Recommend this home for so many reasons. Close to everything on water and off. Love the Cabana club. Drinks and food pool ocean was great and just a clip away. Greg/owner was easily accessible and very nice

We had a wonderful time during our vacation! The house is very clean, and the bed is soft and comfortable. We loved hanging out on the balcony where we saw the boats passing by on the canal, enjoyed the breeze and beautiful view, and watched Jupiter in the evening sky from the balcony! We also enjoyed grilling fresh seafood we bought from the local fish market, Fish Tale. The Cabana Club house is absolutely a gem – our 5-year old daughter loved the swimming pool while we enjoyed the peaceful view of the ocean and had conversations with other people. The private beach in front of the clubhouse is clean, quiet, and with a gorgeous view. Was also able to play pickleball with the locals on a fabulous set of courts located in the complex. People are very friendly and the pace of life here is nice and slow – a perfect place for our vacation! Strongly recommend this place and we definitely would love to come back soon! Gregg our host was very friendly and responsive.

The house was located in a easy access canal for renting a boat which was great. Living room was spacious for 5 people. The neighborhood is super quiet. The lights under the house were out which made it hard to see when grilling given it gets dark at 5:30 in the fall/winter. The house was clean and had no odd smells. The only things that need to improve is their is a lack of silverware, the pans are all damaged and need replacing, and there is no soap or laundry detergent provided. Given we need to clean the towels I would hope to be provided with the tools needed to complete that without spending my own money on detergent.

We love the Key Colony Beach Area. It was our 1st time staying at this property and we enjoyed everything about it. The home is a little out dated (which the rental price reflected) but was very clean and roomy with great views of the canal. We spent our days out on the water and was nice to come back to the dock, tie up the boat then clean our catch and cook upstairs in the very well equipped kitchen. We loved our back deck and the views of the canal while watching other boaters returning from their travels. The owner Gregg was very nice to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

Although the property is older it is clean and comfortable. Gregg was very accommodating to work with. We always have so much fun when we go down to the keys and this trip was no different. Very nice to have a place on a canal especially since we like to rent a boat for a few days. Would like to of seen better cookware and sharp knives as we do like to cook or ourselves. Overall I would recommend this house for your extended stay.

Property was was in good condition and location.

The property was exactly as described. It was very roomy and comfortable, and the deck was great for relaxing and watching the activity on the canal. The convenience of the public boat launch was fantastic. We had a great, relaxed vacation and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property had better views than the post showed. The inside was dated but clean and had plenty of towels, blankets, pillows and cooking utensils. Everything was comfortable and the place was so convenient. We made use of the beach club multiple times. It was very nice to have that ability. We also really appreciated the list of restaurants with highlights and comments. We used it often and it didn’t steer us wrong once. Relaxing in the evening was awesome in the spacious living room. Plenty of comfy seating for all. Coffee in the mornings was fantastic on the porch. Beautiful view and plenty of seating again. There were neighbors on the other side for part of our stay and we couldn’t hear anything through the walls. That was a nice surprise. Our only complaints would be the fact that the sheets wouldn’t stay on the beds. The fitted sheets are stretched out too much. Sheet clips or new sheets would go along way. The sheets were nice feeling but too stretched to stay on the beds. And finally the lack of toilet paper and garbage bags, and hand soap. There were only two rolls of toilet paper and 2 garbage bags for an 8 day stay with a family of 4. And the liquid soap in the guest bath was empty when we got there and the master bath hand soap clearly had water added to it. In a pandemic I really appreciate ample hand soap. The last issue was they mention starting the wash before leaving but there was no laundry detergent to do so. These complaints are minor in my opinion. Easily taken care of with a quick trip to the store. I would absolutely stay again. I just figure with the mention of these inconveniences perhaps when I do stay again they won’t be an issue.

The property was spotless. The neighborhood was very quiet. The bed linens were clean. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware, plates, cups and utensils. We would stay there again.

This rental was the perfect location for our trip. Centrally located, immaculate, and the pool and beach were terrific. Would definitely stay again.

Family and I had a nice time at the property. No real surprises as the property is just like the pictures, not updated but in decent condition and clean. All I would change would be the towels provided which were poor quality and condition, and the lack of propane in the gas grills. Make sure you check propane day 1 so you don't discover you have none with a tray full of steaks in your hands. If not for the towels and propane I would say 5 stars considering all else was as advertised and expected.

The house was spacious, clean and homie. We enjoyed staying there. The dock for our boat was perfect, we even enjoyed our kayak in the canal. We got to see a manatee. The kitchen is fully stocked . The only thing I would suggest to make the house perfect is to fix the blinds in the bedrooms so the sun doesn’t wake me up every morning. Hope to come back next year. Thank you 😊�

We had a family of six we fit very comfortably we all had our own space very spacious. Nice quiet area everything close by was nice to have access to cabana club. Would recommend staying here and would stay there in the future

We really enjoyed our stay 501 9th Street. The house was spacious, and the layout was perfect. We loved our canal view. Key Colony Beach is a wonderful, easily walkable town. Residents gather at Sunset Beach every evening to watch the sun go down. Gay was very helpful and provided extensive information about the area, including the restaurants. We loved our Florida Keys experience.

