This property is exceptional for a family vacation. The house is so comfortable with three separate living areas so everyone could spread out. A/C works great, kitchen is so organized along with the perfect amount of cooking and prep items, and the beds are so comfortable. The sandy beach was perfect for our grandkids and adults as well. It was very easy to anchor our boat during the day and overnight. We will definitely return for another memorable family event. Thank you Scott and Jill for allowing others to enjoy your beautiful property.

This home was perfect for our annual get away to the Highland Lakes. We have small children and the water was perfect for us. Great for wading and enjoying the Texas sun. House was clean and had great amenities. Beautiful home that I would love to say at again.

We stayed with friends that are like family and our adult kids. We enjoyed the river and kayaking when we were not out on the bikes. House was clean and orderly. No complaints. Would stay again if in the area and needing that much space.

Needed a place for the eclipse that wasn't gouging people. Scott fairly advertised standard pricing while another Owner tried to cancel our stay (that was booked MONTHS in advance) with no notice and no reason (except that she let it slip her husband said they could get lots more $). Anyway, Scott, besides being very fair and communicative, also has a beautiful place that left us wishing we had more time to spend there. The bluebonnets and all the other wildflowers were in bloom and we picked a bouquet of them for the table. The beach was huge and fantastic, the lake/river afforded great swimming and paddling opportunities; the screened porch was wonderful to keep the bugs out (not that they were a problem anyway); the neighbors were friendly; the little town has ample restaurants and grocery stores mere minutes away; the beds were comfortable- this is a great place for big families as the double bunk beds are best for those teens that don't want to share a bed with their sibling; the sunroom's windows let in lots of sunshine; the blackout blinds worked great when we wanted to sleep in. If I HAD to find an area to critique, it was the lack of cable/satellite TV for some kids. For me, I think kids need LESS screentime on vacation, but for other parents, they may tire of hearing, "I can't watch TV!" There are any number of streaming apps to choose from, though, so this is really a moot point as most programming can be watched when you sign into your own Netflix/Prime/etc acct

Great house with all the basics you need to be comfortable. But the real beauty is the incredible beach which is so safe and relaxing even with little kids. Kayaks were a cool perk. Better than we were expecting, pics do not do the backyard justice. We hope to be back.

We stayed here two nights in order to view the solar eclipse. The weather could have been a little more cooperative but the clouds parted often enough that we got a good view from the large backyard, which was a perfect vantage point. The house is spotless and roomy. We took advantage of the well supplied kitchen, BBQ grill and washer/dryer while we were there and ate all of our meals in the screened porch with a view of the river. Our kids and grandkids loved playing in the sand on the beach, swimming in the river and kayaking. It would have been fun to stay longer, but work schedules and a long drive home were limiting factors. Scott was a gracious host and overall we had a wonderful stay!

Super Clean home with a tasteful, comfortable design aesthetic. The hosts’ responses were instant and so supportive. Their care of this special property was evident everywhere. Very well stocked kitchen, cookware, spices and great appliances. Also cooked steaks on the grill. Two of the bedrooms had king sized beds with newer, comfortable mattresses and the 3rd bedroom had two sets of bunkbeds. Bathrooms on the small side but more than adequate for our stay. Loved that our family had 3 living spaces to use- the living room, a fun sunroom with GORGEOUS views of the river and Saddleback mountain, plus a screened in porch too. We enjoyed being able to have our meals/snacks at the kitchen bar, the dining room table, the sunroom table and on the screened porch/patio dining table. Ceiling fans throughout the house. Our family of four consisted of 2 thirty year olds and 2 sixty year olds. We loved watching movies, playing games, reading and floating in the swimming area. Easily docked our 17 foot Shallow Sport boat on the beach/sand at the property. Caught fish daily! Kayaked in the river several times each day too. Large, well watered, green/grass backyard with a fairly steep slope down to the stretch of sandy beach. 10 plastic Adirondack chairs are provided by hosts in addition to several kayaks, and kid’s toys. We were there from Sun- Thurs. and hardly saw anyone else in the area. Quick wifi/internet, as well.So relaxing A GREAT stay that we will book again!

