We previously stayed Ka'anapali for many years. Suffice it to say we are beyond thrilled to have found the South side of the island to be so much better. Sun every day, trade winds in the afternoon, mere steps from the pool to the ocean - the best of both worlds! We loved the central location and saw much more of the island than ever before - Kihei Sands is a great jumping-off spot for planning adventures. The condo was clean and comfortable and the gardens in the breezeway were gorgeous - they should charge admission to walk through! Staff was always available for recommendations on what to see and do. We will definitely be back!

While our initial reactions upon check-in were 'the pool is smaller than we thought' and 'maybe the room is too small for our family of 4' and 'our early check-in seems to have irritated the staff', we are ultimately very happy with our stay and absolutely would come again. We stay in a Kaanapali timeshare for a week every year and then move to Kihei for 3-4 days and like to try out different airBnBs/VRBOs. It's windier in this location, which makes the ocean right outside choppier, but it also keeps the air cooler. Wonderful to be able to be on the sand from our room in 30 seconds. While the pool is on the smaller size, we really loved the lounge area next to it- the lounges are in great shape with plenty of both shady and sunny options. We didn't barbecue or but the shared dining patio completely negates the need for an individual patio attached to our unit. It was quiet and intimate and never crowded. The A/C in both bedrooms and living room worked very well and kept us quite cool at night. It doesn't reach the bathrooms which can get a tad warm, but didn't bother us. The kitchen was very well equipped- from dishes to pans to utensils to ice packs in the freezer (we were just at another rental that gave us the bare minimum). Particularly delightful was the area under the outdoor stairs with toys, floats, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas and sand toys for community use. These are available to anyone staying at the facility, in addition to anything provided in the room. Our room had 4 tommy bahama chairs for use (2 brand new in plastic), a cooler, a beach bag and an umbrella. We always feel guilty leaving behind perfectly good toys or unused food/drinks, so I liked being instructed to leave behind unopened food in the fridge, and toys with the other. It was also a nice touch to see several bottles of sunscreen available for anyone's use.

We had 3 families (10 of us) in 3 condo's at the Kihei Sands Beachfront Condos, and we really enjoyed it. It was awesome to be right by the beach, to be able to walk on the beach every day, enjoy the beach every evening, and to chat with other renters (who have been here often before). The units and complex were quiet and convenient to drive to and from.

Our stay was very relaxing and pleasant. The condo had very comfortable beds, but the rest of the unit definitely felt like a rental property. The fan in the kitchen is dirty and there was paint peeling by the lanai slider in the unit. I questioned the pool cleanliness, but it was getting a lot of use by kids. It would have been nice to see the ocean from the lawn chairs but the hedge is overgrown and weedy. Aside from that, we enjoyed the quiet accommodations and complimentary morning coffee and tea on the patio.

If you are looking for a resort within walking distance to resturants and shopping dont book here. If you are looking for a quiet beachfront location, with a friendly vibe, this will meet your wants. All units are indivudual owned, therefore no 2 are alike. We have stayed in both the 1 and 2 bedroom units, if something is missing a quick chat with either of the Managers and it is promptly dealt with. Unit B13 is a nice 2 bedroom unit and is well equipped. What we enjoy mostly is the social aspect on the Lanai in the morning and at dinner time.

This is our second stay at Kihea Sands. The pool, patio and BBQ area is perfect. Sit on the patio and watch the whales and listen to the surf. Convenient location for sightseeing as well. Our unit had a few issues that were addressed. I would have the owners install a new mattress in the loft area as this one seems a tad old. They also could use a few more dish towels and a drying mat for dishes but that was a minor problem.

My family stayed at a Kihei Sands Beachfront condo for a week and we had a wonderful time. We were welcomed with a comfortable, clean, space and a basket of welcome gifts. The the beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We were three and made use of the sofa bed which was perfect for our group. The beach is just a few steps away. The location is great with easy access to Kihei and the roads leading to the other parts of the island. The place was peaceful and quiet. We were glad to be able to borrow some boogie boards and chairs available.

