the two-room home was filled with comfort, with an amazing patio in the redwood. I ended up staying in Paradise Grove house. The creek is across the front porch. the drive to the place is out of a book. My host sent warm baked goods two days of my stay. I was so appreciative of the so many gestures of kindness during this stay. Don't hesitate.

We have stayed here before, chickens were penned up, this time we had ten chickens wondering around us, but then a goat came a wondering, so if you like critters, this is the place for you,. I'm to old to try and side step a goat.

The pastries and fresh sourdough bread were amazing! Definitely a secluded spot deep in the redwoods.

This is the second time I stayed here. The cottages are really cute and the location is great, surrounded by Redwoods. My dog had a blast swimming in Austin Creek right across from our cabin. Friday night pizza night is a blast. Great pizza, town folks and a band. Mark is incredible, the nicest, kindest person. And the fresh pastries for breakfast are to die for!

We had a lovely time the host was very welcoming. We totally enjoyed our fresh pastries and coffee in the morning before we adventurers out for the day. Our host even prepared a yummy pizza for us to enjoy with our kids. We will be back next year

The cottage was quiet and delightful, shaded by redwoods, and with cool funky outdoors areas to hang out in. There were lovely fresh baked goods delivered by hand to the door every morning and Mark was super nice and kind. We had a lovely time--thank you so much!

What we loved: - Clean and tidy - Everything we could ask for was already in there - coffee, towels, soap, small fridge, microwave, fireplace, heater - you name it - Mark was very nice - super responsive and even brought us breakfast - much appreciated! (The bread was 10/10!) - Redwoods! - Lots of books! - close to the coast for trail with sea views Manage your expectations: - The bakery was closed the 3 days we were there - This is a small town - the nearest restaurants are 10 miles away in Guerneville - The cabin is creekside but you cannot actually see it from your window can hear it if you have a keen ear - The view from our cabin was the back of the bakery but redwoods if you look up ;)

Imagine driving through a private roadway, up a hill and along a creek. At the bottom of the hill is a warm cozy 2-bedroom cottage nestled against redwood trees. You escape from the chilly clammy weather outside and enter and a brightly lit living room. You find the well appointed and stocked kitchen and 2 comfy bedrooms. After unloading your vehicle, you sit on the recliner chair to view the redwood trees and creek through the over-sized picture windows sipping bourbon. The following morning you find a sweet and savory pastry tray with freshly roasted and ground coffee waiting by your front door. This happens again the next morning and you meet the mythical host, baker, carpenter, handyman, locksmith, entrepreneur, survivor and all around great guy. You leave on your last day to head home... with much struggle and great difficulty. My friends, head for this Twilight Zone but be prepared to regret leaving it. Well, until the next time : )

It was a great spot for my wife, child and I. Next to a stream, the awesome baked goodies, and the cool history of this interesting forest bungalow. You'll have to ask the proprietor for the story ;P. We will becoming back. We particularly loved the quiet of the forest here.

We loved staying at the Creekside Cottage. Mark and his family were welcoming and full of knowledge of the area. The cabin was comfortable and had all the basic things we needed for a weekend away. We can't say enough good things about the baked goods or the surrounding area. Thank you for a great stay!

You'll be longing for seconds of the pastries and bread seved at breakfast! The creekside cabin is cozy and a great place to hole up for a weekend of Super Scrabble and a good book. Mark is kind and friendly, serves fabulous, fresh roasted coffee, ...and he's an awesome baker! 🙃

The cabin was cozy, the host was incredibly gracious and friendly, and the baked goods were out of this world delicious. The Friday night pizza party and accompanying band were wonderful!

We had a wonderful time staying in Mark’s cabin along the creek. Beautiful location with nice walks among the trees right outside the door and just a short drive from Armstrong Redwood Forest in one direction and the beautiful Sonoma coast in the other direction, there’s no shortage of beautiful scenery around. We went over Thanksgiving and it was pretty cold out, but the cabin was supplied with plenty of heaters, not to mention a cast iron stove in the living room that kept us really warm and cozy. The best thing was being next to a bakery! Mark had delicious fresh baked bread and pastries for us every day, as well as full, hearty breakfasts.