Beach vacation without the travel! The kids loved playing on the sandy beach and swimming in the lake with the sandy bottom (no yucky squishy silt here). The house feels like you are far away with the beautiful undeveloped landscape across the river. However, you are only a short drive to restaurants and the boat rental marina we used. The house is comfortable, recently updated, and stocked with everything you need. The owners are very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time relaxing by the water with beautiful views! We felt safe in and around the home, which is key with our young children. The kayaks were a hit too! We appreciated the attention to detail towards all the amenities, and the instructions and communications from Scott. The air conditioner and other appliances worked well. The backyard was maintained and enjoyed safely. There is about a 25 degree slope from the house to the sand, but we found a way to make it work. We loved relaxing in the sunroom while soaking in the calm views- it’s medicine for the soul! Thank you, Scott, for letting us enjoy your home.

This was our second time staying at this Lake house. Scott made booking and checking in/out a very easy and smooth process. The house is very well stocked and AC keeps the house cool in the hot summer. Beds are comfy. Nice views with short walk to lake. We had a wonderful time!

Perfect location! We did not have to travel far from the restaurants/ stores and the boat rental place. This beautiful home with a stunning backyard will be a place we will never forget.

Loved the location and the beach entry for the kids to swim. We had a great time!!! I would suggest bringing a pop up tent for the beach and water shoes as the sand gets very hot in the middle of the day.

We had an amazing stay with our family. The house had everything you would need and was very clean. We spent most of our time on the screened back porch relaxing and playing out in the water, which was a very short distance from the house. The water felt great and you could walk out quite a ways out on the sandy bottom. The host was kind and very communicative anytime we had any questions. All in all, it was a wonderful place to spend our vacation and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to do so. Also, a great place to bring the kids. We will definitely be heading back here.

We’ve stayed here twice a year for the last several years, and it’s become a family favorite vacation. It’s easy to get to and the perfect set up for young kids. You get all the benefits of a beach trip without the drawbacks! Our kids love building sand castles, kayaking, and playing in the water. The house is comfortable and well equipped. We’ve already scheduled our next two trips and can’t wait to be back.

The house is very lovely and I loved the sun room and back screened in patio. This place is seriously a hidden gem, the beach alone is what males it so awesome but the small cute house that has everything is pretty rad. I grilled on the charcoal grill all 3 nights, made breakfast each morning and it was so simple because they have alot of the small items (oil, salt/pepper, seasonings, pots and pans). Very close to an HEB, maybe 4 or 5 minutes away if that. AC worked very well and the house stays nice and cool. The owners take great care of this place and they have labeled stuff around the house and have board games, beach toys, Kayaks and other stuff to keep you occupied. We are definitely staying here again! Oh, and the views when you are at the beach are awesome with the mountains/hills in the background. My family absolutely loved this place!

This has quickly become our favorite vacation spot!

If you want lake front property this is the place! The beach was clean, the water was clear and it was quiet. No crazy crowds as the properties are privately owned. The house was very clean. 3 bedrooms with 2 king beds and one room of 2 bunk beds. One bedroom had its own private bathroom. I really enjoyed spending my mornings on the back patio over looking the lake. Very peaceful and relaxing!! Thanks for having us! I definitely recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed how comfortable, well kept and updated the house is. The beach area is nice and its easy to get in the water. We will be looking at another time to stay again.

We have had the opportunity to stay in several vrbos and this home was the best! We loved everything about it! Awesome home with amazing views and a sandy beach on the river, doesn’t get any better than that! Will make plans for another trip here!

Four fast friends & sisters of golden years gathered for a few days of relaxation, laughter and hill country joy. The view was spectacular from the sunroom and/or screened in back porch - both decorated so cute! Living room, kitchen, bed and bathrooms had most of what we needed, complete with a laundry room. A/C works great! Be sure to check with your host to confirm what exactly is supplied. We found most everything we needed in the house. H-E-B was just down the road for groceries and things we couldn't find in the house or that we forgot. The caveat to our stay was that there were a few more steps inside the house than we were expecting and one of my sisters uses a walker. That was a challenge, but with our help she managed. Plus, neither bathroom was outfitted with handicap bars and showers and were not as accessible as we would have preferred. We made do. One bedroom is not pictured on the website and has two complete bunk beds that sleep four people if you have kids or agile adults that can climb up to the top. We did not need the upper bunks. All in all it was lovely - I would definitely stay here again with grandkids, friends, whomever. Great home base for your hill country vacay.

We stayed with our two young kids for a quick getaway. The house was perfect and very clean, and the lawn and lake access were great for the kids. Great communication from the owner. We would be happy to stay here again!

We loved our time at this property and will definitely come back. The kids played in the sand for hours. The lake has very low traffic in front of this home and is very safe for kids. Our host was also very responsive and check in was a breeze. The beds are also very comfortable. We will visit again.
