Great stay - all family - parents in their 70's and 80's - kids in late 20's - house could not have been better - well kept, nicely appointed and exactly as advertised - proximity to beach access (less than 5 minute walk) and ocean views from second row were big positives. We had to reach out to host with one, self-inflected, issue and they responded almost immediately and problem solved. Definitely hope to return. Our thanks for a terrific week.

4 senior siblings and our spouses had a wonderful 5 days at "My Happy Place". We haven't been all together in 5 years and it was a great place to reminisce about our youth and laugh, as well as create new memories. Everything in the description was exactly as it said it would be. No suprises! The house was large enough to gather around all together, yet there was plenty of room for privacy also. I would strongly recommend "My Happy Place" for any family or group of friends, whether young or old.

The property is just as listed. With an injured sister on crutches, the elevator was a blessing. 1 minute walk to the beach. Balcony, patio, large kitchen and dining area are perfect for a large family/group. Only thing we would have like is more household provisions like tea kettle, blankets (we traveled during a cold spell), rugs in bathrooms for tub and sink, and soap/shampoo/conditioner since some folks assumed these would be provided. Also, although we got up many mornings to catch the sunrise, on the days we looked to sleep in, the rooms have blinds on all but small windows that have frosting but not coverings. Very bright mornings. Just gave us the opportunity to explore the town, early mornings. Surf & Java Coffee shop is a new favorite.

The property was very easy to rent & the manager answers you right back if you have any questions or concerns.

My Happy Place exceeded all of our expectations! The owners have truly thought of everything when it comes to making you feel right at home and comfortable during your stay. The house was immaculate, the ocean view was breathtaking, and there was more than enough room for our party of 13. The kitchen is fully stocked and the double refrigerator is such a nice perk. The speaker system was amazing and easy to use. We loved being able to enjoy music by the pool, on the top deck, or in the great room. I honestly can not say enough good things about this house. Trust me that you will not be disappointed in your stay here. Owners were amazing to work with and always so prompt in responding to my emails. I hope to visit again very soon. Great house, very comfortable with good ocean views for 2 nd row. The house is well appointed and you can see that the owners take care of their rental. It's a shame tho, renters don't take care of the cookware provided.

The house was wonderful! Was my husband and I . Our three children there spouses and 5 grandchildren. 11, 7 and 3 under the age of 3. Plenty of room for all. Great views from the decks! Loved hanging out in the pool after a day at the beach, which was a very short walk. We only had 2 small issues the items in beach closet need a closet look, we were told one- two umbrellas, one was completely broken and not usable. The other would not stay in the upright position ( we had to run get a couple). Were plenty of chairs in great shape! Also the housekeeper came at 9:00 am and asked to start outside. By 9:20 the pool guy was there, bags of linens were outside for us to maneuver around while loading up. Everyone was very nice just made us feel a little rushed with that many little ones to head out with, overall could not have asked for a better family vacation!

We had an amazing time at My Happy Place! The wonderful ocean views from the from porch balcony as well as the marsh views from the back deck were incredible! The huge well stocked kitchen with two refrigerators was great. The close beach access was convenient as well as the use of a beach cart and pool floats. We received incredible quick responses from the owner when we had a couple of questions.

This home is exactly as depicted on line. No getting up early to reserve a chair at the pool or spot on the beach. I was up early for sunrise and a cup of coffee on the deck, and then back to bed each AM. I found this house by searching on private pool and off to Ocean Isle I went, having never heard of it. So convenient. I drove down from MD and boyfriend flew into Myrtle Beach - a simple 45 min drive. Could see (and hear) the ocean from the beautiful deck. Ate all meals outside - sunrise was incredible every AM. Feared pool would be shaded by the house, but there was plenty throughout from 10AM (Aug). Full sun on the pool around 2:30, but by then you were looking for shade. Home is beautifully appointed and town is so peaceful. Was pleasantly surprised the commercial part of the town is down across the bridge - no more than 2 miles, which allowed for a true disconnect at home and peaceful nights. I've been a lot of places and this was by far the most incredibly relaxing , beautiful vacation I've ever had. House was beautifully appointed for a very large group (anything you could possibly want for meal prep and entertaining). Didn't use the majority since it was just the two of us, but while there, we wanted for nothing!