We had a wonderful time combining attendance at the Cazadero Family Art and Music camp with a stay in Mark's charming cottage. Thanks, Mark! A delightful visit! LINDA and JOE

Really enjoyed staying here. We could faintly hear the band camp across the road, which was cool, and aside from that it was very quiet and peaceful. Close to a lot of neat places, it was a good home base for our exploring.

Cute little cottage in the woods on a quiet property near a creek! We enjoyed the fresh pastries and the owner/baker Mark was so kind and helpful. We had our toddler with us and he went out of his way to make sure we had every convenience. The cottage itself is cute with a separate bedroom, sitting area with a mini-fridge and microwave, and nook with a tv and daybed. Oh, and the wifi worked well! We will definitely be back again, especially for pizza night. It was so nice to just walk down and play in the creek during the day, and there are a lot of nice things to see in the area also.

If you need a break from the hubbub - or just a reminder that people are awesome - then go here! The owner is incredibly refreshing and the space is just lovely. We had our 2 kids and dog and couldn't have been happier! We'll be back :)

The cottage we were assigned was different than the one in the photos but we loved it anyway. I wish we would have stayed longer.

Cottage was very clean and inviting. Cozy and had everything we needed. Mark left two brownies for us from his bake shop which was very nice. We enjoyed the quiet setting and hope for a return visit....great host.

Such a unique and lovely place. Mark is a one of a kind host and a beautiful person who truly loves what he does and does it great.

Mark is an amazing host from the moment you walk in the door till the moment you leave. The accommodations are clean and comfortable the bed was very comfortable and everything you need is in the Cottages. He even has a fire pit for everyone to join around in the early evening. He serves the most incredible baked goods in the morning.Wonderful experience and I will be back for sure.

Where to start? Mark the host - one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Willing to do anything he is able to make your stay wonderful. The bakery was everything we thought it would be and then some!! Breakfast was scrumptious with fresh baked items (right out of the oven) pretty whatever you could want. Then the custom espressos...all of it? Yum!! Friday nights offer a wonderful community experience as locals come to the bakery’s Elim Grove for the incredibly tasty homemade oven baked pizza, all while listening to a good (yes, actually very good) local band. The unit itself is rustic and charming. There’s no cell service, but the Wi-Fi easily makes up the difference. There is a redwood forest nearby offering easy to difficult scenic trails. Great experience!

My partner and I stayed a night here at Raymond's and we will be back sooner rather than later. The cottage is rustic and small, clean and cozy. Listening to the creek babble at you all night long was a dream. If you're looking for a generous and delicious breakfast of pastries and breads, then this is your spot. It's a family business and you'll be greeted by his lovely children in pajamas in the morning plus maybe a shy visit from the cat Minnie. There isn't any cell service available, so this is the place to come to when you really need to escape. I can't wait to come back and spend some more time here maybe this summer...birthdays are coming...

We absolutely loved our stay!

The cottage was a restful retreat. The vicinity to the redwoods and the creek is amazing. We definitely want to come back in the warmer months to swim! Mark was kind and his baked goods are delicious. He clearly works hard and cares for the community in Cazadero. We would recommend staying here.

we booked the creekside cottage for an overnight getaway and could not have asked for a more welcome and relaxing stay! mark and the kids were such generous, kind, and thoughtful hosts, and the breakfast spread of breads and pastries were fresh and hot out of the oven...mmmmm. we can't wait for our next visit!

The cottage we rented was clean and inviting. The breakfast treats were amazing. We were treated like friends rather than guests. The Friday night atmosphere was fun. Wine and music, how could you go wrong? The wifi was spotty so communication with the outside world is a little tricky. It was nice to be disconnected for awhile.

Wonderful property! The Friday night pizza and music event is definitely not to be missed! Mark and his family were very welcoming and hospitable. Thank you for making our visit a comfortable and relaxing one. And, the pizza... amazing!

We had a wonderful stay in a charming and quiet cottage by the creek. The staff was all very friendly and professional. All of their baked goods were delicious! We will definitely be returning in the future :)
