Good location, house is nice. Great lighting and a pretty garden which we enjoyed eating dinner in together.

Cleanliness of the kitchen was subpar which really influenced my enjoyment of the place. There were lipstick marks on a coffee cup and they all had staining. I scrubbed them and wiped out the shelving before we could really settle in. There was also a dried up piece of cabbage in the cutlery draw and the chopping knife was dirty. The only chopping board was wooden - not the best for chopping chicken! There could have been more dishwashing liquid provided, perhaps that's why things in the kitchen were so grubby?

Good price. Spacious. Good aircon. Owner left fresh flowers which was welcoming. Happy with location and parking.

Strong, unpleasant musty smell throughout house that we couldn’t get rid off despite leaving all doors and windows open as often as possible.

Old mattresses on bed, worn out. Changed beds from a single to the double in the night. Adding bedding from single to make it more comfortable. Still awful.

location - Parris Street which is a part of our on-going history. see 'Moturoa' a local history available from Moturoa Pharmacy. Past stories of place and people are well documented and brought to life, including the owner of 4 Parris St c1950/60s. So, 4 Parris Street was a definite must do.

Some window catches need attention.
