This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the this house. Very pleased with all aspects and even more with the courteous folks that I got to talk to and deal with along the way. The construction folks were very courteous and respectful once we got there along with the cleaning lady that I met because were a little early. I will be looking to reserve this house again in the near future. The new top deck looks great! Thank you all very much.

This house has everything you could want and more. I highly recommend it. There is plenty of room with 4 bedrooms and 4 and a half bathrooms. Lots of beach toys and chairs. The beach is beautiful and not crowded. The managers are quick to respond to any problems. I will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful view. The amenities were great, lots of different things to do both inside and out. Everyone said their beds were very comfortable!

This was a good place for an extended family vacation. It had everything we needed, and Sunset Beach is quiet this time of year.

Houses very clean and tidy. All the little extra touches provided were a welcome bonus. Great atmosphere nice walk to the beach quiet neighborhood for the most part. Hospitality very good.

Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Spacious. Just right!!!

We had a very nice stay here. The large screened porch is a special feature of the house and very enjoyable to sit in and listen to all the sounds of nature. We appreciated that the screen was in good shape too which is essential in that type of beach environment. The owners care about the property, are easy to work with, respond quickly and do their best to fix whatever issues/questions come up. We'll be going back next year.

Great Beach House. I would stay again.

The was house was everthing we expected and more. The beach was great. The walk to the beach was a challenge for my wife. She had hip surgery 3months prior. I would recommend this house. Great stay.

Accommodations were as advertised. Communication with the owner was cordial. They were very friendly and easy to work with.

We had 3 generations staying in the house. It accommodated us all perfectly. Except the kids getting up at 6am every day, but that's the way it is at the beach. Great FUN!

A charming beach cottage. It had all the amenities and more. We lacked for nothing in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms. A plus that there are beach umbrellas, chairs, and toys. I liked the photo of the original house in 1972. They even have games, books, toys and a telescope!

We loved our stay. The house was clean and well equipped with easy beach access. Great for kids.

Well equipped and the large screened porch was the best!

Will be back next year!

Lovely location and enjoyed access to beach!

Really enjoyed our week here! The open living area in the center of the house is comfortable to be in, the kitchen is well equipped, each bedroom has it's own bathroom, and the large screened in porch across the entire back of the house - furnished with rockers and parallel rockers and a table and chairs for outside dining - is a wonderful place to sit, sip coffee, read a book and enjoy the sights and sounds of the dunes and the ocean (just visible over the dunes, but easily heard). We spent lots of time out there. The roof extends far enough out to shade some part of it most of the day. There's also lots of beach equipment, well organized and in good shape. The house is located near the westerly-most beach access, so ideally located for the 2-mile walk down undeveloped beach to Bird Island, the Mail Box and the Little River inlet. Kudos to David for being so accommodating, adjusting our initial reservation to meet our needs, and to Alicia who responded quickly to any questions we had. I hope we will be able to book this house again next year.

Great for families

this house was wonderful and significant thought and care into making it a true vacation HOME. our only bummer was it lacked the convenience we were expecting of an ocean front home- it was a bit of a walk to the beach with stairs which was at times challenging with three young children and a wagon for all of the things for the three young children. it was our first time ever at sunset beach, however, and this seems to be the standard for the island. the actual house though was cozy, accommodating, and the kitchen was fantastically stocked. :)

We had the beat time. Quiet place, but enough things close by to do if you wanted. The house was even better than the pictures and the beaches were perfect!

Overall a good experience. Great location, easy access to the beach. Very spacious inside.

We have stayed at Surf Watcher before and once again we had a great time. The house being located on the beach is super convenient. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen was what we needed to feed the family. Plenty of private space for each or myself and my children as well as space for us to gather together. The week was great.

After living though a few bad experiences with local property management companies, I decided to try VRBO...I'm SO glad I did. This place was wonderful, felt more like staying at a friend's home than in a rental. Amenities were amazing and the 2 mile walk to the end of the island (either way) was a daily pleasure. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked! We are folks who cook every meal a the house and I never had to dig into my "rental house supply box" VERY unlike when I rented though the local property managers...again what a contrast this wonderful home was.

The house is absolutely amazing! Love that there were so many bathrooms! Best place to stay on sunset beach by far!!!

Excellent. Minor problem with one shower head which we fixed on our own. Hopefully back next year.

Home was clean, spacious, well-appointed, and with extra amenities. Liked the quiet neighborhood. Our only issue was with the tvs. We were only able to get two of the five to function. But since we didn’t come to the beach to watch tv, this wasn’t a real concern. Overall, a very nice experience.

We thought the location basically on the dunes was great. Very quiet. Unfortunately the house has a musty odor and just opening doors etc. doesn’t work to eliminate, may not work for someone with allergies. Nice kitchen, ice machine was a bonus but did not appreciate having replacement prices tags on almost everything.

Between the screened in porch and ample bathrooms, the place was wonderful. Some of the beds were more comfortable than others, but the location and screened in porch made it worth it.

The renting process was easy and precise.

The owner is extremely attentive to our needs, yet not obtrusive. The house is clean and roomy,, 4 bedrooms that worked out perfectly for us. He had maintenance men do minor sink stopper repairs and replace the separate icemaker, which now works fast & efficiently. He provides beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas and a beach cart, games, books, large screen T V , just everything you could need at the beach but beach towels! And who would want somebody else's beach towel? This is our second time at this owner's beachfront properties, and we won't stay anywhere else- Tim

We wanted an oceanfront house for a family vacation in the off-season (just barely, mid-September), and this house fit the bill. It was exactly as advertised, very clean, and while it's one of the older houses at Sunset Beach, it has been well-maintained and updated. Kitchen appeared virtually brand new! Everything we needed was provided - from linens and towels to hand soaps and beach chairs. The view from the rooftop deck was amazing, and the private little trail to the beach access walkway was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
