Loved the location! Quiet. The house was clean and everything we needed was there. Hot tub was clean and in working order.

Perfect spot for 3 couples who enjoy the lake. Great kitchen to cook in. Lots of room hot tub and game room nice!

We had a number of issues at this property, such as wasp nests and a problem with the gas grill. The VRBO staff was very responsive and sent maintenance staff quickly. The pullout couch in one room was very uncomfortable so the staff brought a couple of air mattresses which helped quite a bit.

My friends and I very much enjoyed October Moon. We slept well, and we particularly enjoyed the large yard between the house and the lake. All of the amenities were great and as-advertised. We had zero problems with the hot tub, which worked exactly as advertised and was completely clean. We used the kitchen for cooking without any problems. This was absolutely a 5-star trip!

We had a rainy week. There was no awning on porch,,so we did have a few hours of no rain and sat on our porch only to have neighbors scream. At us to shut up, at 9:01. pm ,also our fire pit was filled with old burned debris we were unable to use it and np way to clean it and the bed room with single beds had uncomfortable mattress. We will not return to this property-we actually left one day early

Nicely updated kitchen. Plenty of room and lots of fun things to do in the house. Only negative is the beds are terribly uncomfortable

I was leary after reading a review posted in the beginning of December but we found this place very clean. The hot tub was hot and clean. There is an issue with the hot water as you have to keep on adjusting the water between hot and cold. The only problem we had was that the driveway and entryway was covered in ice and snow and we had no way the clear if. I would return again!

This home didn’t live up to its advertised deal. We wanted a fire-pit and hot tub - requirements of our stay and this house advertised both. However, both were not usable. We brought wood 3 hours from home but the firepit butts up within 6 inches of the floating dock so we didn’t feel safe lighting it up. Nor did we feel safe getting to it in the pitch black as it was so far from the house. The hot tub when we arrived was unlocked. The jets barely worked and the water was not the temperature listed. We could not get it hot only mildly warm Plus it had a musty, bad mildew smell. We paid $65 to extend our stay so we could take an early morning hot tub and we couldn’t do it. Not warm enough and too stinky. I’d love my Money back for that extension. The showers in the house on both levels went from Cold to scalding hot without touching anything while in them. Not good. Is there something wrong with the water / plumbing ?? Overall this home felt dirty, cushions and some dishes were dirty. Blankets ripped and Comforters dingy. The ping pong table cracked. The pool table felt is ripped on top and pockets broken Being a pet friendly place does not mean it has to be a trashed place. Outside steps were slippery and unsafe. We were not impressed.

1. Could use a bigger hot water tank. It runs out of hot water quickly. We had to time showers strategically. 2. Could benefit from a real bed in the left bedroom upstairs. Pull out bed is extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for two people. Otherwise we love it. This was our second year in a row staying here, and would pick it again if these updates were made. The new updated kitchen and appliances and new living room couch are both amazing! Great yard and dock space for kids and dogs!

This was our second year staying at October Moon. Nice to see the upgrades to the kitchen and bathroom. The housekeeping was nice. Close to everything by land and water.

This property was perfect for our family vacation! The kitchen has recently been renovated and was beautiful. The views from the deck at any time of the day was breathtaking, watching the sun rise in the morning to enjoying the boating during the day. We rented a pontoon boat for the week that added to our vacation enjoyment and the dock was really nice, especially the wider dock on the one side! We also had our Labradors with us that enjoyed the water as much as we did! The evenings were topped off with s’mores at the gorgeous fire pit by the lake with of course some adult beverages! The game room downstairs was the site of some fierce ping ball competitions and having an easy access downstairs directly to the lawn was a bonus. The only change we would like would be handrails going into the basement , but that will not keep us from giving an enthusiastic 5 stars to this lovely lake front getaway😁

If I could give 4.5 stars I would. The house exceeded expectations! They have redone the kitchen and it’s very nice. Great yard leading to the water and dock. Amazing fire pit! Docked a star because the attention to detail could have been better in regards to cleaning. Pink mold around toilet seat hinges, dirty tub upstairs, hot tub full of dirt and hot tub water was yellowish. We still had a great time!! Don’t let the small things deter you, the house was excellent. Excellent Location, outdoor amenities, dog friendly, quiet street, plenty of bathrooms! Just couldn’t give it five stars with the few small things out of place.