This house was fantastic. Great location. Easy access to beach and great views from the front deck. Owners were so generous. We had this trip planned for 2020, but had to cancel due to travel restrictions for several in the family. Eric was kind enough to push our reservation to 2021. We hope to book again soon

Nicely appointed home with plenty of room and a great layout for our group of 15. The kitchen was ample and perfectly equipped. The large decks on the top two levels were great and having en suite baths in each bedroom was ideal. The kids loved playing in the pool after spending the days on the beach and the elevator came in handy for loading and unloading. Highly recommend!

The property is as described. I am a novice at VRBO so I had some learning moments. I was expecting entry codes to pop up in VRBO app. However, the host, Eric, had sent me an email that I missed a few days before our arrival with good info in it, including the entry codes. I texted an hour before check in to tell him we were in the area and luckily for us, the house would be ready about 30 minutes early. Yay! However, I didn't realize I had the entry codes in email. After Eric asked if I had received email, I searched and found it. Problem solved. We had difficulty with elevator. We have a wheelchair bound friend that is part of the group. The accordion doors are touchy. Do not touch them once inside and moving. The outside door must be closed. If someone tries to open while someone else in elevator, it can cause issues. There are instructions but we still had issues. After a couple of lock outs, we got the hang of it and it worked well the rest of the stay. Eric was very accommodating and has a local man, Terry, who was very helpful. Our wheelchair friend could not operate the elevator by herself because once she was in the elevator her back was to the door. Therefore, she couldn't shut the doors. We worked around it after we got over the fear of her being locked inside. If the handicap person you are with can pivot, the handicap accessibility will work. Our friend has an electronic wheelchair that locks into a van so she can drive and allows her to tilt back in place. She transitions via board to toilet or shower bench. Wheelchair has to be at an angle so can slide along the board. Grab bars are helpful but not available at toilet. There was not enough space in front of the toilet for the angle and she also could not get to the shower bench. We've learned that wheelchair accessible does not always work for her. Therefore she travels with a bedside potty. So we made it work with the bedside potty and bird baths. The host provides a wheelchair door ramp from the parking area into the foyer for the elevator. A door ramp is provided from the main top floor out onto the front deck. That was great! The handicap beach access beside community center has a roll out mat and a bathroom. We used a sand wheelchair the first day but she used her own chair the next day. We set up in sand beside her while she stayed on mat. Helped immensely so she could lean back. Enjoyed the stay. Will keep looking for affordable option.

Our family certainly enjoyed our stay at My Happy Place! We were a family of 10 and there was more than enough space for us all. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was great! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking, even found a griddle for making our pancakes. House was exactly as shown in pictures and very clean! We loved the ocean view from the upper deck and certainly was our happy place for a few days. Can’t wait for our next trip to ocean isles beach and staying at our happy place. This house was perfect for our family. It was clean and had everything we needed for our vacation. It was easy to access the beach and we enjoyed the pool and decks with ocean views. There was one small issue upon arrival but Eric communicated it to us and fixed the problem shortly after we arrived. We enjoyed our time in Ocean Isle and will be back!

We travel a lot with family and friends. This was the easiest renting through VRBO and Eric ever. Home is beautiful and so functional for personal privacy as well as congregating as group. Owner very responsive. We had great time and recharged. The setup of downloading the rental guide putting all info at fingertips is great.

Eric has been a pleasure to work with and there hve been times when I hve had to call him and he answers the phone no matter what time it is, he is always available to answer all questions. I will for sure rent this property again, it is a beautiful home and has all the conveniences that everyone needs and it has been a wonderful Vacation for all of us. Thanks Eric for making this such a wonderful and memorable time for all of my family.

