I loved my stay at Kristin and Richard's place. They are warm, friendly, helpful hosts who make it very easy to settle into the studio and find your way around the neighborhood. I'm definitely bookmarking this spot for another visit.

The amenities were above and beyond for light cooking, use of personal electronics, sleep, atmosphere, and setting. The hosts were friendly and informative with timely response to questions. The property afforded privacy with the opportunity to enjoy a common garden patio as desired. We will definitely return the next time we visit the Pasadena area!

My stay was great! Only 10 minutes from my Son. The only thing I would suggest is a better mattress. Everything else was great! Thank you.

Property is nice and cozy, and has a common area shared with other lodgings that the owners have. There were some issues with a lot of mosquitoes due to recent rain but the owners were accommodating and provided repellent to help. Excellent communication and accomodation from the owners made for a great stay.

The location worked perfectly for us. I needed a location close by while work was being done to my home. We were only 8 mins away. It was the perfect size for me and my pup. Check in was quick and easy. The neighborhood was a great place to walk my dog.

Great property/location and hosts. If you are visiting Pasadena or San Gabriel Valley or Downtown Los Angeles it's ideal. Would gladly stay there again.

The overall experience at this vrbo was fantastic. A few friends and I stayed here for four nights, and the amenities provided were more than acceptable. The host was extremely friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable during our stay. I highly recommend this vrbo if you're planning to stay in Los Angeles County.

Quaint and quiet! Can’t beat the location.

We chose this location since it’s close to where our son lives. Not knowing what to expect of the neighborhood, we were thrilled that the neighborhood is very dog friendly. We took our Becca out for a walk a couple of times, and we met so many dog walkers along the way who were so welcoming. The studio was just the right size for the two of us and our furry companion. I highly recommend this place for pet lovers.

This place is a cozy, quiet hideaway. If you like reading, movies or cooking, you will love this place. There’s plenty of books, DVDs, and every kitchen item you could ever need. They literally thought of everything you would need. There’s even a guidebook with helpful info about everything in the unit, parking, and local restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Neighborhood!
Fantastic location in So. Pasadena! Close to everything and very quiet! Hosts were lovely. Easy check-in. We brought our small dog. South Pasadena has a great dog park! Thank you!

Great location
While the neighborhood was great and the property comfortable, check in was a little awkward. I did not receive instructions prior to arrival and it was confusing as to exactly where the unit was located -- back of house has 2 units plus a Hug motor home to walk around. Luckily the owner was home so I could get information
Also, cleanliness was an issue. The studio has a wooden beamed ceiling that was THICK with dust. Floors also not clean and dirty dishes had been left on the bookcases. One morning we were awakened by buzz saws at 8 am which was irritating.
It was a great neighborhood, and the privacy and safety were appreciated.

Cozy + Quiet
Kristin + Richard’s studio was comfortable and quiet and they were communicative and thoughtful in getting us checked in. Would recommend for anyone looking for an easy stay close to transit while getting some peace and quiet!

Brilliant south pasadena
Terrific location. Easy walk to local shops and restaurants. Groceries (Vons) about a five block leisurely walk. The Studio is in an enclosed courtyard with a marvelous (large, weathered wood) dining table outdoors in the common area. Inside? Cozy. Big TV with Roku, etc. Plenty of hot water. Well-equipped kitchen! Hosts very responsive - just an SMS away - otherwise unobtrusive. Bedding is a futon, as described. Overnight street parking requires a trip to a kiosk - car info is needed to register, so it's not practical to register a rental car before actually renting it. (Nothing the hosts can do about this.) Overall, highly recommended.

Friendly & thoughtful hosts
This property is charming and comfortable. Richard and Kristen make sure their guests have everything they need, including fresh flowers! I will definitely stay here again when I return to South Pasadena.

Wonderful little home away from home!
We spent nine nights tucked away in this little studio nest with our dog. Very private and quiet, a nice neighborhood to walk the pup. The owners were friendly and helpful with anything we needed. They have great pets and we’re super welcoming to ours.
The location can’t be beat, close to the Gold Line, restaurants, grocery stores, and the Farmers Market if you happen to be there when it is held. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything you would need to stay in and cook.
Overnight parking was an easy online purchase with the city of South Pasadena. Print out the pass and you’re all set.
Would absolutely stay here again.

Great area
Easy commute to Old Pasadena and great area to walk. Guest house was big enough for me and the dogs although there is not much of a yard for them. Parking is more of a production than I like...parking tags and going to the police station to buy parking was a pain. Owners are great. Still have not received my deposit back.

This property is a lovely example of Southern California charm.
My husband and I enjoyed a 3-night stay in this property safely tucked behind the owners’ home, yet with complete privacy. It was clean and comfy and stocked with anything one would need to cook their own meals, despite the proximity to restaurants and coffee shops. I also liked the common area outdoor seating and tables with grill, shaded by trees and large umbrella. Our schedules prevented us from meeting the owners personally, but our electronic communications with them were cordial and pleasant; and I greatly appreciated their kind assistance regarding a small item I left behind. We plan to return the next time we come to visit South Pasadena.

Cozy Cottage
After driving half-way across the country to move to L.A., it was so nice to be welcomed by a fully furnished/stocked cottage. Me and my dog felt so welcome and comfortable; the neighborhood was cute, quiet and close to so many amenities. The owners worked with me to extend my stay numerous times as I searched for a permanent residence, which was such a relief to not have to bounce around multiple temporary places. The owners were always available if I needed anything, so kind and a pleasure to be around. I loved staying here!!

So Charming!
We had a lovely stay at The Studio. Kristin and Richard were very attentive and helpful, and the studio itself had everything we needed. It was both tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped. The Studio is small and cute but it was enough for my two little boys and me (with the addition of the roll-away bed). The location is fantastic and the property is beautiful. We loved the common space! I highly recommend The Studio, and I wouldn't hesitate to book The Cottage from Kristin and Richard if my husband decides to come next time. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful spot, great location
We stayed 4 nights in the studio. It is darling and includes everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and bathroom. Couch folds down to a comfortable bed which we made up with the high qualirpty bedding provided. We loved the shared outdoor area. So beautiful, quiet and comfortable. This place couldn't be closer to downtown South Pasadena, yet is in a quiet residential street. They provided us with a rollaway so that our grandson could spend the night with the us one night. Kristin and Richard are easy going and accommodating hosts. And they just bought a super duper gas/charcoal grill/smoker that they were using for the first time. We will definitely be back.