We were pleasantly surprised with the updates made to this house. The house has everything you need to relax and have fun. The kitchen was well stocked and even had a Keurig machine:) The view was beautiful from the deck and the yard has plenty of space for dogs and to play wiffleball. We loved this house and it was perfect for our family fun! We will definitely be back.

Loved the recent upgrades!! This dog friendly house has ample outdoor space for wiffleball, frisbee, etc. Great dock. Basement has a full bath, laundry, ping pong, and pool table.

This place was awesome! The house was really nice and between the game room, fire pit, and hot tub there was plenty to do right on the property. We would definitely stay at this property again.

House was clean everything was as advertised

This older home was in a beautiful location right on the lake with beautiful views right from the couches. Great stop for a family of teens. The basement was a blast for us and the couch was comfy. It's an older home but that added to the charm. Some newer board games would have been appreciated and some attention to detail around the hot tub (it was pretty grimy to be in honestly) would have made the stay perfect but the communication with the team about a few very very minor concerns balanced everything out well. Thank you!

Great view of the lake. Downside was the hot water was in short supply, definitely not taking a 5 minute shower without running out. Pool sticks did not have tips. Ping pong paddles were worn and need replaced. Outdoor trash cans were full from previous people.

The location of the house, the views of the lake, the pier was awesome

Close and nearly level access to the lake and dock. Spectacular views of the lake and countryside during the day and the stars at night. Inside had many TVs (Xfinity on all), DVD players and easy Wifi. Great queen-sized bed on main floor along with bedroom, living room and dining area. Easy access to the boat launch ramp at Deep Creek State Park and the many eateries and conveniences along Rt. 219.

Needed a place to stay for 2 days for a mountain bike race at Deep Creek Lake State Park. This place was sufficient. Very close to the park.

The location was excellent, having private dock and access to the water was awesome. The large yard was great for the dogs and we even got to use the fire pit. The internet and cable were not working for the first 2 days of our trip. This was somewhat of an inconvenience as service is spotty there and it was hard to look up what restaurants/attractions were open and worth seeing. However, after communicating with Vacasa, Comcast came out on the 3rd day and diagnosed and fixed the issue. The property itself could use a little updating. Some drywall patches that need painted, updating the pool sticks(tips broken, but operable with the glue they provided), linoleum peeling in some spots. Overall everyone was pleased with the stay. The fact that they allow pets was huge for us. The large yard, fire pit, water access, games in the basement, hot tub(worked, but we didn't get around to using), close to attractions and restaurants were all pros to staying at this rental.

Customer service was awful, the well pump broke during our stay and communication was non-existent. We were held hostage and couldn't make alternate plans.

With 2 kids and a dog in-tow, this place met/exceeded our needs. The dock and firepit area became our gathering spot. No real need to go into town, but when we did the drive was super easy

Overall, this house provided a nice home-away-from-home for our family vacation. We have several toddlers and dogs, and the yard was perfect for fun activities with them. The shore line was perfect for the kids to play in! I think the home could use a little updating. The beds weren't very comfortable and the hot water tank is very small; therefore, we had to plan out shower times to allow for the hot water tank to fill back up. Otherwise we ran out of hot water. However, we had a really great time with family and overall the home worked well for us.

This house needs a lot of work: The kitchen is not well equipped, it only had 3 very small wine glasses, no cutting boards, all the knives were dull, all the non stick pans were scratched. All the bathroom vanities are disintegrating from the moisture. The carpet smelled like urine. The furniture is dirty and with cigarette burns. The basement was musty. The outside furniture is broken. The only good things about this house are the view, the fire pit, and the neighbor who offered to loan a couple of wine glasses. Needless to say we’ll never stay at October Moon again.

Very relaxing and the house had lots of space

We had a great time. I only wish the house was available for a longer length of time. 5 days was not enough. Loved the fact that the house was not on the main part of the lake. The quite area of the lake was perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding.

Easy, exactly as described, great location. Clean house. Plenty of amenities

We knew the house was pet friendly when booked. What we were not prepared for was the imbedded dog hair, urine soaked carpets throughout the house, and urine soaked couches. I have stayed at plenty of "pet-friendly" VRBO homes and have never experienced a house like this. We had to lay blankets down on the main floor of the family room and the furniture so our kids could play without being immersed in the smell of dog pee. In addition, the sliding glass doors did not have screens so we had to leave the doors open to air out the house. The ignite button did not work on the grill. There was not a broom in the house nor a working vacuum for us to clean up after meals.
