Amazing location. Gorgeous ocean view. Easy to circulate with a wheelchair. We had a great time.

This place is sitting exactly where you want to be and when the sun goes down there is plenty to do right in the basement! The house is more spacious than the photos make it seem especially on the upper floor where the kitchen/dining/lounging area is. The second floor lounge area is also bigger and the master bedroom/bathroom is palatial.

This home is literally right on the beach! The views are incredible from all 3 decks. We had perfect weather and spent dawn to dark outdoors. There is so much to do in the house you would not need to go out in search of entertainment in the event of less than perfect weather. The 3rd floor/kitchen area was our major gathering area but there were plenty of other spaces to get away as necessary. Loved loved loved our stay and hope to return as soon as we can coordinate schedules. Thanks to our wonderful host and family for sharing this delight. Oh an i almost forgot the sunrises are well worth getting up early!! Can sit right on deck and watch.

Modern, clean, light-filled house with charming details throughout. Photos don’t prepare you for how stunning the ocean view is (and how spacious and bright the top main floor is). Visited during off-season in October with family (all adults, but kids would have a blast here, too). The owner touched base on our second day to make sure all was good. Check-in was easy using the provided door-code. Elevator was essential for our handicapped mom, but also made move-in and move-out easy. Kitchen has “everything”, including a gorgeous gas stove. Dining room easily accommodated us seven adults. We cooked almost all week. Recommend Wally’s restaurant, which is a short walk around the block. Surf City is a fun little town. “Two thumbs up!”

Family vacation with 9 adults and 4 kids and the house was amazing. The elevator was great for the grandparents and the basement game room was awesome for the kids. Plus the owner was very quick responding to all of my questions. I would definitely rent this home again!

We enjoyed staying on the beach, taking walks and using the hot tub. It is very spacious.

We had a really great stay and would stay again! Could use a little TLC on minor things (few broken outdoor chairs, finicky dishwasher, old walkway to beach) BUT the views, game room, private beach access, parking, and overall size far outweighed them. Klaus was also nice, responsive, and came by when we needed. We had a really fun stay and cannot stress enough what wide views you have and the proximity of the beach. My mother has reduced mobility so the elevator and upstairs master were critical to her enjoying the stay.

The basement smells of moth balls, disgusting! The return air vents were covered in dust, I’m allergic to it. My brother had to vacuum them! The wooden walkway to the beach is dangerously in disrepair, it is a law suit waiting to happen! The top of the kitchen cabinets were filthy with dust. The lighting in the laundry room is horrid. The blinds in the Jr. Master we’re broken, we had scotch tape them together for privacy! The dining chairs were filthy, sticky & dirty. The mattresses are needing replacements. The spread on the Jr king smelled dirty. Pillows had no washable zip covers, disgusting . We were very disappointed, it was like staying in a dirty motel!!!!!!

Great weekend with friends. The location and property were perfect for our fun group. We want to book it now for next year!

Everything about this property was perfect for our week. The owners supplied all the necessities and more. It was like being in our own home for a week, rather than vacationing in someone else's home. It was wonderful!

The owner didn't contact me with instructions to get into the house. He never answered his phone. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with Vrbo trying to figure it out. He finally called me back and didn't even apologize or act like anything was wrong. He then time us to leave by 10 am when my Vrbo contract said 11 am. There are other houses on Long Beach Island that will be more fun.

Great location, very clean, amazing stay.

Had a wonderful vacation at the shore. The owner was very helpful and responsive. We had an issue with the downstairs refrigerator not working and he kept in touch with us and delivered a new one timely. The interior was better than the photos. Spacious and con for table and we really enjoyed the hot tub. As we rented it for two weeks the cleaners set up a cleaning while we were there that was convienant for us. The space was clean and very comfortable. We would rent again. E and K T

This property is fantastic. The proximity to the beach is supreme. The views allowed us to watch dolphins everyday. It is a super clean and comfortable place much like home but without the cluttter! Hope to be back soon.

