We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home on Bantam Lake. The house was clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with nice appliances and cookware. The view of the lake was amazing, whether sitting on the deck or inside. Having access to a number of kayaks was a huge plus. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was as listed and the house had all we needed to enjoy our stay comfortably. The kayaks were a big hit and our first fishing experience was so much fun. Easy access to ice cream and restaurants. The owner was very responsive and friendly. Looking forward to booking again next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days filled with swimming and kayaking, eating meals and reading on the covered porch, and playing games. The sandy bottom at the end of the dock where the water was just waist-high was perfect for those in our group still learning to swim. The cove was quiet and is a "no wake" area for boaters. The lily pads near the shore didn't bother us. Priscilla was very responsive and helpful. Our only complaint was the inability to control the thermostat on the air conditioners or open windows, but Priscilla came by and made an adjustment for us. A highlight for us was a one-hour boat charter with CT Watersports. We cooked all our meals and found the kitchen and outdoor grill to be excellent for that. All-in-all a great place for our group.

Perfect vacation spot the lake is absolutely beautiful the house is a wonderful mix of new and vintage. Communication with Priscilla always went smoothly she was quick to answer any questions. Would highly recommend planning a vacation here.

This is our 3rd year vacationing on this lake and second year renting this lovely beach house. The place is beautiful , well stocked, extremely clean and accommodates our family and friends perfectly. The host is easily accessible and we are already looking forward to coming back next summer!

The perfect rental on the lake. The property had everything we needed and was beautiful. The only downfall was the Lilly pads. The younger kids were unable to swim close to the shore due to the amount of Lilly pads. Other than that would definitely stay here again.

The house was great. The small beach was a hit with the kids, and there was a nice porch to sit on and get some outdoor time. The kitchen and living room is fantastic with lots of natural light and views of the lake. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here two years ago, so were familiar with the property. Our problem was the TV. We couldn't get it to work. Was told by the owner it was a new "Smart" TV which she also could not get to work. So the week was spent with one kiddie show we did manage to get.

I chose this spot over many similar because of the boats. Not one or two or three but five! - four kayaks and a SUP. We did have to provide our own life jackets but that wasn’t a problem as the owner warned us ahead of time. The best feature of the location is that it’s on a quiet no-wake cove, rather than the main expanse of the lake. This meant that my teens were often within view and not too far from shore while goofing around.. The fire pit, air conditioning units, and sparking bathrooms were all appreciated.

All who visited during our week at the cottage were united in one thing...this cottage has everything we need and want. The crown jewel on the cottage is the wrap around deck. We almost lived out there because even if it rained and it did a little, we could still be outside watching. The owners have done an amazing job with the care and upkeep of the cottage. I appreciate all the little things the owners did like supplying the linens (not all rentals do) and even beach towels. The kitchen had some little things that one might forget like salt and pepper and other condiments, however, the best part is that the kitchen has the highest quality appliances. The cabinets are plentiful with lots of dishes, bowls and pots (especially for cooking corn in) and pans - all that one would need for a very pleasant stay. I especially like sitting on the deck with my morning coffee when the sun comes up! After all of us went home, my daughter texted me a message, "Mom, we made a lot of memories there!" A special thanks to the owners who provided us with this very special place.

My wife and i have been vacationing on lakes with our boat(s) for over 25 years. Our kids and their friends grew up swimming, boarding, knee boarding. skiing, tubing and just hanging out having fun. Life's too short to not have fun. This house met every need and Priscilla was awesome. What a great lake and equally what a great home. (Don't pay attention to the reviews about the road noise. Yes it is quite busy but it didn't bother us in the least. You want quiet head to the forest :)

Priscilla was an amazing host. She was very quick to respond to any question we had. The home was clean and perfect for a quiet getaway. The kids had a blast fishing, they caught so many fish off the dock. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board and just relaxing on the deck. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to get away.

We loved our stay at this home! The weather was awful but we had a great time despite the rain. Swimming, kayaking ( in between the rain) and relaxing. Beautiful views from the deck. Plenty of room for all of us. Great little beach area for our2 young grandkids. Highly recommend this lovely home.

Very nice house, however the road was a little load and busy. Beautiful lake and quiet with our house being in a non-wake area of the lake. We had a great time with a fire pit available with wood provided . However, there were large black ants; somewhat noisy road; dirty outdoor furniture and only one reading lamp in all the bedrooms and we are a reading family. Overall a great stay

My family and I stayed at the cottage for only 3 nights, however, they were magical. Everyone who visited was very pleased. As for me, I was able to go kayaking with my daughter and two grandsons (ages 23 and 26), celebrate her birthday with a family gathering and a cake from Love's Heart's Bakery (the best!) and to have a good friend to come to join me for dinner at The Hopkins Inn. Our stay was short, but the layout of the cottage, the way almost everything was provided (like towels), and especially the wrap around porch gave everyone an opportunity to reconnect and to relax in a beautiful setting.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. Our two young boys (age 8 and 10) loved being right on the lake, and we got a lot of use out of the kayaks and paddleboard. The house is on a quiet cove so not many boaters and safe for the kids to swim. And the house was great, we loved the open floor plan, and the deck overlooking the water was a perfect spot to relax with coffee or a book. Several great restaurants nearby, which was a pleasant surprise. Priscilla was easy to communicate with, and she lives nearby in case you need anything.

Pro: Inside of house was clean and nicely decorated but with many carpenter ants and a few spiders. Cons: The only reason we reserved this property in the first place was the fact that it had a nice long dock. Unfortunately, there was no dock. The website mentioned the house had air conditioning, but there was none. It was so hot upstairs that we had to go out and purchase a fan for master bedroom. The beach area was in poor shape and had debris. It was difficult to enjoy the view of the lake because of the loud traffic that was a constant. While we may visit the area again, we will not stay here. If the owner had offered a partial refund, it would have been nice and the right thing to do.

We had never been to Bantam Lake before, and now we believe we will be regulars at Priscilla's property! The house is even nicer than the pictures show, the private beach allows for extra relaxing-time by the lake, and Priscilla's commitment to making sure you have a wonderful stay will make you truly feel like you are home. We recommend booking for more than a few days because you will NOT want to leave!

A lovely home on a beautiful lake that was ideal for our girls weekend getaway! Clean and comfortable and even though it was a cold November weekend, the setting was just what we needed...warm, inviting and relaxing!

The property was as expected and more. Modern and beautifully maintained. Bantam Lake is beautiful and this property is situated on a cove where motor boats have to slow making it safe for kayaking. Fishing was great and dining and shopping in the area is outstanding.
