This house was perfect for our annual Thanksgiving reunion. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

We loved the lake and the house. There could have been a few more seating for our large group of 37, but overall it was great!

This is a beautiful home, situated on an incredibly nice, level lot. I hosted 8 managers for a corporate retreat and this property worked perfectly for our needs. The host was very responsive too!

This is a great property on Lake Norris. Our larger group loved the house and the instant access to the water. We had an issue with the kitchen sinking leaking but the maintenance crew was right in it and had us up and running in about 2 hrs. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed every aspect of this home. And the owner was wonderful to work with and quick to respond to any questions. It was an awesome vacation!

This house was gorgeous and large enough to fit all the family and friends we had stay. The property is clean and made for the perfect relaxing week at the lake. The views are unbeatable- you won’t regret staying at the field of dreams!

After over a year of being apart due to the pandemic, my immediate family (my parents, grandparents, uncles/aunts, cousins, and our kids) were so excited to get together for a big family Christmas. John’s place was perfect for our group of 20+. We had an amazing time. The house and property was immaculate! Beautiful views, attractive and cozy accommodations, and an overall perfect setting made things absolutely perfect. The place was HUGE, clean, beautifully decorated, and everything we needed was there. John was great during booking and the check in process was seamless. This trip was everything my family hoped for plus more. While the location and views are stunning once you get to the property, the drive there is a scary one. Be prepared for narrow, windings roads, with some very steep cliffs to climb. For the 30 mins it took us to climb those mountain hills carefully, I was absolutely terrified. Scary drive aside, the views will take your breath away while you’re there. And plan to stay there because you only want to make that scary drive twice: to come and to leave. Lol. This is not the place to go if you want to move around a lot in my opinion. Lucky for us we had no plans to do anything but spend time together, resting and relaxing. The location is absolutely perfect for that. Other than the scary drive, I’d say our experience was perfect. I did ask several questions in preparation for our trip that were left unanswered (i.e. Would a Christmas tree be there, decorations, could we have things delivered in advance, area activities, etc.) but we just brought our own tree, decor, etc., and after arriving at the property I realized several of my questions were moot. Amazon was not making that drive and we weren’t going anywhere. Lol. Overall, we definitely had a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend this property. Thank you John for helping our family reunite in a beautiful place ♥️

The owner does not communicate! We arrived late and couldn’t get in. The “Here are the keys to your upcoming trip” email doesn’t tell you anything. I called and texted the owner with no response, the security guard and VRBO tried to reach him too, with no luck. We finally got in the next morning by about 10am, after spending hours in 28F weather. The house and property are nice, but it’s remote so make sure you have everything needed: no soap, no trash bags, no dishwasher detergent, no TP, etc.

Beautiful house with wide open spaces for family to gather both inside and outside. Perfect home for a family to rent. Great location beautiful view. The house is even more spectacular in person than in the pictures. We will stay here again!

Loved our stay!! There was 15 adults and 6 children, but still room to be seperate when you needed a break from the noise and activities! The dear strolling thru in the evening and morning was really nice too.

Great location. Many of our group did not show up so we had plenty of extra space. Nice location. We already knew that the property was going through off-season maintenance, so some of the small things weren’t an issue. Will definitely consider renting again.

PRO -Awesome views- the wall of windows on main level is fantastic -Great location on lake -AC works great - Great to have 2 refrigerators I know some people complained about fridge temp and keeping things cold - we had no issues with that - -Plenty of space for 16 adults and dogs -Hot tub was a plus -Really nice ping pong table -Beds are comfy and firm , although one of the couples bought a mattress topper for downstairs master after the first night ( said bed was too firm ) -large yard easy walkway to the dock ( not to steep like many other homes on the lake) Would’ve been nice if grass was mowed - 4 days into our stay it was very high and we were unable to play our yard games -Quick response via email of property manager CONS -some furniture breakdown / tears etc but still comfy and owner states they plan to replace at the end of the season -main level shared bath shower pin does not stay up for full shower spray - after a few days our family was frustrated and doubled up and used other showers instead -Would be nice to have table with umbrella and chairs on upper level dock deck- -No blender in home -A few storage/ Tupperware containers but no matching lids -No muffin tin -Air hockey machine doesn’t work -No water toys. no kayaks, paddle boards, floats at this property for guest use -A dock patrol came by to adjust dock due to changing water levels there was a mistake made and they didn’t rehook a cable and the dock and ramp moved considerably and we could no longer step from stairs on to ramp to get to the dock. When I informed property manager with a picture, and informed him this was unsafe he replied to my message with a phone # to call and contact to ask them to come back and fix . I thought this was very unprofessional. They should have followed through on this not expected the guest to do that ! HELPFUL HINTS -They aren’t kidding when they say no supplies and to bring your own There is no soap , 1 roll of Paper towel , 1 roll TP in each bathroom , no beach towels at all and 4 towels per bathroom --If doing boat rentals especially in the summer- plan ahead as they run out and we highly recommend Oasis Watersports, Eric was great to deal with and they were very quick to respond when we thought we had an issue ( was our user error🤷‍♀️)

