Our stay was exactly what we needed. The home is as described. We stayed with 2 couples and 2 dogs. The place is clean and quiet set in nature. I would describe the furniture and decor as outdated but that didn't effect our enjoyment one bit. Daniel was a great host and the instructions for the place were clear and easy to follow. Will definitely stay again.

We had a great springtime stay for a family golf trip. It's a short drive away from some top quality courses in Sudre. The house is well appointed, and in a beautiful secluded setting along James River. Thanks for the stay!

We were there for a hunting trip, central Alberta. Perfect for us, mostly sleep and showered there. Met the host and his son, wonderful people. Plan on going back if they will have us

A nice cottage in the woods next to the river, just what we were looking for. Amazing view of stars/milky way at night by the campfire. Close to Burnstick Lake for kayaking which was our main purpose for choosing the location. Had everything we needed.

Booking for a 5 day summer getaway. Perfect for us & 2 kids. Everything you need. River 60 yards away. Lots of forest & wilderness. Great fires & roasting marshmallows in the evening. House very nice & well equipped. Excellent communication with Daniel the owner. Lots to do nearby. Might book again in a future summer.

Everything you need for an away from it all, break, also had service on phone which was good too.

House was in a nice area but property was run down and unkept. No phone service or wifi. Just a bunch of little things like ran out of toilet paper the second day. Coffee maker was not clean and was plugged and didn’t work. Wouldn’t go back

This was our second time staying at the cabin, we just love the location. Perfect for spending time outside and has a great fireplace set up. There were some new options we really liked, such as firewood easily available. The cabin had everything we needed. Will definitely consider returning again.

The location is quiet and private and nice and close to the James River which is clean and great for rock skipping. Loved the firepit which was perfect for watching bats flying at dusk and stars later at night-we roasted many marshmallows!! The lawn area was nice and open for setting up our badminton net, playing bean bag toss and bocce. Lots of nice trails and we saw and doe and her fawn when hiking the property. BBQ worked great as did all the appliances. Really nice having an upstairs bathroom between the bedrooms.

It was a very relaxing place - no tv, no wifi. Did a lot of reading! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils etc. The stovetop is not great - hard to get the right temps. The pillows need to be replaced - not comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. We would certainly return. It’s a lovely, peaceful place!

This cabin in the woods is the perfect family cabin. My 10 year old rated it 11/10 for the comfy beds, unique touches, and fun games. I loved the chance to unwind in a quiet, peaceful place.

We liked our stay and the location was amazing. The nearby brook was beautiful and the short paths in the woods were truly a great representation of Alberta farm country. We were about an 1.5 hours away from some hikes in the foothills which was great. The property did, however need a little maintenance and I think fall is always a challenging time when it comes to mice.

I cannot say enough. This was the most relaxing weekend we've had in a long time. The house was adequately stocked with supplies we needed. Daniel was amazing to deal with and answered all questions quickly. The views are spectacular. Our kids had a blast and are already asking to come back. We definitely will be booking again for next year!

This cabin is in a fabulous location. We really enjoyed the area. River is so close and makes for a relaxing atmosphere. Cabin was comfy and had everything we needed. Very nice property, would definitely stay again just for the location. Just be warned you do have to bring your own firewood so be prepared. There is also no TV or Wifi which was not a big deal for us but you may want to bring things to occupy time in case the weather isnt great.

This was such an enjoyable spot that my kids are already begging to come back next summer. The house was comfortable and well equipped. We found the whole area was peaceful and the access to the river gave us plenty to do during our stay. The location gave us great options for day trips. A great mix of relaxation and activity.

Lovely stay at your cabin. The location was amazing. You heard nothing except for the river, birds, and the wind in the trees, and the crackling of the fire at the firepit at night. We were totally rejuvenated by the end of the week. We brought everything we needed, so did not leave the property. Felt normal having campfires, casting out on the river, playing games, totally left Covid 19 behind for the week.

Enjoyable stay , surrounded by nature!

Owner was amazing and even took the time to take us for a hike and show us the beaver dam. That was great! Excellent property in all senses!

We loved the peace and quiet away from the city. The kids had the best time playing in the stream and collecting natures treasures.
