommend this rental and hope to return soon!

Cozy cabin in the mountains perfect for a getaway. Every amenity was available that we needed and the fireplace was the perfect centerpiece. All of the tvs were equipped for streaming in addition to puzzles and games for entertainment. Very convenient location close to downtown.

We loved our stay at this quaint but well appointed cottage. It was very cozy and quiet , beds were comfortable, tvs in each room a big plus. Kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of cookware for us to make a proper thanksgiving dinner for two. A very short drive into town so we could enjoy all the excellent restaurants and shopping. Would definately stay here again.

Charming cabin in the woods close to town
Enjoyed our week. Owners had clearly thought about making us welcome with cut flowers, firewood and arrival and departure info. We had one bump in the road upon arrival as housekeeping had left wet towels in washer and previous renter’s food in cabinets. We were able to remedy those issues and have a great stay. Cabin would be tight for more than 4 people.

The house was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The back porch/deck was perfection and we loved the water feature. The house is incredibly conveniently located to downtown Highlands and would have been a lovely one mile walk. We contemplated but decided we would probably not want to walk back with shopping bags. (It was a good call as we bought a lot in the nice downtown shops.) Would definitely stay here again!

Housekeeping less than excellent...dishwasher not empty, towels folded and put away wet, out of toilet paper, ceiling fan did not work in one bedroom, no kitchen towels .... all minor things. Overall great place.. Would definitely stay again.

You definitely could, though! The outdoor space is lovely, and we can’t wait to take advantage of the fire pit the next time we visit! We will definitely be booking this cabin again!!!!

Wonderful Fireplace!
This cabin is cute and cozy! We all loved spending time sitting right in front of the fireplace! The fireplace has gas logs, but there was no gas smell.
This house also has a tin roof! It was wonderful listening to the rain!
There were also several decks and an outdoor fire pit.

We enjoyed our visit to Highlands. The Cottage was in a great location for walking to town. We would definitely stay at this home again. The decor is nicely done and the home is very comfortable.