Clean and Convenient!
This condo was so clean and well kept, not to mention great A/C! The unit was fully stocked with kitchen supplies and the welcome list and basket were a really nice touch. The stretch of beach for these condos is very nice/private and the views were amazing. There was a nice view from the kitchen but it's not the first beach unit, however the walk to the beach is nice and short! We stayed comfortably with 2 adults & 2 teens.

Staycation for a Birthday
We live on Oahu and came to visit for my Brothers Birthday. I asked to check in early but we were told it wasn’t done and we weren’t able to check in until 3:15pm. The unit was nice and the pool was small but clean. As we were leaving at 10:00am we noticed a woman in tank top with white shorts in the parking lot we didn’t know if she was an employee she had a vacuum in the back of her white truck she was very concerning. We wanted to bring this to your attention. We would stay at this unit again it was very comfortable.

We had a great time at Kihei Sands Resort. The condo itself was supplied with all the essentials. Loved that the beach was so close. A short walk down the beach to a wonderful bakery and farmers market. The property managers were very accommodating. The parking lot is pretty tight - I practiced my backing up skills. Kihei Sands is a small condo complex located on the quiet end of Sugar Beach. The ocean front lanai provides the opportunity for guest to mingle over morning coffee thru to evening sunset. Each unit has it uniqueness, some with the bare essentials only. B13 owners have provided many little extras making the unit was very cozy and comfortable. A few small maintenance items that came up were promptly handle by the onsite staff.

We loved everything except for a couple of points. We didn't use the patio/bbq area in front of the beach because it was always packed with people. It felt a bit claustrophobic and crammed together with tables etc. Second point is the checkout time and house cleaner. We already thought the checkout time was a bit early at 10am and this would have been pretty much ok but the housekeeper arrived shortly after 9am and knocked on the door to see if we were out of the rental. We told her checkout time was 10am and we were working on being out by then. She then stood right outside the door until 10am and (with a sour look on her face) knocked again and gave us a dirtly look that we weren't quite ready. We told her just a couple more minutes we are almost done, but she then knocked again in 10 more minutes and gave us another dirty look. She also didn't even speak to us just communicated with the dirty looks. 4-5 min later we started bringing out stuff out and she was standing their glaring at us the entire time were bringing our stuff out with her arms crossed and again the same dirty look. To be honest, this treatment really put a bad taste in our minds after a wonderful experience in the condo.

Our family stayed here and loved it! The AC worked very well, there were so many amenities we were able to enjoy including the grill, pool toys, lay our benches, sunscreen(!), and more! Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming and the beach was amazing just steps away. Kitchen is fully stocked and we were able to cook many meals at home. Ample parking was always available and the location has easy, fast access for anywhere on the island! We can't wait to come back again.

PERFECT!
This was our first time in Maui and we could not have found a more perfect place to stay than Kihei Sands Condominiums! We loved it here and will definitely be back!! It was so relaxing and our condo was everything we needed and more. Small community feel and everyone was very nice. Beach was RIGHT THERE!! Access was easy, views were spectacular, and the beach was not busy at all! I have already recommended it to everyone I know. Please don't change anything......ever!

The resort was well maintained, condo was clean, well maintained but furniture is showing its age. Hide-a-bed was in need of replacement and dining chairs are uncomfortable for anything but short times. Main floor bed very comfortable. Flooring in unit poorly installed. Needs a kettle. With a 2 week stay double the startup supplies should be provided. Office staff were very helpful and special nights were appreciated.

A perfect spot for beach, sun and a relaxing atmosphere. Sunsets watch from the patio, whales breaching in the distance and gentle waves rolling in. Step out from the pool and patio right onto the beach for fun in the emerald ocean or a quite walk to enjoy the beauty of it all.the Easily accessible from the major roads but no road noise.Shopping and convenience stores just a few minutes away. Any special needs or maintenance issues were always taken care immediately from a caring staff that were helpful in every way. This facility may be small compared to the big hotels but I would recommend it to anyone. Our room was clean, comfy and well appointed with lots of space and an ocean view from our Balcony. There is equipment to use for water sports at your disposal and a shower right by the beach keep the sand where it belongs. Laundry on site for your personal needs and every room gets a parking spot. We would definitely come here again!
