The condo was very clean and comfortable. Its right across tge street from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and the ABC store. The owners were very responsive and even provided great info, check out the Maui Happy Hour app (the owners told us about it, and we used it). Would highly recommend this place. The air fryer was a added bonus too.

Everything was as described in the listing. The location was great with lots of eating options, shops, and nice swimmable beaches.

We had a party of 4 including my toddler. The full size kitchen and appliances were great to have. The living/dining room was spacious and was a great place to hang around and share time with family. Nice size televisions for watching movies. It was a bonus being able to cast movies from our iPad to the television so everyone could enjoy the movies at night. From previous reviews you will see that the parking is right; however, the parking spot next to ours was always empty (got lucky). The pool was a nice retreat and was just a short walk down the hall. Don’t worry about chairs, umbrellas, life vests, floaters, boogie boards, wagon, coolers, ice packs etc. for the beach because Barb and Steve went out of their way to have all those things ready for your stay. All in all, we were very pleased staying here and blessed to have owners willing to go the extra mile for their guests. Our sincere gratitude goes out to Barb and Steve.

This is one of our favourite units that we've stayed in on Maui so far. The location is very convenient for both beach and other purposes. Parking is easy (all spots at Haleakala Shores are a bit tight, but you get used to it and it's not that bad - and there is very easy parking on the road if you don't like the covered stalls). Getting to Wailea is nice as it's only a few minutes away, and getting up and onto the highway to head other parts of the island is also very simple. Grocery stores are a short drive and there's a Whalers General only a few minutes walk away for any immediate needs. The kitchen was nicely stocked with most needed items (I'm sure it varies depending on what people leave, but there was salt, pepper, spices, some oil, syrup, etc). The in-unit stock of amenities (boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, a wagon, life jackets, coolers, etc) was also perfect. We didn't really want for anything. Place was nicely cleaned and ready for our arrival and the everything in the unit worked perfectly. Absolutely no complaints and the owners were wonderful to deal with. We'll be back!

The apartment is a good size. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen with all you need and more. A good starter kit with some dishwasher and washing machine soaps. Nice pool with 3’ - 8’ depth. So many great beaches to explore in the Kihei and Wailea areas. Parking stall is very narrow. Street parking on street. We were very comfortable for our stay. Never did figure out how to watch tv in the bedroom. Not sure if that was our fault or not but didn’t care.

The property is in a convenient location and it's well equipped with toys and beach accessories. Our family had a great time.

Not only is Kihei the best all around place to stay in Maui but this condo is also in a perfect place to hang out at local beaches and spread your wings around the island. Condo was comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy. Definitely recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay in this condo unit. It was clean and well-appointed. We have 4 young children who enjoyed the toys, books, sand toys, boogie boards, and flotation devices. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook several meals. We enjoyed daily morning swims in the pool and afternoons at the many beaches we could walk to. We also appreciated the close proximity to multiple dining options. We were able to keep cool with the a/c units and many fans positioned around the unit... Very glad we booked a unit with a/c. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Maui!

This condo was a beautiful property in a great location! It is impeccably maintained and the owners have it stocked with all you could need for a wonderful stay in Maui. They have left notes and all the shelves are labeled - it helped us feel like we knew how to find things and leave the place as we found it with confidence. Their closet of beach items was like the “room of requirement “ in the Harry Potter books… whatever you need is in there ! From coolers to boogie boards to beach mats … so helpful! We didn’t realize that we would be only steps from Kam 2 beach (watch for lovebirds in the trees there !) . We were able to walk to shopping and shave ice ( two essentials !). We enjoyed Maui to its fullest - Honalua Bay was amazing for snorkeling. Hit the National park for a Haleakala sunset and the bamboo forest hike. We also caught over 140 pounds of tuna and mahi mahi with Automatic Sportfishing … so fun and absolutely delicious! The other reviews had us prepared for the tight parking- the heads up helped and we were thrilled to have a spot at all in such a high traffic area. We would love to return and explore more of Maui with this as our home base again! Thank you to Steve and Barb for sharing your space with our family of six adults- it was comfortable and relaxing !

This place was perfect for a family of 6. Plenty of space and was very clean. Walking distance from the beach which is a plus. I’ll be staying here again if we’re back in Maui.

We had an amazing trip and really enjoyed this property! It was a short walk to the beach and we enjoyed breakfasts on the lanai. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay! The mattresses were really comfortable, the beach toys were great, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need to prepare meals. Our family loved it and we would love to return again someday! Steve and Barb are lovely to deal with. Thanks again Steve and Barb!

One of the nicest VRBO we have stayed in. Great decor, comfortable beds. Very clean and well stocked. Can’t go wrong booking this place. Enjoyed the boogie boards and beach chairs!!