We had an amazing time staying here for our family vacation. The location is really close to beach access, the pool was great and we were able to get it heated quickly and the kids loved the color changing light in the pool. It was also nice that there was beach chairs and wagon for our times out at the beach. The elevator was great for our handicapped guests. All bedrooms had bathrooms so that was a great bonus. I would book this house again and again!

The property is amazing! The views are epic and all the amenities that the house offers are very nice! We loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom. The pool was the perfect size and the elevator was so helpful to load and unload everything. The views at sunset and sunrise are spectacular and the walk to the beach is literally a few steps away. We will definitely be booking our next vacation here again!

Our family absolutely loved our stay at this house. It is fully upgraded and very comfortable. The kitchen is a fantastic size, and the pool is one of the larger ones we’ve had. It has great access to the beach and great deck space to sit and relax. We would definitely stay here again. The owner was super easy and nice to communicate with.

We stayed in My Happy Place during the week before July 4th and had a wonderful vacation! Multiple generations of my family (15 in all ages 16-80) enjoyed the house, pool and beach. The house was clean and beautifully decorated and the two spacious decks were a great place to sit and enjoy the view. The beach access is very close and the house comes with all kinds of beach equipment for the guest's use. The kitchen was well stocked and the two refrigerators were great for our large family. The owner was very responsive to our needs and questions. This was our first time at Ocean Isle and we would definitely stay here again!

This is a great house. The front porch is huge with plenty of room to space out. The beach access point is less than a block away. The home is well-equipped including beach and pool floats and toys. We loved cooking on the grill as well as in the large kitchen. There is space for 12 at the main dining table and another 8-10 out on the porch. Plenty of TVs so everyone can watch their own stuff. The wifi worked great. My Happy Place is not cheap, but it is a great value when you consider all the amenities and the wonderful East End location--where the beach is not nearly as crowded as other parts of OIB. We had no issues with physical distancing.

What an exceptional property!! It was absolutely wonderful for our family to celebrate Christmas/New Years. There was plenty of space & everything was very well thought out for families. Everything went very well from making the reservations and checking in. The house was supplied well with a lot of beach items, kitchen was equipped great and the pool was just the right size. Location on the beach was good and the walk to the beach was about 200 yards. The beach was kept clean but high tide took a lot of it, low tide was great. Over all it was a great vacation.

Our extended family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house, we couldn't have been any more happy. The house is as exactly depicted in the description. It is a wonderful space with everything you would want for a place at the beach. The beach access is a quick walk from the house. Entry into the home was very easy and convenient! We are planning to come back next year as well.

I booked ‘My Happy Place’ for a family beach vacation and I must say the name of this property is very fitting! The house was absolutely gorgeous and very clean. My family has been vacationing at Ocean Isle beach since I was a child and we have been staying at the same place for years. Our last stay was more than disappointing because of the cleanliness of the property, and that is what made us try a different property this year. And I must say, I am more than pleased that we found ‘My Happy Place’! Every member of my family has already said they would love to come back next year and stay at ‘My Happy Place’ again. The house was more than spacious for the 12 adults and 5 children that stayed. The kitchen was absolutely wonderful for cooking large meals for the entire family, and the fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom was an enormous plus. Having your own private pool was absolutely wonderful as well, especially with the kids. The property we used to stay at was beachfront, but the walk to the public beach access from ‘My Happy Place’ is extremely short and no way impacted our stay in a negative way, even lugging a wagon full of beach toys and gear everyday! I just can’t say enough good things about ‘My Happy Place’! It made our family beach vacation a memorable one and we are already planning our return next year.

We loved the area. We had beautiful weather and even got to see the turtles hatch. It was so much fun. The only way it could have been better is if we were right on the beach. The pool was wonderful and it was so nice to have the umbrella and chairs available for our use.
