This was a beautiful and well cared for home. Communication with Candice was super easy! We stayed here for Bama Homecoming. It was only 30 minutes out and didn’t cost an arm and a leg plus it was nicer than any hotel I’ve been to in Tuscaloosa! I highly recommend!

My family needed a place to stay overnight during our road trip home from Georgia to Louisiana. It is very difficult to find rentals that are available for one night only, so I was appreciative to find such a beautiful home that fit our needs. We had the best meal of our entire trip at the Bright Star Restaurant in Bessemer. We were pleasantly surprised to find such rich history and quality food in this quaint southern town. It was another added benefit to our short stay here.

A group of friends stayed here for an Alabama football game weekend, and it was just perfect! This home has a great location with shopping and restaurants nearby and a short drive to Tuscaloosa. It's in a peaceful neighborhood, and the home is clean, well furnished and adorable. We'd definitely stay again!

We stayed at this house in between attending and playing a festival in Birmingham. The neighborhood was really nice, and the hosts were communicative and friendly! I definitely recommend!

We were spending two nights in the Birmingham area and wanted something different than a normal hotel or condo. This house was perfect. Bessemer is a great location with stores, shops, restaurants, and activities close by. The house was very clean, well decorated, and fully furnished with anything we might need. The owner was available if we had questions or needed anything. I can see how this home would be a great option for anyone attending events in the area, especially anything in Tuscaloosa. If you’re looking for a great experience, choose this property.

Very nice house in suburbs and very friendly hosts. Just didn't realize, and it wasn't stated in the listing, that this was their full-time house. Meaning, you get there and all there stuff is there, with food in the fridge, clothes in the closet, shoes sitting by back door, personal toiletries out etc. etc. Honestly, I like to have more of a hotel experience where it truly is a rental place vs. feeling like you are staying at a family members home. It was just strange feeling and felt very awkward to see all the pantry full, food in the fridge and all personal items out. They should really indicate this is there personal home and not a 100% rental. Host was very nice but would not stay here again.

Very nice and very easy

We have nothing but positive things to say about this property! We came for the extended weekend to visit my nephew at the University of Alabama and attend the LSU vs Bama game. The owner reached out multiple times to ensure that we could get into the house when we arrived to town (as we were traveling from the Midwest) and was very accommodating. The house is decorated like the pages of a magazine and is incredibly clean. There is a grocery store, Target, gas station, and other amenities within 5 minutes from their neighborhood which is very convenient. Staying in a house instead of a hotel is always a blessing when traveling with a family of five. It was also far more affordable than hotels in Tuscaloosa on a big game weekend. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended to our extended family!

The house was beautiful and decorated like a magazine. The location was great for getting to the Alabama campus for the guys and shopping for the girls. It was everything we hoped for and more.

The Bama Football Game House was exceptional! Checking in and out was a breeze. Five adults stayed comfortably and we had plenty of parking in a quiet neighborhood. We rented the house for a concert at Oak Mountain Amphitheater. It was an easy drive, even with traffic, from this location, which is close to the interstate. We stopped at Dreamland and had some leftovers, so were happy to be able to keep this in the fridge. If we are in the area again, this will definitely be our first choice! Even my Tennessee Vol friends were full of compliments! : )

Just a great place between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa! The home is a perfect distance from both cities for a weekend of combining history and football. The hosts were very accommodating with a late arrival and had great communication with us during the stay- helpful tips and good suggestions. Would definitely seek it out next time we stay in the area!

Candice and her husband have a beautiful home located in a brand new development in Bessemer, Alabama. We were there for the Alabama vs Colorado State football game. The house was beautifully furnished and well stocked with all the necessities that are sometimes missing from other rentals we have used in the past. The kitchen was great and the house easily accommodated seven grown people comfortably. Candice was very easy to work with! The location is convenient to both Tuscaloosa and Birmingham and is only a short distance to restaurants, grocery stores and other shopping. For those of you not familiar with Bessemer, we can highly, highly recommend the Bright Star restaurant! What a historic gem with wonderful staff, amazingly delicious food and surprisingly reasonable prices. In summary, kudos to Candice and her husband! We recommend this rental to anyone that needs a good-sized, wonderfully furnished house in a great location! The Burketts
