Six ladies getting together for annual girls trip. Beds were very comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, scenery was beautiful, we felt very safe, but there really wasn't enough seating in main living room to hang out. The cane dining chairs were very hard too. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, so we could take advantage of all the comfy seating on dock and on porch/patio areas to play cards instead. We really enjoyed our stay, house is beautiful with lots of stuff to do! Wish we had known 3 things more than only 24 hours in advance, as it would have helped us buy alternatives : the dishwasher couldn't use pods (needed detergent powder), the hand soap couldn't be antibacterial (due to septic system), and very minor nitpicking here but there was no reusable gold coffee filter. Our paper ones didn't fit the cone basket. Fortunately the thoughtful owners provided all the correct soaps, so what we bought and brought with us wasn't needed. Overall, would definitely stay there again if the VRBO fees weren't so high.

Really enjoyed our stay at Dragonfly. The house is excellent with everything you need for a nice getaway at Lake Gaston. The owners were responsive and easy to work with from the initial booking all the through check out.

Working with Tanya on checking in and adding a day to our trip beforehand was so easy! The property had tons of amenities to keep us busy but also a relaxing view of the lake. Tanya went the extra mile after we checked out to ensure something left was safely mailed back. 10/10 would stay again!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Dragonfly!! The home, property, dock at the lake, location, etc. were perfect! There were so many amenities, you were never without something fun to do, but if you did not want to do anything, you could lounge in the beautiful house, on the dock, around the fire pit, on the many furnished decks or in the hot tub. Renting the pontoon was an added bonus and I highly recommend it to see the lake. Such a wonderful vacation!

To say that this Dragonfly is amazing, is an understatement! The entire property is beautifully maintained & exactly as pictured. The home was beyond clean and comfortable. We had a fabulous, memorable, and relaxing vacation. With the pontoon, SUP's, kayaks, and water trampoline, there was never a dull moment. We would not hesitate to return in the future. Thanks to the owners for such a great place to spend our summer vacation!!

Dragonfly was the perfect family getaway. The house is very clean, well stocked. We enjoyed the lake, kayaking and the pontoon boat. The kids loved the game room and swimming in the lake. There is plenty to do in the evening with a fire pit and hot tub area for relaxing. Perfect place to relax and be with family.

Our family absolutely loved spending time at dragonfly! The house itself was so great and perfect for our family. Lots of fun things for everyone to do: hot tub, games, video games, exploring the lake on kayaks and paddle boarding, jumping off the dock, ping pong, fire pit for s’more‘s at night, it was an absolute dream! Because the weather was so amazing we also rented the pontoon boat and pulled kids around on a tube which they all loved. Tanya and Marty were extremely responsive, patient and helpful to us throughout our stay with getting access to the various available amenities. We live near Raleigh so this lake house location was extremely convenient for us - just a short 1.5 hour drive. The house is close enough to stores and food options although we didn’t venture out much as we were all having so much fun enjoying the house. We will definitely be back in the fall!

First time to Lake Gaston and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. The house was perfect, in a nice and quiet area . We enjoyed the hot tub, fishing on the deck and kayaking. Thanks so much for such a wonderful vacation.

We are pleased with our stay at Tanya and Marty's place, especially that they included the use of 4 kayaks with the rental which is the first time in my memory that owners do. There is a lot of space for a large group. Nice layout. Marvelously Large Hot Tub. The kitchen indeed lacks nothing. Also, two fridges in the house were a big help since grocery stores aren't very close by. We did kayak every day, thanks to the spring-like weather in December. Went to explore two nearby trails. Beautiful home, great spot for family or in our case all girls trip! We loved every second of it. Made so many memories! Especially loved the boathouse with bar and speakers. Eight person hot tub, tons of activities and beautiful landscaping.

The owners are very responsive and have done a great job preparing the home, dock and property for guests. This property has everything you need for an active family that enjoys the water: new paddle boards, 5 kayaks, a “bouncer that your 10 year old will love, and a pontoon boat if you want to use it. Off the water there are games, TVs in every space, cornhole, ping pong. The fire pit and new hot tub provide relaxation after busy days. This property is immaculate and exceptionally clean. Our week was just terrific.