Well equipped condo and a great location. Beach across the street, beautiful pool and BBQ area. Close to grocery, drug store, etc. easy access to Wailea for restaurants and shopping. Lots of boogie boards and beach equipment for kids and adults. Hope to visit again next year!

We loved our stay at Haleakala Shores. There is easy access to beaches, a heated pool on property, and plenty of great shops and restaurants within walking distance. It's also just a really good value for Maui vs the local resorts and hotels. Hope to return again!

This gorgeous two bedroom was fully stocked with all the amenities from kitchen accessories to beach toys. Super clean, exactly as advertised. Great location. Walking distance to everything. We had a fabulous stay. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful vacation home.

We had an amazing time staying at your place. It had everything we needed and more. The only complaint I would have would be the tiny little parking spot assigned. We rented a mini van for our family of 6 and couldn’t open half the doors while it was parked in that spot and my husband had to back it in to be able to exit the drivers door because of the pillar next to the stall. Not a huge deal, just inconvenient I guess. We would definitely stay again.

Specious, comfortable condo. Right across street from one of the best beaches and snorkeling in Maui. Plus shops, restaurants, groceries just a short 10 minute walk away. Best experience yet with a VRBO.

Perfect Perfect Perfect This property checks all the boxes. We’ve been coming to Maui for 8 years, always renting a VRBO, but our look is over because if this rental is available it’s what we’re going to book from now on. First, the location can’t be beat. It’s right across the street from not only one of the best beaches, but also a nice park with picnic tables, grills, huge shade trees, and an outdoor shower. Second, the condo is beautiful. It’s very spacious. We have 4 adult children so there are 6 of us, and we were not cramped at all. The kitchen is fully equipped, there is plenty of seating, large screen TVs, air conditioners, fans, a table on the deck, wonderful bathrooms with spacious showers, the decor is beautiful, and there is a great pool with grills, eating areas, and comfortable seating that we thoroughly enjoyed. They provide all the beach stuff you need from towels to beach chairs, even boogie boards and sand castle supplies. The washer and dryer come in handy, but it’s fully stocked with towels and extra sheets, pillows and blankets. It’s walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and souvenir shops. After 8 years of renting VRBOS for the month of December we have seen everything, and by far this is the best deal, best location, and made our trip the best we have ever had. I’m so happy we stumbled upon this rental. Well worth the price I’m pretty picky when it comes to cleanliness, upscale appearance and security, and it’s very private. Love love love it. Thank you to the owners for providing such a reasonable price. Definitely got our moneys worth and more. And yes, I’m a real person and this is a real review. Lock it down, you won’t be sorry, and it will totally make your trip to paradise even more perfect! David & Lisa Green

Great location and amenities

We enjoyed being close to the beach it is really a two minute walk from the condo. Kamaole 3 is a nice beach with all services: lifeguards, toilets, shower... better snorkeling is south but there is a little reef on the right end side where we see 3 turtles one morning. The condo is really as described with many little things you can bring to the beach, very convenient. Every thing was functional and we enjoyed our time there. Covered parking is nice too!

This condo was perfect for our family of 4. The king sized bed for us and the twins for our girls was just what we were looking for. They got a kick out of the movable wall too. I am handicapped, so the elevator and walk in showers were much appreciated. The parking spot is an extra tight fit (even if you’re not handicapped!) but we made it work. Everything was well appointed with starters of everything. I was worried that I’d have to purchase some more of the essentials like toilet paper, but it was enough for the week we were there. Everything we needed to know was documented in the big book. Things like how to access the pool, where to get snorkel equipment and how to turn on the TV. Internet connection was great too! It was super close to one of the beaches. Kam lll is right across the street, one block from door to sand. Just a bit farther to Kam ll. I think that was our favorite beach out of the 5 that we visited. I’d definitely stay again!

Thank you so much to the Picket family for having their Kihei condo on VRBO for others to enjoy. It was immaculate, well appointed with everything we could ever need from kitchen to linens to an array of beach items and more. We appreciated its location in the building ( quieter side) , close to the elevator, stairs, convenient shopping carts and the under cover parking. We felt at home. They have a variety of fans available in the unit which were so helpful in maintaining the perfect temperature inside. The lanai was such a welcoming place to begin our day before making the hard decision of whether to go to the ocean or the pool! The owners were also very prompt and helpful with all correspondence which was appreciated. We feel that Haleakala Shores is one of the best possible locations on all of Maui and would return here and especially to this unit in a heartbeat!

This tastefully decorated condo is the perfect home away from home. It is equipped with everything needed for a holiday in paradise. Coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, covered parking a massive flat screen TV , walk in showers and a fully equipped kitchen and covered parking are just some of the many amenities of this property . Having the beach so close made Maui sunsets very enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again soon!
