Great beach week at salty state of mind. Very clean, comfy beds, well stocked, plenty of room. New/different pool area furniture would be a huge plus.

Salty State of Mind provided a nice opportunity to get away from the everyday and spend some time in the Outer Banks. Despite the cold and rainy weather, we made it down to the beach for a walk everyday and enjoyed getting to know the Corolla area. The house is very comfortable and although it needs a few items fixed or updated, it suited us just fine. The location can't be beat.

This was a very nice home with comfy beds and at a good location, but I will never rent a home that is pet friendly again. Even though many of us are pet owners (but didn't bring them), the black hair left behind by the previous renter/renters was very unwelcome. Even after sweeping (3) times in the main living area, there was still considerable amounts of hair. Yes cleaning could definitely been more thorough, but renters are expected to clean pet hair left behind. The only other issue was some broken items that they either replaced quickly or will fix after end of season. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay and would recommend as long as you don't mind a less tidy home.

WOW! What an amazing week! We loved being on a beach block-the walk to and from the beach was SOOOOO easy-2 minutes! We also loved being in a community so close to shopping and dining. We walked to Duck Donuts each morning! 2 minutes drive BUT only a 20 minute walk on a shaded sidewalk. The house itself was perfect. The game room and pool table made for fun family evenings. New TV's and really fast internet! Well stocked kitchen too! You can even see the ocean from the various porches!

Couldn't of asked for a better stay! Had a problem with plumbing and maintenance was there within 20 minutes of request. Our pool and hot tub was spent flawless! Couldn't of asked for a better family vacation rental! Highly recommended!!!

Location was great! Easy walk to and from the beach and was nice being so close to so many great restaurants. Also, the homeowners were super thoughtful and we were gifted an amazing chocolate cake our first day at the house. Great touch! House had everything we needed and had plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable and stretch out. The only negative would be a couple maintenance issues that came up during our stay. Property management was quick to fix the issues, but we definitely went without AC on one of the floors the last couple days of our stay. The other issue that was a bit disheartening, was the frogs in the pool! Whenever it rained the pool would be filled with frogs. We tried to save some but a lot did not make it which thankfully none of our kids saw. But we did mention it to the property management. It may be something they need to look into because none of our neighbors seemed to have that problem.

The house was beautiful and clean! Minor maintenance issues were promptly taken care of by your maintenance staff! Patrick, your maintenance mechanic, was professional, courteous, personable and knowledgeable! He did an outstanding job! We really enjoyed our family reunion/vacation! Thank you to your staff! The entire experience was very professionally handled!

We really enjoyed the house and all its amenities particularly the hot tub and pool area. Located just a short walk from the beach in a nice neighborhood. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice property with lots of amenities!

This was our second time vacationing in OBX (Corolla) and this property met all of our needs. The house was available earlier than the check-in time and it was cleaned really well. We had a couple minor issues (noisy toilet, dead power outlet) and the management company was super responsive. They sent someone immediately and all of the employees we met at the house were very polite. We really appreciated that every bedroom had an en suite bathroom. The house also has plenty of puzzles and games, which are great for kids. 5-minute walk to the beach. We also used the community tennis courts, which were reasonably well maintained. Finally, we liked that the house is situated between Harris Teeter and Food Lion, 3-5 minutes away in either direction.

The property was perfect for our family of 10, ages 5 to 66. Clean and well equipped home. Communications from the property manager were helpful. Checkin and checkout were seamless. Hike to and from the beach with our gear was a little bit of a workout due to many steps over the dunes, but well worth it. Highly recommended.

The house was perfect. Great neighborhood, great beach access and well thought out floorplan. Also, the kitchen was WELL stocked with all the pots/pans/plates/cups/etc you could ever need. You can plan to cook anything and they'll have what you need! We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The house was great for our pet friendly family. We enjoyed its location to the beach, Harris Teeter, and the produce market. The bedrooms/bathes were good. The kitchen cookware could be updated as frying pans Teflon coating was scratched off. Probably not healthy to use them. Overall, a great stay!

Overall a great property for a beach vacation. This section of the beach has tall dunes, so carting large beach wagons or coolers to the beach is not realistic. The pool is shaded until the mid afternoon. We had a great time and would stay there again.

House was comfortable but the rugs on the stairs need a good cleaning or better yet a replacement. Pool was great but cushions on the loungers would be nice.

This house was very nice. Everything was clean, and the furniture was comfortable. Great location to shopping, restaurants, and the beach!

It was super easy to read and we really enjoyed the spaciousness at the house. Everyone had a bed and all the deck chairs on the front porch were awesome! It is just a short walk to the beach and they had lots of toys and chairs to take with you.

Everything about this house was great, it was clean, we got in quick, the management company was great. After our first night we realized the AC wasn't working on the second floor which is where everyone was sleeping. Maintenance was contacted and did respond quickly, there was a little miscommunication between family members about whether maintenance had been called and they were contacted twice. The maintenance manager needs work on his customer service and should probably be advised that responding to a customer via email and calling them an " A hole" simply because they wanted the AC fixed during an extremely hot vacation week is pretty bad customer service. Aside from his bad tone and customer service via email, everything was great and the AC was fixed very quickly.

We just spent the week at this property with 7 adults and two large dogs. Everyone had a blast and the house was better than advertised. It is a short walk to the beach. Even in prime season, the beach was not overcrowded. Back at the house, we enjoyed the backyard pool for cooling off at the end of the day. The great room/kitchen area provided more than enough social space for our large crew. I would highly recommend this property.

We booked the house in Jan 2021 in the hopes that life would be better by June and it paid off. We had 11 adults for the week and had plenty of space and time to hang out and get in some great beach days. We loved sitting out on the large balcony each morning and night enjoying the southern exposure. The Wifi and Dish TV wasn't working right, but it was an easy phone call to get it fixed. Thanks for a fantastic relaxing stay!

The location was easy walk to the beach with lovely pond behind the house full of turtles of which you can hand feed. The house has everything we needed for group of 11 ages 50-2.

Easy process, nice clean home. Plenty of room for kids to have fun and easy walk to the beach. House is well equipped and in line with expectations.

House was fully stocked in the kitchen! Half block to the beach. Pool was heated and wonderful. Small sitting room perfect for baby to be separate but near master king room. Nice entertainment room on bottom floor. Beautiful lake with trail for daily walks. Just a beautiful welcoming home. Thx for the hospitality

We have no desire to rent this property in the future. Although the property was adequate, pet friendly, and the access to the beach was a short walk, the neighbors were not pleasant to be around. The neighbors called the realtor company and stated lies about our family and the property. They stated that the outside was, “trashed and there were teenagers in and out of the house at all hours of the night.” They also complained about a political flag that was hanging in front of our house, which many houses on the block had political flags hanging as well. They demanded for it to be taken down. The realtor expressed these concerns the neighbors were having and the multiple phone calls she had received. She stated the owner, “was furious.” This same day that we received these phone calls from the realtor company and unannounced man that claimed he was a “pool service guy” came into the property. He showed up in an unmarked car, no shirt, and let water out of the hot tube which went all over our belongings. He didn’t apologize for getting all of our stuff soaked. He said, “we come here twice a week to clean the pool and hot tube.” Meanwhile he didn’t go back to the pool. All he did was let the water out, and packed up his truck and left. If you have different political views than the neighbors, and want announced visitors at your place while you have pets there. This is the place for you!
