Everything was perfect. Great house and very close to all the great Asheville amenities. Would love to go back (had to cut our trip short due to illness)

We give Lazy Bear Lodge an A+ rating. Spacious home, just right for 3 couples, with every comfort and convenience we could ask for. The home was well equipped, comfortable, very clean, impeccably managed. And the location was perfect with close proximity to all that Asheville has to offer. We had a great week and will recommend to all!

This neighborhood and the property is beautiful. 20 minutes from downtown, 15 from the Biltmore, Sierra Nevada, RAD, and some other cool stuff. 9 of us stayed here comfortably. The stairs going up are steep. Our dogs could not go up and down them. Every time we left, we took them with us. We’d had to go down the hill in the back yard and out the side gate. Just have to be careful. There are no blinds or curtain in the common areas. You’re on a hill so anyone driving by or the neighbor who’s house is higher can see right in. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, even on the beds. That was no explained prior, but there’s a tractor supply around the corner and they have good dog beds. The host was quick to respond to any messages. There were a few things we weren’t too happy with when it came to cleaning and heads up showing up to the house. There was broken glass on the balcony and the fire pit area. The towels used in the bathroom’s smelled like mildew and there was no warning or notification that lawn maintenance was going to show up. We were outside with the dogs when we heard and saw them coming into the backyard. After the lawn person left, they left the gate open. All around though, the stay was amazing. I’d book the place again for a large group. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials to have a peaceful stay in.

My family was so pleased with this rental property. Everything was well stocked, clean, and tons of room for lots of people. The backyard was great for fires in the evening and plenty of room for kids to run and play outside in a fenced area. Communication with the property managers was excellent. Everything we needed was stocked in the house. I would stay here again.

This house was really nice overall- A few things to keep in mind are the differential between the lower level and upper level with the AC on is 10-15 degrees. Both my children had to move out of the bunk room to the upstairs bedrooms because it was freezing down there and warmish on the second level even with the fan running continuously. The beds were great but it was disappointing to find that although there are 4 pillows on the kind bed two had shams that when removed had no pillow cases so were unusable. We searched but didn't find any extra pillowcases. The bed also had nice linens but that's it. There's no blanket on the bed. Just sheets and a coverlet, Based on their check out instructions of stripping only linens and leaving the coverlet on the bed it is clear that it isn't getting cleaned regularly which was less than desirable. That said- the furnishings were nice, the yard was really cute and the location was great. We'd stay there again if the above items were remedied.

Overall trip was good and the house was clean and comfortable . We had some issues with the TV and surround sound. Could have used clear instructions in how to use these. When we asked for help, when the coffee pot died for example, it was given in a timely way. I would recommend some night lights for the bathrooms as a small thing that would be helpful and also, a bedroom clock for each room. There was supposed to be firewood for the fire pit, but that was unavailable because of labor issues related to covid. the gas fireplace was lovely, though, and well used. Great walk in showers. Overall, a good experience.

This place was clean and cozy. It had everything we needed and more. The fire pit and fireplaces were very accommodating and the decor was on point for our girls hiking/yoga birthday trip. My dogs came up and loved the backyard and dog doors! Plenty of garbage cans and the laundry room was impressive! I had a few groups come in throughout my stay and washing sheets was a breeze. So close to all the things too. We did everything we could and the drives were minimal. The nearby outlet mall was a great stop on a drizzly day and great charging stations for my electric car. Lots of fun was had!! Great storage for clothes and toiletries and plenty of closet space for luggage and shopping bags!

The place was perfect for four couples. Clean, a good kitchen with gas grill outside (we ate in several nights), comfortable, and up-to-date. The fenced-in yard, grassy and shaded, was a good size AND there was a dog door. A relief for dog owners.

What a great place for a family to stay! All Asheville has to offer and comfortable beds and couches for when you are done.

Property was just as described. Very comfortable for 6 adults and 3 young teens. We used this as our home base while visiting sites of both Asheville and trails/ day hikes. Kitchen was great size for preparing meals and we used the outdoor firepit as well. Enjoyed our stay.

This house is extremely well stocked and everything was clean! The upstairs bedrooms all have very comfortable beds with remote controls to adjust their height. These beds were by far the most comfortable beds I have encountered in a rental! The downstairs beds were also very comfortable, but they were not adjustable like the upstairs beds. We did have a small issue with the downstairs bathroom. When we flushed the toilet, you could smell sewage through the sink. However, after a few flushes over a couple of days, the smell disappeared, so it may have just been that the bathroom had not been used in a while and some sewage was sitting in the pump. To be safe, we didn't use the downstairs shower or sink. There were two full bathrooms upstairs, so it wasn't a huge issue. Overall, the property managers were responsive, and when I notified them of the smell, they said they would let their staff know. However, we never heard back after that, and some follow-up would have been nice. That's the only reason I gave their communication 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The backyard was great for our furry family members, and we used the fire pit to roast marshmallows a couple of nights. The neighborhood is great! Lots of families out walking every day and the neighbors are very friendly. It was quiet at night and seemed very safe. The house was close to hiking, and we were 15 to 20 minutes to downtown Asheville. Lots of shopping and groceries close by as well! We really enjoyed our trip to Asheville and we would look into renting this house again!

There are only 6 dining chairs. a couple folding chairs would be nice at we had plenty of sleeping space for our 9 guests but not enough dining chairs. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a nice fire pit area. We neglected to bring wood so we didn't have the chance to use it. It was a 15 minute drive to Biltmore and 40 or so minutes to Pisgah National Forest.
