This is a lovely house with lots of space. The guest house is a nice additional sleeping space when you have lots of adult children. The main house is large, comfy with all the things you could need. The owner is friendly and responsive. The screened boat house was very popular with its own refigerator. The whole place is very picturesque. One thing that was different than the description is the bunk room which has 3 double beds instead of bunks and worked very nicely for our family. Much more comfortable.

Large property which gives a space for everyone. This is the time of the year where there were a lot of ants, so we had to be very careful to not leave any food out and about, especially in the kitchen. There were ant traps available but a good exterminator would take care of the issue. Over all we had a good time and would come back again if available.

Beautiful setting on the lake with privacy but still great views of the lake, deep water at the dock, and great amenities! Lots of room for our 2 families to spread out. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of outdoor options to hang out. LOVED the firepit area. Lots of shade, including screen porch and screened boathouse. Porch and boathouse could use a deep cleaning but otherwise the place was lovely! Also appreciated the canoe and paddle boards which we used often. Neil was such a great host and very responsive. I would definitely recommend!

Hickory Cut was a great place for our family reunion with sixteen guests from age 2 to 63! The house was large enough with adequate gathering and sleeping arrangements. The bathrooms were good to very good. We appreciated the toiletries. The kitchen was large but needs updates of knives and cookware. We sure enjoyed the beach, canoe, boat house, patio, and fire pit areas. The cons were sketchy internet service, spider webs outside and in the sun room, wasps, and poison ivy. The owners were quick to respond and repair a leaking faucet, answer our questions and concerns and provide local information. It was a blessing to have our whole family together for a week at Lake Anna.

Nice lake house
Great Lake house with a real nice boat house. Guest cottage was a little musty. Nothing that made it uncomfortable to stay in. Worked great for our stay with family getting married next door at Nirvana. Neil was quick to respond with any questions or issues we had.

This house has an amazing view and a beautiful small sandy beach and an floating platform for kinds to spend hours in the water.
The canoe and paddle boards where great things to have.
The fire pot was a great addition.
Definitely a place to spend some time with family and friends during the summer.

Such a great place to stay!
The house and location was beautiful and well maintained. The children had an amazing time and so did the adults. The main house was clean and comfortable. Neil was very responsive to messages and very helpful. Well definitely be staying here again! The guest house was not maintained as well as the main house and needed a bit of time to air out but it was a cozy place to stay. Also worth noting is that the boat house doors don't latch or lock so keep that in mind when traveling with little ones! All in all it was a wonderful trip

Relaxing Stay
Owner very quick to respond and easy check in. House had everything we needed and then some. We had 12 people and plenty of space . Boat house and lake area was wonderful for swimming, fishing or lounging. Definitely would want to stay here on our next visit.

Wonderful vacation
We had a great stay at this property. Perfect location and wonderful house. Lots of spaces for groups to spread out. I highly recommend it

This property is a very nice property except for the bad mold issue. A few people in our group got sick due to the very strong mold presence in the house. Tried notifying the owner a few times about the issue with no luck

Great time!
Had a great stay for New Years! Beautiful property right on a point looking over the lake. Lots of room, the seperate cottage was a big plus and the game room was nice for kids. We enjoyed sitting around the firepit with a beautiful view of the lake and fishing off the dock. Nice place for a big family!

Absolutely amazing experiencr
Been here every year for a weekend get-away for ten years now. Never ceases to amaze and will come back next year.
