This clean and spacious home has everything you need, a perfect homebase, to do all the Cape things. Going to the beach, swimming, kayaking, riding bikes, cooking in, grilling, chilling, watching movies, etc. It is close to Wellfleet center and just a short drive to Town. The owners are great - friendly and responsive.

Peter and Leslie’s home was a very comfortable place for our family vacation including our grown children and granddaughter. Lots of space, beautiful artwork and everything we needed!

Rose Hill Cottage exceeded all expectations. The owners were extremely hospitable and responsive. The property, grounds, and privacy were better than pictured. House is spacious with wonderful natural light, and very well equipped. Good location short driving distance to everything in Wellfleet. It was the perfect place to reconnect with family & friends after a 2 year hiatus. We definitely want to return!

Everyone enjoyed this well equipped home with a private backyard, flower landscaping, deck, and screened in porch. We had fun exploring Wellfleet and the swimming ponds, and long dog walks on the close by beaches. The owner Peter was very responsive to any issues we had and took care of things quickly (for example, a hornets nest we found under the deck was removed within a couple hours of discovering it)! Great place to spend some vacation days or weeks. Hope to return!

We were four adults staying for 8 nights to attend a family reunion. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Strongly recommend

My husband and I stayed for 5 days for my daughter's wedding with my daughter and her boyfried, my son and his girlfriend and two dogs. The bridal party go dressed and made up for the wedding day in the house. The house was spacious and comfortable with plenty of areas for activities. When we had a problem with internet access, we got a prompt response. We would definitely stay here again. It was wonderful.

Great location, lovely home and pet friendly. What more can we ask? Did I mention near perfect weather? That too!

This was a wonderful home for our extended family to gather. We especially appreciated the very well equipped kitchen with all the gadgets you could wish for including a milk frother/warmer, oyster shucker and lobster crackers! This allowed us to eat home cooked meals, which was necessary given the COVID environment. We also enjoyed access to the kayaks (a pleasant surprise) and appreciated the hosts' responsiveness. The only complaint might be that the beds were unamde when we arrived and we had to gather sheets from the dryer and linen closet to make them. Otherwise, we had a terrific experience in this home,

We had a lovely stay. The gardens surrounding this house are beautiful. The house was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The host was responsive when we had questions and the beach chairs and boogy boards provided were perfect for our days on the beach. The bike path is a short drive away as is Wellfleet Center. The dead end street was a good place for kids to play. Great house!

Our vacation began the day that hurricane Henri was to hit our home town. Lucky for us (and all!) it fizzled out and we headed to Wellfleet. Little to no rain, no traffic, ordered takeout from the car (Bookstore & Restaurant) and settled in at 9pm. Peter & Leslie’s home is beautiful, comfortable and very well appointed. Lovely landscaping and outside space. I particularly liked the photos and art work. We all needed a vacation, and it was the perfect spot for us. Our kids went kayaking and enjoyed that. Close to all beaches, Commercial St and great restaurants. Many thanks!

We had a great stay at Peter and Leslie’s place. It was kid-friendly and clean. They provided towels, linens, beach gear, and kayaks (!!) for us to use. Peter and Leslie were responsive and the check-in/check-out process was easy. Would rent again!

From the start I knew this was going to be great - Peter and Leslie are very responsive and nice people. The house is well maintained , just as billed. Great location, quiet , lots of options for sitting both outside and inside. A pleasure for sure.

We had an amazing time, the house is really open and comfortable, gorgeous landscaping and owners were exceptional to deal with. We will be returning!

My husband and I (+small dog) spent a week in this spacious, light, and airy home. On the colder, rainy days in early June, it was clean and comfortable for lounging - reading, knitting, yoga, cooking, etc. There were many places to hang out - in the lofty living area, a games/TV nook, on the deck, in the screened-in porch, outside in the beautifully-landscaped yard. On sunny days, it was a wonderful place to return to after going to the beach or wandering around town. The climate control was amazing, the kitchen was very well-equipped, serving sets for many people - there was even an ice cream maker! The house was very dog-friendly, with extra bowls, and dog art all over the walls! :) Long iPhone cords everywhere were a surprise bonus. We didn't use them, but all the beach supplies were available, neatly organized in the back and bicycles in the basement. The location was great - it was quiet and close to town. We can't wait to return!

The property was exactly as described…actually it was better! We brought our dog and the whole back was fenced in so he could run around while we sat and enjoyed the backyard. The house was fully outfitted with everything we could need or want, and I even made a note of the pillows because I loved them so much! The only thing I’d say to take into consideration is that the open floor plan meant that anyone sleeping in the loft can hear everyone downstairs. If they are the last ones to bed and the first to wake then not a problem, but otherwise you can hear everything. But, with beds for 8 in the bedrooms that won’t be a problem for most people (our daughter didn’t want to share a room with her brothers). It was convenient to town and all the beaches and ponds, and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. It was fantastic!

We returned to this wonderful home after our summer vacation and very much enjoyed it in the fall season. The gas burning fireplace in the living room was wonderful for a cozy evening! Love this home and thank Peter and Leslie again for being gracious and welcoming hosts

Due to the COVID pandemic, my family has had to swap overseas trips with road trips within our home region of New England. We had a wonderful long weekend in Wellfleet, and the Rose Hill Cottage provided everything we needed in a rental. The house easily accommodated six adults and one 70-pound English Labrador; the rooms were well-appointed, light and airy, and extremely comfortable, including the back deck and three-season room. Though we did not use them, the house also came with bikes, kayaks, and dog amenities such as bowls, dog bed and long leashes for the beach - I especially appreciated how dog-friendly Leslie and Peter (the owners) are (photos of their sweet pup are shown throughout the house). Leslie and Peter were always quick with their responses, even after we checked into the house, answering every question I had. We also really loved the location of the house - the house is set nicely within a wooded area, but just a few streets away from Rt. 6, beaches and tasty seafood. I highly recommend this rental, and will definitely return to Rose Hill Cottage the next time we plan a trip to the Cape!

