This home was the perfect size, condition, and location for myself and my 6 friends as we explored offroad trails around Nellysford and Harrisonburg. The owner is responsive to questions and maintains a beautiful and uber-comfortable home. We stayed up late playing board games in the family room and used the kitchen to cook large breakfasts every morning. We did only find 1 spare roll of toilet paper and the rolls already on the spool of both bathrooms were quite low, but I'm sure this was just an oversight from the cleaners. We hope to stay for years to come!

The house was exactly as advertised and everything was easy as could be.

We enjoyed the Wharton property so much. Just perfect for relaxing and watching wildlife. Bear and deer... not at the same time.

We had a wonderful week in this lovely home. The deck is low to the ground so we could walk out into the woods without going down a set of stairs. The house is literally in the middle of the woods with a path to a golf fairway, and it was cool, comfortable and always shaded. We recommend this house without reservation.

I rented this property for a weekend with friends to get out and explore. The house was absolutely beautiful and clean. Great parking area for our large group, quick responses from Curt, clear rules/guidelines to help set up, quiet area, and so many people were willing to help us on our hike to get to a nearby waterfall!!!

The house was beautiful and extremely clean. Had everything needed for a great and relaxing stay. Being on the course was awesome and the dogs enjoyed sniffing around in the woods beside the house. Curtis is a great host and we will definitely be renting this property again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Chestnut Springs! The property is very clean, check-in was simple and Curt was very responsive!

Chestnut Springs was perfect for our end of season last minute trip to hit the slopes. The location is less that 5 min from the main resort, located on the golf course which gave us a very nice walking trail since golfers were yet to be out. The home is stocked with all appliances, cutlery and plates you could need in the kitchen. Plenty of games, foosball table and some DVD's for the kids. Loads of firewood and gorgeous fireplace to warm up with. Looks like we were about a week away from enjoying a new suana downstairs but thats for next time. Thanks for allowing us to share your home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family ski weekend at Wintergreen Resort! It was a much needed relaxing weekend with our children who are now mostly grown! We loved the beauty of the home with the high A frame ceilings and all the windows that overlook the golf course. The home was also extremely clean and had everything we could need for the weekend.

Great property 5 minutes from Wintergreen check in. Plenty of room at this house and it has a great lay out. Would look to stay at this property again.

This house has everything you need and more. For example, we didn't think to bring a sled, but the house had one. It was a really great stay, and the house is super nice and cozy.

Cozy cabin that everyone enjoyed. Bathrooms were clean, beds were comfy, the back yard view is amazing. The kitchen worked well and the first floor was great when changing out of snow clothes. Great weekend trip!

Very nice property, surrounded by forest and a golf course, close to nature trails and waterfalls, well-equipped very comfortable chalet-like house, great screened veranda. The host has provided generous supplies of quality kitchenware, linen, paper goods. Cleanliness has a room for improvement.

I have rented many houses at Wintergreen and this was one of my favorites. It is very well maintained and the kitchen is so well appointed that we had to get creative in finding places to store our food. When we had a minor problem, the owner was very responsive, and the problem was quickly resolved. I highly recommend this property. A couple of things for Wintergreen visitors to keep in mind in this COVID era: 1) Check beforehand about the availability of amenities. Some such as the Chestnut Springs pool and Rhodes Farm pool are only available to guests of owners if they are accompanied by the owner. That is a change from previous years. The house comes with Wintergreen guest passes, so you can use the spa pool for a daily fee, but it is operating at reduced hours Monday-Thursday. 2) The Wifi at the house is sometimes fast, but other times it inexplicably slows. The owner has installed a top quality router system, so I suspect the issue is with the cable company. Keep that in mind if you plan to work at Wintergreen and have Zoom meetings that cannot be rescheduled (as many of us do in the COVID era). These are temporary and minor concerns, and I would gladly stay at this property again.

We enjoyed our 4 nights at this beautiful home. None of us had ever been to Wintergreen Resort before and it was the perfect place to visit! This home was beautiful- super clean, a very well stocked kitchen and many other ammenities (towels, pillows, etc) that made it so easy! Any communication with the owner (Curt) had a very quick response time. The views here were beautiful as well. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much, Curt, for allowing us this little get-a-way vacation!

My family really enjoyed the house, particularly its location on the golf course and the nice outdoor seating area. The house was clean, comfortable, very well kept, and had plenty of modern amenities but with a rustic charm. Everything worked great, and we particularly appreciated the new appliances in the kitchen and the grill. The only reason I gave 4 stars for online listing accuracy is because they have more things than they advertise so they could use a quick session of reviewing their listing and adding updated features (e.g. keurig, roku, multiple tvs). My only minor gripe was that the wifi was touch and go but that's to be expected in the mountains and the point of the trip was to disconnect anyway! 10/10 would stay again!

We had a group of eight stay at this property, which is located right on the Devil's Knob Golf Course. What made this house stand out from others was that they included two member passes with the rental, which allowed me to play a round at Devil's Knob and go to Lake Monocan on a Saturday (members and member guests only that day). The house was perfect for what we needed, we loved spending the evenings by the fireplace and the mornings out on the screen porch. Lovely house, would definitely recommend!

This experience was amazing. The location was perfect. We enjoyed close proximity to Shenandoah National Park and the brewery trail nearby. Super easy booking and checking in. Already planning a return visit!