Ample parking for three vehicles and my trailer. Property as described

We were very disappointed when we first walked into the property. First thing we noticed was that the kitchen cabinet drawers wouldn’t open properly and when it did it was a not so nice surprise to see the inside of the drawers. The kitchen cabinet doors below the sink wouldn’t close properly and I actually caught my flip flop causing me to trip. There was plaster missing on the hallway ceiling as well as multiple water stains. The master bathroom has mold around the shower enclosure and a poorly repaired wall above the sink. Tiles are needing grout and just looks like a 5 year old did the repair. The TV in the master bedroom doesn’t work either and there was a light switch that says dresser lamp switch. No lamp on the dresser and no lights on the ceiling either. Do I continue? Pots and pans were unusable as the non stick coating was peeling off. Health hazard. The downstairs car port lights didn’t work and the dock lights worked on the 5th night of our rental. Very very disappointing. I contacted the owners and I am still waiting for a reply from them. The refrigerator looked beat up, rusty and old with all kinds of notes and instructions that were all handwritten. Lots of rules and threats of additional charges if we lowered the AC thermostat. Look elsewhere. The view is great. The neighbors are nice. Ocean and bay access was short and quick. Other than that, the place leaves much to be desired. Our family rented both units as the property is a duplex. $4000. for a weeks rental and couldn’t get the owners to address or even reply to my concerns. Let’s not get into the glassware and utensils that they provide. Won’t be renting from them ever again and will suggest you keep looking.

Just as the tittle states, this property is clean, comfortable and relaxing. We felt at home the moment we arrived. The accommodations are simple, but well maintained and nicely appointed. Did I mention clean? I stress this point because the place we had just come from on Big Pine was anything but. It really makes you appreciate people who look after their rentals and truly have their guests' best interest in mind. The owner, Gay, is also a pleasure. We hope to stay again.

First, I have stayed at this property several times over the years & found the previous 2 reviews to be extremely nit-picky & over-the-top negative. We had a very good experience. We found everything we needed in the kitchen (dishes, etc) as we did in rest of the unit. We were very comfortable & found unit to be clean & comfortable. Gay is a good communicator & was available to answer our questions. We enjoyed the area & walking to Key Colony Inn for dinners. Cabana Club is a real plus. Thank you Gay for sharing your home. We hope to come again next Spring.

We found this unit very dated and depressing. The bath tile floors were cracked, and in places rubble. The kitchen poorly outfitted, no cereal bowls, the cookware unusable, fridge was in terrible condition and without ice, reminders taped to walls to keep h/c on 78 degrees, unplug coffee, must be present to run dryer, all with threats of further charges. The boat dock was falling apart in need of serious repair . The master bed was like concrete.

Having stayed on 9th St 4 years ago at a property 3 doors away I was disappointed with this house. In comparison this was quite poor. The kitchen wasn't well equipped, the toaster didn't work. The mugs/cups and glasses were dirty. The PLASTIC cereal bowls are old, cracked and grey.Maybe were once white! Some ceiling lights/lamps didn't work at all. The kitchen badly needs renovating.The whole house is poorly equipped and needs modernisation. In comparison to our previous rental I would score this 2/10. We went into the rental office and were introduced to the owner who showed us round his office and said come into the back office and gave us some information and said "now this is what you are hear for"....I said we are not in a position to buy a property and he said "well let me tell you anyway" he clearly thought we were there to buy a holiday home. We had given no hint that this is why we were in KCB and clearly this was a waste of sales patter to us as we just wanted to get out in the sun and enjoy our day. He told us how much money he paid for the property and that he had purchased a house on 12th St. clearly this is not what we wanted to here-the fact that he told us how much money he has made when all the time we were thinking then spend some cash modernising the property you are renting to us at quite an expensive rate. The position is wonderful and really is the only selling point. The owners also own the joining property and our neighbours advised us they it was also needing modernisation and didn't have any bowls at all and had to eat cereal from a coffee mug and had complained to the rental office about the poor quality of the rental property and was told "how dare you"! by the agent. This was our 3rd visit to KCB - an area we love but we will not use this property or the booking office Keys Property rentals again. The agent was called Karen Liskey and she was rude to me on the emails. Next visit will be booked in Gail's who gave an excellent service, beautifully furnished property and a welcome bag-which was very welcome after a long flight from the UK. Even though I had advised Karen that would not be arriving until around 10pm I still had to mail her the day before to find out where the key would be! I think the agent needs to improve her customer service skills, the house badly needs some renovation and the owner needs to make visitors more welcome and not be boastful of money made from shabby holiday rentals. overall a disappointing house.