Leslie and Peter's property was a dream. It perfectly suited the 9 of us who were getting together for a girls weekend. The house was spotlessly clean and the floorplan/openness of the house made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy each other's company. The location was also ideal to be able to get out and enjoy the town of Wellfleet. Leslie and Peter were excellent hosts and made the entire process of booking, checking in, and checking out very easy. I would highly recommend Leslie and Peter's house to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay.

Our party of 5 + dog enjoyed this home very much. It is a spacious, clean, comfortable space and the bed was amazing - I have not thought of myself as a tempur pedic sleeper but both my husband and I had tremendous sleep there. We cooked most of our meals and had nearly everything needed, including a grill. (Tip: Hatch's market in Wellfleet has the most amazing selection of fresh seafood.) I would suggest reading past reviews to get a clear sense of the processes: what to expect on check in/check out, what's your responsibility as the guest, etc. I am guessing that many rentals on the Cape which employ various services have many of the same guidelines, so I didn't find any of the responsibilities burdensome (e.g. do your own laundering). My only recommendation is to do some research on the area for what's around in terms of restaurants/points of interest, as there aren't any documents/brochures/information folder provided at the house itself (which I've seen at many other rentals). But you can also just message Peter or Leslie for ideas, they are both SUPER responsive.

5 stars plus for this rental and gracious owners! The house is very well laid out, clean, and comfortable for a group....we particularly enjoyed the screened in porch! The beds were very comfortable and the house was stocked with everything we needed. The bikes and kayaks were a nice bonus which we used often. Peter and Leslie were extremely responsive... and patient with me changing my mind a few times about my length of stay, etc. I wholeheartedly recommend this house and hope to be able to stay there again in the future. We arrived at Rose Hill Cottage with high expectations this summer of 2020. Happily we were not one bit disappointed and could not agree more with prior reviewers that this home makes for a charmed getaway! It's lovely and spacious, well laid out, with a great location near town center and pretty much everything you could ever need or want on vacation. Just the respite we needed during these quarantine times. Thanks so much Leslie and Peter for sharing your wonderful and scrupulously cared for home! We had the best time.

My friends and I stayed at this house during our annual Oyster Fest weekend. We had some challenges with arrival due to a storm hitting the area and I really appreciated how Peter communicated with me so often with updates. The house itself is beautiful and perfect for a big group. It has everything you could need and is a great location - close to downtown, beaches and lots of beautiful nature. I would definitely recommend!

The house was bright and airy. We had no issues at all and the host was very quick to respond and available. The deck was divided into an outdoor open area and a screened in area which was really nice. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable, well maintained house located just past Moby Dick’s in Wellfleet. Great location for easy access to village and beaches. Quiet neighborhood, private lot. Well stocked kitchen. Loved the enclosed porch to relax outside at any time of day! Beautiful rose bushes and hydrangeas add to the charm. The towels could use some replacing, many show signs of wear. But we went at the end of the season, so that may be why. Keyless entry a plus.

I am not quite sure where to begin, so I will start with the owners. They could not have been nicer to work with and were very accommodating. Each question I had was promptly answered. I am sure we will rent their home again in the future. What can I say about this house? It was the perfect choice for us. It is clean, comfortable, quiet, private, well appointed, great for a family gathering, and difficult to leave at the end of a stay. From the moment we entered the home, made easy by the great instructions provided by the owners, we knew we had selected the right place to rent. The pictures do not do it justice! Wonderful photographs of the owners' rescue pup could be found in the first floor master bedroom. You knew instantly that they are dog lovers. The kitchen and dining area and family room are comfortable, inviting, and beautifully decorated (we learned that the owners are talented in photography and art). My whole family could be in the kitchen at once, with plenty of room to work. Wonderful serving dishes are there to compliment the large set of dishware and utensils. We were never without a clean dish or glass. Although we were unable to enjoy them in late December, there is a great screened in porch and a private deck at the back of the home. Both backed up to trees for a beautiful view to enjoy. For us, they served as a great place to safely leave our coolers and overflow drinks/food items. Off the powder room, the convenient washer and dryer were there to enable us to pack sparingly and not check a bag with the airline that brought us in from northern Virginia. Wellfleet is a beautiful community. We were able to take a short drive to the water to enjoy breathtaking sunsets. We enjoyed walks through the quaint neighborhood. I must say that my favorite things about the house, other than the wonderful living space, were the beds (amazing beds and pillows!) and the fireplace. Not only did we enjoy the convenience of a gas fireplace, but it is set up as the heat source for the home. Connected to the thermostat, the flames rose and dwindled with the temperature in the home. It did a great job of providing us with a beautiful fire to enjoy AND keep the home warm. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely Wellfleet home! Pam

Lovely, very comfortable home with beautiful landscaping. Wish we could have enjoyed the screened porch and the deck more but weather didn't cooperate. We ate out every night of our short stay but had we realized how nice the kitchen is we might have been tempted to cook. We appreciate the things that a newer or updated home has to offer, like central air and plenty of electrical outlets. The owner was very responsive by e-mail. Quiet location but not far from Wellfleet Center, Truro, and Provincetown. Great for cycling, at least if you have some experience, as roads are quiet (in mid-Sept, mid-week at least!) with undulating hills except on the flat bike trail. We're already thinking about another off-season stay.
