The customer service was excellent. Booking was easy. We really enjoyed the new hot tub. Unfortunately, the beds need to be replaced badly. The futon was hard as a rock. We enjoyed the location. We thought the subset would be visible from a west facing location but it was not.

We enjoyed the Whale Museum, Lime Kiln Park, Sculpture Park, American and British Camps. We visited the Krystal Acres Alpaca farm, they are so adorable and soft. We bought the bag of pellets to feed them. The San Juan Island National Historical Park gave us wonderful views of the surrounding islands. The only we didn't see was a live whale. Maybe next time. Would have been nice to have a fire pit to sit around. The neighbors dogs where in the yard made it hard for us to leave the dogs outside with us . Property was clean beds where small . Good spot

The home was inviting, clean, easy to get around and find things. The hot tub was easy to use and soaking in it under the full moon was so peaceful. Will definitely come back.

Loved the property as a whole. Plenty of space. Very clean. Quiet and private. Only a couple of critiques. They're minor. The towels were not great for the bathroom or the hot tub. They're very thin and older. The hot tub has two broken jets and the lights didn't work. No wood for the fireplace. Other then those minor things, it was a great getaway.

It boasts a lovely grass yard, a sizable deck and floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the water. I particularly liked the south facing orientation for ample sunshine.

We visited in August and although there were fans placed throughout the house it was too hot to be there between 10 am to 8 pm. With windows open the house did cool down at night. I can't blame the owners for not having air conditioning in a place where you probably only need it for 1-2 weeks out of the year. Most shops in town also didn't have AC. Also - like many other reviewers I would suggest at least one of the trees along the back deck be removed. Outside of this the home was very nice to stay in - clean, private, dog friendly and on the water. Trees and bushes along the property line made the yard feel very secluded and the little cove is quiet and away from most boat traffic. We also quite enjoyed the drive from the ferry across the island. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was stocked. Bathrooms felt new and clean. The location of Mitchell Bay was fabulous for boating. We had family with a boat staying at snug harbor (5 minutes away in the same cove) and we'd head out each day to visit roche, Friday, deer, and other harbors. Nearly every day on our way back we would see dolphins, humpback or orcas. If whale watching is on your agenda - the location is fantastic. Overall - our stay was wonderful and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

Great location! Enjoyed the neighborhood. Morning and evening paddle on kayaks/ sup. The yard was great for games like bocce ball and corn hole. We enjoyed hanging outside on the deck and at nite we played games in the house. Wonderful stay. Thank u

There are two bedrooms that were comfortable enough. The pullout couch was very uncomfortable unfortunately so sleeping options didn't really work for us - a couple with two adult children. The master bedroom does not have any door separating the bathroom from the sleeping area which is a bit odd. There is no shampoo, conditioner, lotion or tissues, although there was soap provided. The kitchen was functional. Our only real complaint was that on our second (and last) morning the lawn care guy was there power mowing, trimming, and leaf blowing for at least an hour starting at 8:20 or 8:30. It was really loud and interfered with peaceful enjoyment of the property for our last morning. There was no way to sit outside while this was going on and it was super loud inside too. Since we paid a small fortune for that peacefulness it was disappointing to have one of our two mornings lost. We would have appreciated the loud garden care to happen after our 10 am check out. It was also weird that someone came to spray for ants while we were there. We didn't want to sit outside during that either. Plus it felt strange being asked to authorize something we knew nothing about.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! My husband and I started with my parents and our 9 month old for a long weekend on San Juan. We brought our paddleboards and went right into the bay from the backyard. When not at high tide we had to cross write a bit of mud but it wasn't too bad. We even saw seals in the bay! The house was comfortable and very light filled. I wasn't sure what to expect because some earlier reviews said it was really outdated, but we found it to be very nice and perfectly appropriate for a low-key island getaway. I'd definitely come back.

We loved the island, lots to do and the house is nicely secluded for a fun private stay. If possible, I would suggest a door be added to the master bathroom and maybe new drapes on the French doors to help with the early 5:45 am sunrise. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend this property.

We had a nice relaxing visit with a beautiful view. The home was quiet and comfortable, and allowed for a tranquil weekend getaway.

TV was terrible. Wanted to get espn for football and was unable to. Local news was unavailable. Kitchen could use an update. Floors need to be cleaned better. Was told water usage could be a problem.

we wanted a quiet spot on the water to relax, the photo on the listing is out of date and in late fall/winter. There is a large hedge lining three-quarters of the shore that obstructs the view of the bay along with 3 small trees right along the deck. You have to position chairs off the deck to get a view. As my husband said as we left, "it could have been great..."

We very much enjoyed the house and the location. We loved being able to launch kayaks and paddleboards right from the back yard! As mentioned in previous reviews, the two couches desperately need replacing. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would stay there again.

As the pics indicate, this property has a great location for watching the water and playing catch in the backyeard. Watching sunsent from the hot tub is also a plus! The property is expensive for the shapte that it is in - it definitely is looking shabby and needs some updates making it a little expensive for what you get overall. But overall, a good choice for a family with 2 kids.
