Our group loved the place. Our young children really appreciated having the books and utensils for them. It had plenty of kitchen items to be able to cook a meal. The instructions for check-in and -out were very clear and simple. It also has a beautiful view of Mount Adams during the day! We loved it.

Perfect place to get together with friends and family. TVs could use some updating but otherwise everything is great!

This house was in a great location. We could walk to downtown. The space was huge and fit our large group with lots of extra space for the kiddos. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Hood River. We had no issues while there and hope to be back again.

I planned a surprise birthday party for my husband’s 60th birthday, and had friends and family coming from Oregon and Washington. This place couldn’t have been better. There was enough space that we weren’t on top of each other (we were a group of 12) but still could all gather in the living and dining room for meals drinks and games. We walked into town, some went on hikes while others went for beers at a brewery. The view of Mt. Adams is perfect for a moment of respite if you’re in a crazy group of 12. We definitely got lucky with the weather, but everyone in our group commented on how perfect this property was. We loved it and plan on making Hood River and this rental our future gathering spot. Many, many thanks to Amy for being so accommodating and responsive to my million questions and emails. 10/10!

Clean place with plenty of rooms for our extended family. Nice view too!

Loved being able to walk to town and the excellent nearby playground. House was comfortable for a large group of 11 with three toddlers who all very much enjoyed the small kids table!

This house was great for our family get together. The kids had a blast playing in the lofted area downstairs and there were lots of kid friendly activities that kept them busy. Tons of space and everyone was very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Good space but could only find about 6 wash clothes for 12 adults. Mattress were not very comfortable on some beds. Not very clean and rugs had stains. Some scratches on counter between refrigerator and Cupboards. Fairly quiet. Directions about recycle were confusing.

We stay here for a weekend and really didn't spend too much time at the house but the time we did stay there was great. Everything is as described and easily slept 8 adults.

Enjoyed our stay with family traveling for a wedding in Hood River! House was spacious and clean, close enough to walk into town.

This is my second time staying here. It’s great for a weekend away with friends and is a great location. Property is clean and has everything you need.

This is the 2nd year we rented this property. Each couple was able to have their own bedroom and the two living areas didn’t make the house feel crowded. Great location.

We didn’t have much of problems, besides of some minor stuff. Like, garbage wasn’t picked, or no garbage disposal, or shortages of hot water. But overall the property was suitable for our big family with children

Loved this house for our two family holiday getaway. Plenty of room for everyone and the two levels made for a little privacy for each. Great location near restaurants and activities. Internet was a little slow so we used our hot spot instead. Kitchen had everything we needed, lots of kid-friendly dishes too. We will definitely stay here again next year for our yearly Xmas Train trip.

My family enjoying getting together in Hood River this year and this vacation home ended up being perfect for us. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group. The kitchen was extremely well equipped for holiday cooking. We enjoyed the view to Mt. Adams that could be seen at times from the dining area and the ability to walk to the downtown Hood River shopping district from the home, and yet the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. This is not a fancy house, but functional and we would definitely rent again.

Lots of bedrooms and a nice big table for games

This house was perfect for our annual reunion of six college friends. The house was clean and well-stocked. , with comfortable bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. It has a peekaboo view of the river and Mt. Adams. A large, private deck with tables overlooks a lovely yard. Easy walk to downtown Hood River's shops and restaurants. One minor complaint: the living area's seating was limited, even for six people. We took turns sitting on the ottoman. This is only an issue if your group will be spending a lot of time in the same room together. I highly recommend this home!

This home is excellent in design, comfort and location.

I rented this home for a family get together weekend. My family is large, and 6 siblings with spouses would be attending. One couldnt join us at the last minute. This home was plenty big enough for us all. It was clean and very well supplied. We all agreed to make this a yearly adventure and i know that my first choice would be this house. Thank you!!

The house/kitchen/bathrooms were well stocked with what we needed, had a great outdoor / bbq area, and it very walkable to the downtown area. The only downside was that the internet wasn't always reliable with multiple people working.

We spent the last week in August at this location. Our family, of seven adults and three children fit quite comfortably. The lower level was perfect for one daughter and her family which included a four year old, and an almost three-month old baby. We have stayed at countless rentals over the years, and I have to say this locations was by far the most well equipped. What you do not see in the pictures are the items inside the cabinets.... plenty of china/silverware, bowls, pots/pans, glasses/mugs, even children's plates and utensils. Oh, and the spices, paper items, and junk drawer essentials were outstanding. We felt as though we were at home, just at a different house. There were even two high chairs! While there, in addition to my son's wedding, we enjoyed a train ride, paddlewheel boat ride, local food, lavender fields, found a great children's store, and had an exceptional shopping experience at The Ruddy Duck. There were also some great playgrounds for the children. The back yard was a favorite spot for the children to run up and down the hill. We also enjoyed the flowers that were still in bloom. The deck and grill areas were utilized as well. Our flight was delayed with over half of us arriving a day late, and one even a day later. Though no fault of our rental, it threw off some of our plans. The trash pick-up schedule did not coincide with our dates, and we generated lots of trash. Fortunately, my son who lives there, picked up our excess. We are from the South and accustomed to sweltering heat and cold air conditioning. The air conditioners could have put out more cool air, but there were plenty of fans for those of us who were uncomfortable. We highly recommend staying at Cascade Haus. If the opportunity for a return were to arise, we would not hesitate to book again.