We’ve been renting on LBI each summer for years. We’ve changed houses a couple times only as our 2 families needs have grown. Our criteria is a house is directly on the beach and pretty nice. This house meet one of that criteria.... The AC works well and the view is great. Those are the only pros we can attest to.... -master bedroom bath horrible BO smell. In curtains, around toilet, closet. We couldn’t source where or what was the actual cause of the stench. -master junior bath towel rod hanging off the wall. Literally the screws and pieces of Sheetrock hanging along with rod. -ac vents are black with clumps of dust and god knows what else. -exterior deck lights don’t work. Which is fabulous for sitting on deck in evenings -dirty overall. We expect some level of beach house sandy, but this was nuts. -2nd fridge doesn’t work. Not so great for a house that sleeps this many to only have 1 working fridge. -game rooms are the garage bays - which are where you store all the trash cans among other industrial equipment. The trash cans would need to be moved outside to play ping pong. If you care to sleep or hang out down there, know it’s not connected to the main hvac system. So it’s musty and humid. Oh but you’ll be hanging out or sleeping next to the hvac equipment. -1/2 bath in garage bay level is a toilet in the middle of the fridge room. Not kidding. -upon arrival heavy heavy oil smell thruout house which turned out is gas - owner said he’d send someone over to ck it out. No one came and he never followed up. -railings on circular stairs so many loose and some missing all together. Huge safety issue. -the private beach access is very narrow and the wood is splintered all over. Oh and watch out for the wasps that have nested in holes thru out the wood path. Due to lack of cleanliness we did not dare use the hot tub. There is more, but if you read this far you have probably heard all you need to hear. For the price of this house, we expected absolutely amazing. We would have been happy with just basic essentials and clean. This house provides neither. We left the house cleaner than we found out. When finally the kids asked why we were trying so hard to make the place nicer than when we arrived, we were done. Oh and we also met a few of neighbors who are so upset about how the house is not being maintained. Truly a waste.

Lovely house fantastic location

First and foremost you will be hard pressed to find a better location. You literally walk out of the house onto the beach and the house is in a great location in Surf City. The roof deck was incredible. Our family had a great week! Klaus was very responsive, considerate and accommodating to us throughout the process. I give him five stars for his efforts. Related to our cleanliness rating, I would give it a 3.5 stars. The house itself was clean and there was no concerns regarding the living space but certain of the smaller appliances (i.e. coffee machine, toaster etc), shower-head, game room, walkway out to the beach and deck furniture could use a little more TLC. All that said, we would without doubt stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the property. The owner was very helpful and assisted us with our plans. We had a family reunion in the house with many over 70 years old, the elevator was a lifesaver, and the house had a beautiful view and accomodated the entire crew. Hot tub, ans​ walk outside the back door to the beach every day made it most enjoyable.

My sisters family and I rented this family home for the week and took our elderly parents. We had a fabulous time! The house was laid back casual and well stocked with everything for the beach - cooking and eating gear, beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, puzzles, chaise lounges and more. The elevator was essential for the older people in our group - it worked great. The ocean front view from the main living room kitchen on the 3rd floor was mesmerizing. Thank you for a wonderful trip. We are looking forward to coming back next year.

Absolutely love this house! Beautiful views, comfortable beds, plenty of room for families to spread out. Centrally located in Surf City so you can walk to stores, restaurants, church, etc. Would definitely come back to this beautiful home.

This is a home, not a hotel. The owner was available for our stupid questions. Elevator was great for the elderly, luggage and groceries. The view is amazing. The deck was roomy for our family reunion. Good dining nearby. Close to the road to the mainland. The book the owner gave had all information needed. Our only problem was figuring out the washing machine because it is so new. We want to go back and so do our friends that visited us there.

This is without a doubt my favorite reason to visit LBI! The Ulbrich home is a perfect place to stay, providing a spacious and absolutely beautiful surrounding to enjoy any vacation! I am always more than happy to stay there!