We had 9 adults and 9 children under 8. Pictures don’t do it justice. Place was beautiful and plenty of room for everyone, to be together or just off by yourself. It was overcast/rainy most of week but we still had great fun in the water. Lawn was big but hadn’t been mowed so a little too long for kids to play but everyone had a relaxing good time

This home is amazing. Everything we needed was there. Location was perfect and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for the perfect family vacation.

Our family group is quite large and this property held all of us comfortably. Unlike most other properties on the lake, this one has a large back yard that is a gentle slope - so nice for the kids to run around in! The central gathering area was also perfect for us, and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms gave us enough space to house everyone. However, because we visited in the off-season, it seemed like a few things had slipped in the care and maintenance of the property. There were some issues with cleanliness and damaged items in the home when we arrived. Fortunately, the manager of the Field of Dreams property was quick to communicate back and address our issues, and seems to be putting some measures in place to ensure some of the problems don't happen again. Overall, though, staying here was a great experience that my family enjoyed!

This place is absolutely amazing. Perfect for any family gathering. Even the teenagers did not want to leave when our stay was up. Check in was super smooth. The place was not really very clean when we arrived and we had to wipe down countertops and sweep the floors. But with Covid we figured no one had stayed here in a while. Other then that one issue our stay and the place were absolutely perfect for our family of 30 plus people! Would definitely rent again.

We loved our stay at this home. Beds are very hard so if you like soft beds bring memory foam toppers with you. Someone came and messed with the dock. It ended up on the shore after they did something with the cables that hold it to the shore. We had plenty of room for the 24 people we had their. I do wish there was a second microwave and stove, to be honest. The three fridges and I’ve maker were awesome!! Would love to stay there again!

Organization and availability of the gear to available indoor games, as well as organization of kitchen supplies could be improved. Has a yard, but not really suitable for outdoor games as it is not level--no matter to us since we were present in winter. Quite a winding, hilly back-country drive to reach the place. We would have preferred detailed hardcopy instructions (vs. online attachments) be available for things like utilization of hot tub, laundry facilities, etc., and locations of typically utilized appliances (we looked high and low for coffee maker before finding it on the highest shelf above the fridge on its side with bottom facing out!) and equipment for games. Bottom line: very positive experience for our large family.

We had our wedding at this beautiful property. The cabin was beautiful and the lake and trees in the background made the photos sensational. We plan on going back every year.

My friends and family cannot stop talking about how beautiful the property was and how much space we had inside and out. The house and location were perfect. I don’t have a single complaint. We will definitely be back!

Long weekend getaway with family-Norris lake is beautiful. We were there in off-season so it wasn’t crowded or busy. We were able to take a Pontoon boat out and sightsee for two days from Lakeside view and it was stunning. The house that we rented was very spacious and allowed us all to come together yet have some alone time if needed. We really did have a lovely four days. I was a little disappointed in the maintenance and the cleanliness of our rental space. I found our manager to be very condescending and arrogant. Yet he did send someone over to remedy some of the issues we had. A nice little winery right up the road from us called Chapman Hill winery . If you’re close I recommend checking it out . Overall we were very pleased with our entire trip.

We decided to take the kids and a couple of their friends on a trip to celebrate my sons 10th birthday. We all loved everything about the house and the location. Could not have asked for more!! Cannot wait to stay there again and bring a larger group!!

Couldnt have asked for a more relaxing, beautiful lake COVID family retreat getaway. It was perfect and we were so fortunate to have found an opening so late in the season, to accommodate all of us, for a MUCH needed getaway. A great time was had by all

A lovely home for a large family of varying ages. The five grandchildren (ages 8-19) made the bunk room their home. Great seating for everyone at meals and plenty of dishes,etc. for all. The three refrigerators are a life saver since grocery stores are a distance. We enjoyed the deck, covered porch, and dock. A short walk to the dock made it easy to take out boat or jet skis anytime. We loved the beautiful mountains and waterway. Overall a wonderful vacation for the whole family.

This house is amazing. ALL the space and the open floor plans in the living spaces were absolutely perfect for our holiday gathering with children and grandchildren. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms are spacious and overall extremely comfortable. There's a large ice-maker in the lower level by the laundry room that we didn't find until the second day. The yard is wonderful and deer were grazing near by off and on our entire stay (very peaceful)! We were extremely happy! Note that big grocery stores are 20-30 minutes away.
